Wow uh

Finally posting something to this godforsaken app.

Um.

Hi chat.

I’m honestly trying to create a friendly little corner of this hellsite so uh, yeah! If you’re queer, neurodiverse, disabled or odd in some way shape or form hit me up.

I don’t judge.

A bit about me, I’m almost 16 (in July, woohoo!), I’m intersex and queer, VERY neurodiverse, disabled, and a little weirdo. My special interest is Scooby Doo, I love horror media as a whole, and I love film/cinema.

Nice to officially meet you all.

BPD makes relationships almost unbearable. I think I'd just assume be alone. Then we can heal. And move forward. Plus, being alone doesn't sound half bad. I won't hurt anyone that way.

BPD Acceptance & Awareness Flag

BPD Acceptance & Awareness Flag
BPD Acceptance & Awareness Flag

While there is a popular black and white BPD flag, I wanted to create one with more colour to show the depth of BPD. I was inspired by the NPD Awareness Flag by npdsafe, and the alternate NPD flag by npdflag to make this. I followed the amount of stripes the NPD flag has as to show solidarity between cluster B disorders.

Stripe Meanings:

(#000000) Black: Duality, Emptiness, and Support —

Black and White both represent the duality of BPD. Along with that, black represents feellings of being void, hollow and emptiness. It also represents support for people with BPD.

(#711f49) Purple-Red: Negative Intense Emotions —

Purple-Red, Dark Magenta, represents intense negative emotions, both internal and external. This includes overwhelming feelings of rejection, feelings of abandonment, anger, and more.

(#e24069) Pink-Red: Positive Intense Emotions —

Pink-Red, Lipstick Pink, represents intense positive emotions, both internal and external. This includes feelings of europhoria, love, healing, wellbeing, and more.

(#d6cce8) Light Lavender: Fear and Dissociation —

Light Lavender, Haze, represents fear, fear of abandonment, paranoia, dissociation, loss of sense of identity, feeling out of touch with reality, derealisation, and depersonalisation.

(#ada1d3) Dark Lavender:Solidarity and Remembrance. —

Dark Lavender, Periwinkle, represents solidarity between people with BPD and other cluster B disorders. It also serves as a reminder of the different ways BPD presents itself in different people. It also serves rememberance of those with BPD who have passed away.

(#ffffff) White:Duality and Recovery —

White and Black both represent the duality of BPD. Along with that, white represents recovery, and that people with BPD are not hopeless.

Sometimes I wish I wasn't so resentful, that I wasn't so hateful at times. Hatred does consume your soul in a way. But I can't help it. And for the love of God sometimes I wish people would just understand that.

Like all throughout places like special ed school, or even support groups, I would get bullied relentlessly by people who were neurodivergent or had a mental illness of some kind, and I'd get told "they can't help what they do, just ignore it" or "be nice to them regardless, they already have it hard as is", but I, with the same neurodivergenies and mental illnesses, never get afforded the same treatment. Why don't I get treated like that when my mental illness or trauma makes me say some fucked up shit? Or have violent thoughts? Or have outburts?

Even here on tumblr all I hear is "support people who get angry or violent from mental illness" and stuff like that, but the exact same story. They say something genuinely hurtful, they get defended because they "can't help it", but when I have an episode, I get degraded even further.

Just fuck all the way off. I get it. I fucking get it. I'm the unwanted here. Everybody else is more important than me. But you don't have to be mean about it, and at the very least, don't degrade me for something you defend or even praise others for.

I actually made the flag colored symbol by accident; I cropped the image using the magic wand tool intending to make a perfectly square image, and accidentally cropped out parts of the flag as well, creating the effect of alpha inheritance. Because of the symbol's position on the flag, it does not have all the colors, but if anyone is interested, I can make a more polished version of the flag colored symbol!
