love how easily people show their true face when you say women objectively have it worse than men

when women’s oppression gets brought up, i can’t stop admiring men’s unwillingness to admit that their “suffering” isn’t caused by women.

“men die at wars😞😠” and guess who’s sending them to wars! and guess who made it so that historically only men can go into the army!

“we aren’t allowed to express our emotions😢” or what? you won’t fit the standard of a strong heroic man? who made that standard?

“women are gold diggers😒why must i pay for you at the restaurant?🤨” who set up the system in which women had no income and were dependant on their husband?

bro. i’ll tell you why your hand is hurting and bruised. that’s because you keep punching women in the face.

My only problem with this, is that in this entire shitshow, nobody seems to think about minors that have no say in the matter. Whether their parents have good or bad intentions, sometimes they're still forced to and don't get to have a say in it, yet they have to live with the consequences.

With how RFK has been speaking about autistic people and his plans for them, I don’t want to hear FUCK against self-diagnosis ever again when shit like this directly demonstrates what formal diagnosis can lead to — and there is worse to come, I guarantee. An autistic person’s choice to not be put on a Eugenics Hitlist is pretty fucking valid I’d say actually

absolutely abysmal that a so called safe space for disabled and chronically ill people is taking the side of doctors and the medical system. Y'all should really know better, they ain't trynna help you, otherwise they would've done so 5 years ago before your symptoms became detrimental and ruined your life

I'd take this argument more seriously if you weren't the same people who acted like pap smear ad campaigns that said "people with cervixes" instead of women was the pinnacle of evil

not to be dramatic but the phrase "putting a bun in the oven" is disgusting. Not only does is objectify and reduce women, but also why are people so afraid of using the real word? Like there's grown adults who say "sex" as by spelling it out while whispering. These people can vote, drive, work a job. It's genuinely weak and disgusting.

Like just..... Sex, pregnant, vagina, uterus. Oh well gee would you look at that, I didn't get raptures out of existence. And neither will you. Just say pregnant instead of reducing women to their wombs and treated said womb as just another object or commodity to be used.

yeah so I don't wanna be heartless or anything, but genuinely get fucked lol. Classic case of "I wanted others to suffer, I never thought it would happen to *me*"

Sorry for the actual baby who may have to grow up facing discrimination due to this, but, as for the parents, lol. lmao, even

‘We were horrified’: parents heartbroken as baby girl registered as male
the Guardian
Parents told Nottinghamshire registrar’s error on birth certificate cannot be changed

A newborn baby girl will have to go through life with the wrong sex on her birth certificate after a registrar’s error, which her parents have been told they cannot change. Grace Bingham and her partner, Ewan Murray, were excited to register their first child at the Sutton-in-Ashfield Registration Office in Nottinghamshire last week. But, after nights of broken sleep, they failed to notice the registrar had written the wrong sex on the birth certificate until after it had been submitted. “We were horrified but assumed that, as we saw the mistake just a few seconds after it had happened, correcting it would be an easy matter,” said Murray. “But although the registrar apologised for her mistake – and the area manager also apologised – it turns out that birth certificates can’t be changed.”

this article is interesting because it demonstrates that cis people can very easily apply structural thinking to sex assignment - this couple immediately identifies that their daughter, having mistakenly been assigned male at birth by the registrar, will have administrative problems in employment, education, travel, and so on. they pretty adeptly identify the foundational role that sex assignment plays in the administrative and civil functions of a state, and how incorrect sex markers effectively produce a ‘rational’ reason for discrimination within these administrative and civil arenas:

The General Register Office (GRO), which is responsible for administering all civil registration in England and Wales, and the Home Office have both confirmed that Lilah’s birth certificate cannot be reissued, although an amendment can be made in the margin of the original document. But Bingham said this is not enough. “People reading a birth certificate might easily miss a tiny note in the margin – which means that Lilah could be regarded as male when she applies for school, her passport, for jobs – for everything that she needs a full birth certificate for.”

And given that this was published in The Guardian, this article makes zero mention as to why it’s impossible for this couple to receive an updated birth certificate with correct information (something the author notes was possible to do a year ago), but the reason is obviously transphobia.

