This man is my role model.
No no no! This is rape! There is no excuse for her actions!
ppl should learn basic anatomy. Physical responses does not equal consent.
Hades: Love is dead and never existed. All you did was betray me as I lay sick and festering. You are the definition of dread.
Persephone: ... are you okay???
Hades: Cerberus stole my frickin garlic bread
Pink to yellow to blue,
colors of pride in my eyes and in my heart.
Love of others; freely given,
Love of myself; tentatively kept.
I see others fly their colors without shame, without fear,
I am jealous of their pride, of their love.
For I cannot know,
If I raise my flag will you tear it down.
You insist your love is unconditional,
My meals provided for free, and my room kept clean.
But in the same breath you condemn me unwittingly,
Spewing hatred of people who are just like me.
If I fly my flag will you learn to accept it?
Will you love me with my sinful pride?
Or will you retract the nineteen years of meals and sanctuary.
Will my love be condemned in your eyes just like all the rest.
The risk is too great, I tell myself.
It won’t be fair.
To ask you to change yourself to love me better,
When you have done your best thus far.
No, I will hide my love.
I will find joy in seeing others raise their flags and claim their identity
For if I close my eyes I can pretend it’s me
Loving and being loved unconditionally, under the colors of pride.
ME!
My sister and I whenever we’re in a bookstore lol.
She is beautiful
HELLO AUTISM COMMUNITY!
I’m sorry, but I’ve gotta rant. The other day I was in New York, and I saw this billboard:
Look a little closer:
Yep, you’re seeing this right. Autism Speaks. On a billboard with Julia. Sesame Street has joined forces with our “pals” (and by pals I mean enemies that we wouldn’t touch with a ten foot pole) over at Autism Speaks. Julia, a character who has been embraced and loved by the autism community, is now the face of Autism Speaks, an organization that has hurt our community more than it has helped. I am heartbroken. This character has made me, as an autistic person, so happy and gave me hope that autism is starting to become more accepted by society. And although I don’t speak for everyone in the autism community, I know that there are many people who felt the same way. But now that this character is the face of an ableist movement which pushes the idea that autism is a disease in need of a cure, that hope is gone. PLEASE reblog this to get the word out, whether you’re on the autism spectrum or not.
I'm literally shaking as I write this
President Sebastián Piñera just declared Chile at "state of emergency" over the riots that are taking place in Santiago.
This means that the police, military and special forces are no longer subject to our constitution's laws; they can legally violate our human rights without getting any punishment.
Guys, I'm scared. They're torturing people and a student is already missing. They're throwing tear gas grenades directly at people, shooting teens and college students, hitting and hurting anyone who happens to be on the streets. They apparently killed two college students already.
Please, please don't let this get swept under the rug.
Also if this is a stranger or someone who isn’t very close to you make sure you keep a respectable distance (about arms length) and keep you tone polite and positive (you look very nice in that dress vs. HEY YOU NICE DRESS). From personal experience even when the compliment isn’t threatening or sexual it is still scary when a guy invades your space to compliment you, or when they yell it at you.
Though I whole heatedly encourage guys to compliment girls, it is important to remember not to make a scene about it unless it is someone you know won’t mind.
I understand that following all these steps can be confusing and a little hard to follow but I assure you it is better to try and be polite rather than enthusiastic when talking to strangers.
I’m sorry for hijacking the post I just really wanted to put my little two cents in.
So, if im a boy and i want to compliment a girl, idk on her make up or clothes and etc, will it not make her uncomfortable? Not in a hit up way more of a i like your style, would it be ok? Im sorry if it sounds stupid sfjjxfxkhd im bad at communicating
I know what you mean. For most women, no, a general compliment won’t offend or scare them—and might actually brighten their day tremendously. I think a good rule of thumb in situations like these are if it’s sexual, don’t say it.
Respectful/safe examples:- your eyebrows look so good!- your makeup is poppin!- I love your outfit!- nice shoes!- your hair looks so pretty like that!
Disrespectful/unsafe examples:- nice tits!- your body is so sexy- you have a big ass- *wolf whistling* - I bet you’re good in bed
Given, every person is different. Some women may like being complimented on their body, but a lot of us don’t, ESPECIALLY when the compliments are coming from strangers. Basically, if your goal is to not make anyone uncomfortable or to avoid the possibility of making someone uncomfortable, the “respectful examples” are some decent ones to stick to. Anything semi-flirty or sexual can be risky.
I appreciate the fact that you cared enough to ask and don’t want to upset anyone. thank you for the kindness and consideration. have a great day! 💛
Hi guys, I’m trying to practice writing if any one want to send in a request send an ask.
