Hades: Love is dead and never existed. All you did was betray me as I lay sick and festering. You are the definition of dread.
Persephone: ... are you okay???

Forgive us for being a little salty about your 20 minute commute.
I don’t know why, but I think some Americans don’t realise how big the UK is….
American Customer: you’re English right? Do you know the bookshop between Wales and Bristol that has lots of books in?
Me in my head: yeah mate, I know that one. Classic. Love to pop down there on a cheeky break between work. What a wanker…
Something I say daily
“This is so sad, I might start crying.”
Preach!
Remember a mother feeding her child in public is partially for your own convenience, If she doesn’t feed her child you would be stuck listening to a screeching banshee.
Now I want you to ask yourself which would you rather tolerate?
A screaming child who doesn’t know any other way to express that it’s hungry?
Or letting the woman feed the baby.
I love what happens when creative minds see the same post
Today’s problem
what do chairs for dragons look like.
I live in California and I taught one girl named Lux and a boy named Lake
Does anyone else think about how when Europe was terrified of witches among them people started killing cats because the thought the might be familiars, and the massacres of cats likely contributed to the boom in rodent populations which aided in the spread of the black plague.
Reblog if you want a terrible, 3 sentence fan fiction in your ask, based on your url
If I may add
I believe the point of Snicket keeping the time period unclear was to give the story a sense of old fashioned dignity while keeping it up to date for children.
It keeps the story timeless, A Series of Unfortunate Events will remain relevant and entertaining for a very long time without ever truly feeling old.
What she says: I’m fine What she means: What time period does A Series of Unfortunate Events actually take place? There is mention of horse-drawn carriages, but also of motor cycles and automobiles, but the way the three Baudelaires dress is indicative of the nineteen hundred-something’s. Characters are dressed in both early twentieth century clothing as well as up to date clothing. There is mention of computers, fax, and phones but some things seem rather dated. What time in history is it??
Also if this is a stranger or someone who isn’t very close to you make sure you keep a respectable distance (about arms length) and keep you tone polite and positive (you look very nice in that dress vs. HEY YOU NICE DRESS). From personal experience even when the compliment isn’t threatening or sexual it is still scary when a guy invades your space to compliment you, or when they yell it at you.
Though I whole heatedly encourage guys to compliment girls, it is important to remember not to make a scene about it unless it is someone you know won’t mind.
I understand that following all these steps can be confusing and a little hard to follow but I assure you it is better to try and be polite rather than enthusiastic when talking to strangers.
I’m sorry for hijacking the post I just really wanted to put my little two cents in.
So, if im a boy and i want to compliment a girl, idk on her make up or clothes and etc, will it not make her uncomfortable? Not in a hit up way more of a i like your style, would it be ok? Im sorry if it sounds stupid sfjjxfxkhd im bad at communicating
I know what you mean. For most women, no, a general compliment won’t offend or scare them—and might actually brighten their day tremendously. I think a good rule of thumb in situations like these are if it’s sexual, don’t say it.
Respectful/safe examples:- your eyebrows look so good!- your makeup is poppin!- I love your outfit!- nice shoes!- your hair looks so pretty like that!
Disrespectful/unsafe examples:- nice tits!- your body is so sexy- you have a big ass- *wolf whistling* - I bet you’re good in bed
Given, every person is different. Some women may like being complimented on their body, but a lot of us don’t, ESPECIALLY when the compliments are coming from strangers. Basically, if your goal is to not make anyone uncomfortable or to avoid the possibility of making someone uncomfortable, the “respectful examples” are some decent ones to stick to. Anything semi-flirty or sexual can be risky.
I appreciate the fact that you cared enough to ask and don’t want to upset anyone. thank you for the kindness and consideration. have a great day! 💛
When you are at a public pool over the summer DO NOT FLOAT FACE DOWN OR ATTEMPT TO HOLD YOUR BREATH UNDERWATER FOR A PROLONGED AMOUNT OF TIME.
These are actually dangerous behaviors that can easily lead to hyperventilation which can cause you to pass out in the water.
and I promise the lifeguards will jump in after you even if you are not drowning.
There is still a ways to go but I am proud of the progress we’ve made
So 1/3 of the country. That’s insane.

Alphonse Elric could continue to be an optimistic cinnamon roll because his big brother spent most of their childhood shielding him from the reality that they had been failed by every adult in their lives. Edward grew up feeling like he couldn’t count on anyone. Al knew he could always count on Ed.
“Human-Steve! I have been informed that you humans Celebrate an International holiday called Christ-Mass, and even though it seems to be a rather um... odd thing to celebrate, I have petitioned the rest of the crew to celebrate this holiday with you.”
“Wait, what does Jeww-Ish mean.”
“It means you don’t celebrate Christ-Mass? Does that make you alike with the creature Human-Heather described to me as the Grinch?”
my fav trope is like, nonhuman characters not understanding human needs/customs but still being super supportive of their human companion
“look what I found while exploring this planet’s surface!” “kilrak please I’m trying to sleep” “ah yes your human circadian rhythm. *stage whispering* I am supposed to be quiet during this time in your rhythm, yes?”
“the book I purchased on ragnok V says humans require physical touch when upset. therefore, I shall engage in a ‘hug’ with you.” *supremely awkward five-armed hug ensues*
*human sneezes* “OH MY GOD SIL'EEN GET THE MEDIC OUR HUMAN IS DYING”
“this pamphlet I received recently says that humans require companions and packmates in the form of small earth creatures. you should have told me this before we departed earth, but it is no worry. we will have to stop at the next trade planet to get you one of these ‘cats’ or ‘dogs’.”
I can’t understand why there is the stereotype that children of color are aspiring delinquents. Kids can be so beyond selfless and this one would rather stand between a gun and his classmates rather than see them get hurt.
The question I have is why in the hell is a teacher asking kids to be human shields?
This child is one of the reasons why I have faith in today kids, and I pray to God he never has to stand and protect his friends against a mad man.
Read this and try not to cry
Its high time we treat plus size girls like the beauty icons they are.
I glad she is comfortable in her own identity and no longer feels isolated because of her sexuality.
This is why representation matters.
I’m about to cry. My 60 year old mother watched a netflix documentary and only just now found out she’s asexual. I’ve been trying to figure out how to bring up this idea to her for years. I am so glad to hear her, she’s so happy and saying “there really is nothing wrong with me!” I didn’t realize it wore on her like that. God bless the internet.
Be the example to the Gen Z kids, who need support just as much as you do.
hey, one millenial to another?
don’t just leave the gen z kids to clean up this mess. i know we’re all tired, i know we’re all exhausted, but we cannot sit back on our nihilistic laurels and leave them to do this alone.
it’s time to stand back up. it’s time to get back in there. it’s time to fight that fight, and fight it harder.
it’s time to be the adults we wish had stood with us.
Solidarity 😌
While the millennials offer us support we need to rise to the challenge the boomers presented us with. We will make this world better! We will see a day when equality is more than just an ideal!
I will gladly charge across No Mans Land! Whose with me?
millenial generation got a little too beaten down and miserable but im delighted to see that gen z seems to be frothing at the mouth and out for blood