Now one might ask why there’s no exception for cis people whose birth certificates were recorded incorrectly at birth, but this reveals the instability of cissexualism. How would you determine who is a cis person with a mistaken birth certificate, versus a trans person who wants to change their mistaken sex assignment record? Sure, you could say well, this is an infant, of course she’s “really” “biologically” female (something the parents argue in the article as grounds for having their child’s birth certificate re-issued), but 1) that certainly can’t be argued for in all cases, 2) 'biological sex' is understood by medical doctors as alterable through hormones and surgery, which trans people are often required to undergo in order to change their records, and 3) binary sex assignment is already imprecise and discretionary, particularly if infants have sex characteristics that don’t conform to binary F/M assignment standards (which is part of how the category of intersex emerges, framing this failure to conform to state census categories as a biological defect - and in fact, many intersex people do not discover they are intersex until the onset of puberty or later, at which point they are even less in luck if they want to change their sex assignment - and if they don’t, if they are cis but have sex characteristics that do not conform to cis standards, they will be discriminated against anyway).

Even setting aside the issue of transgender and intersex people for a moment, states fuck up all the time in administration! you've probably either experienced this directly or know someone who's had some kind of record fucked up by the government at some point in their life. If you get married they could fuck up changing your last name, fuck up your disability status, record your social insurance number wrong, print the wrong address on your driver’s license, fail to acknowledge you as a dependent when filing taxes, incorrectly mark you as having graduated when you’re still a student, fuck up your immigration paperwork, record your name wrong during immigration, etc etc into infinity, and this is not even getting into errors that occur when different levels of government pass information between one another. This level of administrative rigidity is purely to punish people who fail to perform cissexualism correctly, and in the case of this couple's child, the administrative error of the state is imputed to them as a personal failure that she and her parents will now have to deal with for the rest of their lives.

I think the ultimate analysis is not that transphobia will become less precise and hit more "wrong" targets as it expands its reach, but that this is the exact same operational logic as all other liberal state measures - if you encounter a systemic issue, it’s your fault for not avoiding it, fuck you, go away. You’re poor because you’re lazy, you’re unhoused because you’re lazy, you’re disabled because you’re lazy, and your daughter is now administratively transsexual because you’re lazy. In this case, we don’t even need to assume the intentions of the state - they outright say it:

The family complained to the GRO but was told the mistake was their responsibility and could not be fully rectified. “The duty to ensure that information recorded in any particular entry is true is the responsibility of the person providing the information and not of the registrar general or the registrar recording the birth,” the GRO said.

this 1000%. I've seen trans women upset that they aren't included in rape shelters and the like and their reasoning doesn't go much beyond parroting "trans women are women" and "muh inclusion". Are these people really too dense to understand the difference between a hair salon and a rape shelter? ffs.

I blame cis people for this, but I don't think that transfem people should be centered in conversations around 'Women's Issues'. The truth is that most queer people are misunderstanding what 'Women's Issues' actually are. They try to make it inclusive by claiming that transfems and transwomen are welcome, that if you identify as a woman then clearly 'Women's Issues' apply to you too.

And we can argue that transfems are in need of reproductive justice too, because of course they are. But when you claim that abortion is a 'Women's Issue', you're not helping transwomen and transfems, you're still being an exclusionist piece of shit.

I don't think transfeminine people should be centered in this discussion because these AREN'T issues that only women go through. Reproductive justice is important, but not when it excludes the transmen and transmascs who get raped, sold & married off, & forcibly detransitioned just so they can bare children. I don't care that you 'don't feel included' by white cis feminists when they talk about 'Women's Issues', because you're not the one being denied an abortion for having an M on your ID. Or being denied an abortion, period!

'Look at how uninclusive this event about Women's Rights is!' And what the fuck are YOU going to do about it when you get into this little club by climbing over the bodies of your trans brothers? Come the fuck on!

I'm so sick of 'Women's Issues'. I'm so sick of 'female' spaces' biggest issue being that they exclude transfems, & not that they're actively hostile towards transmascs who NEED these services.

Inclusion is important, but not when it means forming an exclusive little clique that leads to more death. This isn't your conversation to lead.

true except for bottom surgery.

