This is my first fic ever so yeah thought i would share it here and make it more accessible to others that don’t like to search hours to find a decent fic.

Jiegen: what..

Conan: yeah… it runs in ur jeans (genes)

Jiegen: “trying not to laugh” pfft

Conan when he moves back to America (Au) and goes to art school meets a cute/handsome guy (that is also part of a gang- not a trashy one) and they fall in love Or whatever and Conan finally gets his happy ending

I Just Noticed, i absolutely need American Conan

It’s been kind of a thought lately but i really want an American Conan, I’m not talking about like him being proud dumb American or anything like that (btw this is not meant to insult or offend anyone) I’m talking about like American skater vibes with nice clothes but breaking the rules once in a while ( even tho he does it a lot already)

Maybe even delinquent vibes yk

How do you think Detective Conan will end? Because i can’t see an end unless it’s a main character death.

I just don’t know how it’ll end. The things Conan experienced (I’m going with Conan and shinichi as different people) are different from shinichi, shinichi was confident in the media, well know and popular.

Meanwhile Conan tries to stay hidden (unless it comes to Kìd) but even then he uses a different name he looks different which means he’s hidden but he still gets caught up in murder cases and in the end it will come down to a final war.

The final war is something I’ve speculated about a lot but i can’t see a good ending unless shinichi or Conan dies (mainly shinichi) idk how to explain it but i don’t see Ran and Shinichi ending up together anymore.

Conan has become her little brother over the past half year and he’s struggled with his identities multiple times like calling Ran née-Chan instead of Ran when he’s shinichi. And the same when he’s Conan.

In the end i just know there isn’t going to be a good ending bc if none of them die, no one is gonna be able to pretend Conan just moved back to America (especially the detective boys) Conan won’t be able to call every week when he’s Shinichi it’s just too complicated and in the end Ran is either gonna lose her little brother or the love of her life

Btw i wrote this at 2 AM so yeah kinda just rambling my thoughts out on tumblr

Ok but do you guys think some conspiracy theorist in the detective conan world think that kudo shinichi died and his ghost is now possessing the sleeping kogoro and that is how kogoro solves cases

the theory: kudou shinichi disappeared after going to the amusement park with mouri ran, was killed there by somebody, his ghost attached himself to ran and then possesses her farther to solve cases - that is also why ppl around kogoro like sonoko or sometimes the odd police detective fall unconscious and then solve the case- the ghost of kudo shinichi possesses them

and bc when he is in his adult form shinichi avoids the tabloids people don't know he is alive

if they know of the the phone calls they are all done by the ghost, he is not strong enough for full possession right now, he commandeers the phone

naturally his youngest relative has a close tie to ghost shinichi that is why he gets the most calls from shinichi-nii-chan- some are convinced conan has psychic powers and can even see the ghost of shinichi -that's why the excuse that he talked with shinichi on the phone feels fake sometimes, the ghost directly told him- but to keep seeing ghost shinichi a secret he pretends shinichi calls him

like it all fits together if kudou shinichi is a ghost possessing mouri kogoro to solve cases

I wanted to mention little details I did for this!

Despite Conan being totally a weird cat, the reason the filter has him as a puppy instead is I often see the cat one being locked onto the first person that appears. Similarly the pink first, blue second, and in some filters red first, blue second. Since Conan's short and spends most of it barely in the image, it made more sense to have the placement sort of switched in comparison to the personalities. I definitely wanted to make the poses and such make up for that, regarding Heiji at least. I can see Heiji being more of a puppy lol.

For the poses, I wanted it to seem like they didn't think the height difference through, and that the timing of the booth took pictures while they tried to get them both in frame. Overall a silly situation.

I considered making the theming more fireworks instead of space but the episodes I was watching around the time seemed to focus on the stars more often, so I think that influenced that choice.

The Happy New year label is actually just my handwriting since it was done last. I tried to make it neat though.

There's a few photo booths at a place I used to work, so I sort of took most my inspiration from the strip shapes from those.

Anyway, that's some details I wanted to mention. I had a lot of fun with this one lol.

I wanted to do something lighthearted and silly, and a photo booth strip was perfect for trying out a few brushes I had sitting unused. I saw you enjoyed the character Heiji, and I hadn't drawn him before, so I was excited to try that out. I added a New Year label version since the new year passing, and a blank one. I tried my best on the handwriting for that, lol.

Ever since you shared your lovely mugs with me, the thought that Ran would get them as a matching kitty set for herself and Conan, wouldn't leave me alone. So I decided to embrace the idea; for both the headcanon and the personal touch.

Originally I planned something more silly, but the soothing vibes of my first sketch were just so lovely, I went with this instead (especially since I thought you might appreciate a bit of peace).

I was burning to draw Sonoko and Heiji next, on one hand because they are just fun to be around and on the other hand since they are the perfect catalysts for the main story to go forward

Conan is kinda struggling

Nothing more terrifying than a small kid staring right through your soul

The Detective Boys dragging Conan out of his shell and forcing him to act his age never gets old, canon or au verse

Also the Kudo parents hearing their son is in "he could actually, truly die" trouble only to respond with "let's scare him to death so he knows he could get into more trouble if he's not careful" is still hilarious to me.