Nothing can make up for 2+ decades dickless and that's *if* I even make it to that point(or even ever get it at all)

From one Gen-Z to another, let’s continue to deprogram ourselves from the idea that 30 is old and you need to have your shit together before 30.

You can go back to school after age 30!

You can fall in love after age 30!

You can find a best friend after age 30!

You can find a passion after age 30!

You can find a job you love after age 30!

You can recover from an addiction after the age 30!

You can pursue a large goal after age 30!

You can travel the world after age 30!

You can move after age 30!

You can change your appearance after age 30!

You can ask for help after age 30!

You can make discoveries about yourself after age 30!

You can come out after age 30!

You can fix your finances after age 30!

You can be attractive after age 30!

You can fix your life after age 30!

You can do anything after age 30!

Idk what so specifically about the number 30 has bewitched so many of us into believing that means your life is over, but it’s just so far from the truth!

You have so much more time after 30 to accomplish all that you want to do.

Your life isn’t over until it quite literally is over. Stop giving yourself a deadline that doesn’t exist!

Learned a few days ago that therapy seems much less effective nowadays because therapy is based on learning that your anxiety and depression are unwarranted. Unfortunately, in today's society, they're very warranted.

Learning that really changed my view. Not for the better, but it did change it.

My most toxic trait is thinking "there's people far worse than me" is a legitimate excuse. Like it really is in my opinion. But for some reason that seems a way of toxic thinking and now I'm feeling conflicted

For once in my damned life I wish I could be 100% honest. Even if I'm "being for real" with my friends, it's still not 100%. Because the real me is a disgusting asshole and can be downright heartless and I wouldn't have any friends left if I was actually saying what I thought.

You know that thing with a ball in a jar, where the ball represents grief and the jar represents you? And while the ball doesn't change, the jar gets bigger, representing that grief doesn't get less, it's just that you grow bigger. When I got first introduced to that concept, it seemed ridiculous. But since then... I know that it's true. There's certain things in my life, if I actively think about them, they get me just as mad and worked up as if they happened yesterday. However, they don't occupy my mind 24/7 anymore, like they did when they did happen recently. And I think that's exactly what they mean with the ball in a jar analogy. And I suppose that's better than nothing.

God I fucking wish I could get some actual compensation for the harm trans healthcare has done to me, both mentally and physically.

Unfortunately I live in a country where you can't sue a healthcare organization, and if you could, not like I have the money for a lawsuit.

But seriously. How the *fuck* can someone who got top surgery consenually at 21 sue an entire branch of healthcare out of existence(the Keira Bell case), but I can't even get a black and white formal apology for making me disabled, traumatized, and forever underdeveloped(mentally and socially)? And I can't even openly talk about that happening to me y'all scream "they're harmless, they're reversible" like fucking brainless parrots.

Got a little too worked up there at the end but god dammit it's true. Nobody wants to acknowledge my suffering, or just wants to use me as transphobic propaganda without actually caring about me, the person.

It sucks being stuck between people who say that you're suffering is either your own fault, that you should shut up about it because it's harmful to the "positive trans image", and people who will only care about it if you parrot their reactionary propaganda.

This 100%. Why is it always "awwww but I'd miss you so much" and never like.... something that would actually matter to me, or would benefit me. Even just a "I'm sorry you'll never get to live life to the fullest" or "I'm sorry for everything you got robbed off" because at least that's about ME, the actual person, and not about the relation I have towards other people

It's cruel that others expect me to keep living a life of suffering just because it'd make them feel bad if I died

Even ignoring my dysphoria, mental illness, and the general state of the world and society, you know what really makes me want to end it all?

My memory loss due to depression. One of the main functions of our brain and it just doesn't work. Some of my core memories are gone or severely altered. My short term memory is absolute shit. And this is all permanent.

I'm about to turn 20, only 20, and I already have a massive setback compared to my peers. All due to being born into incredibly shitty circumstances that I never stood a chance against. *that* is what makes me really want to end it all. To physically feel my mind, and to extend, body deteriorating. Being suicidal, and by extension, if I actually were to do it.. it is absolutely not a choice. I don't want to die, especially not this young. I'm supposed to have an entire life ahead of me.

Except, I kinda don't. And either way I don't want it with this body and mind.
