Ok I kinda need help/thoughts on something
I have a lore on my avatar ( profile pic I drawn) that was caught in the 100 year Keyblade war, defending herself against the heartless and even the darklings with her magic, her sister (in arms),the one that taught her magic,died in her arms with her broken keyblade.
I want my avatar to become a sorta unverse/darkling hybrid ? or a mix of being overwhelmed with negative emotions and darkness naturally? You know, related to rage form, it is that moment she was able to wield a keyblade herself and then somehow managed to escape from the war/world( she gets turned back to normal but I’m still thinking of how she will overcome it,wield it ).
So any ideas/advice.
Ooh okay I see what you're putting down I see where you're going with this. It's a super neat idea and firstly; whatever I say here, you are God, okay? I can suggest and what I hope comes out of this is either something neat enough you really want to use it and make it your own, or one of these ideas makes you go "OH BUT WHAT IF I DO IT LIKE THIS INSTEAD--".
Your OC you take these potential concepts and you rip 'em to pieces for your own delight, k? <3 Anything said here is for you to turn into what You want it to be, not me.
So you have some inciting angst that's going to help you explain why there is an uncontrolled pull of Darkness there to begin with- a tragic death of a loved one, a comrade, someone whose presence haunts the narrative and that is delicious, good stuff- but now you need an inciting Something to 1. Make this a problem and 2. Make this a problem in a way that pursues the growth you want to see.
To me, it sounds like the growth you want to see is that eventual self-control, potentially owning this ala Riku or Vanitas. So we have a goal and we need to spark what brings this goal into play.
The residual affects of being so close to Kingdom Hearts naturally unbalances her Heart because with great power comes great consequences
The war itself - or even the magic responsible for making the Keyblade Graveyard into the empty shell of a World that it is- essentially acted in a way that forced some sort of reaction in your OC's Heart. Something that's either entirely unfixable (you cannot go back to who you were, you can only learn to accept who you are now) or gradually loses that affect over time (you must learn to accept that the past happened and let go of the anguish that controls you).
I like this concept and I'm definitely kind of viewing it in my mind as a sort of-- Anti/Rage or Vanitas Remnant kind of... we'll call it form. One this OC is stuck in, be that because of issues in the Heart or because again, there is an anguish there that she is not recovering from. There is a grief she is refusing to let go.
You have a few ways to play it from there. Are there other characters involved that help her return to herself? Does she need to rely on her own strength of will?
Dive to the Heart is your friend here, either with the added spice of Power of Waking if you want others involved, or her being trapped in a similar way to Aqua in the RoD. She may only really be partially aware of what her body is doing and being for some time, until she slowly begins to build that will again.
Initially the first return to herself is entirely forced by someone else, and she is terrified of it happening again. Because it does happen again. Because she feels reliant on other people to come back from it. Because the question is what happens when, someone isn't there? What happens when someone is there, but it isn't enough anymore? Huge hurt/comfort elements to be seen in taking this approach.
And lastly there is the Terra-Eraqus route where she is Literally being haunted by her sister (in arms), whose Heart stays with her and is trying to call out, but isn't heard for a very, very long time. This is a great way to go if you intend to really lean on just how important that relationship really was, it is the cause of the break, it is the reason for healing. It harms and heals in equal measure.
Hopefully some of this helps! You'll have to let me know what you come up with, or decide to go with!

Soon she became her only friend,her sister (in arms) my avatar also wanted to learn about apothecary since she was interested when Estella explained her expertise of flowers and plants.
She wondered if she can also use them to treat her wounds or even sickness.
Estella is the only one who even takes her to different worlds to help fend against darkness ( call part of training too).

How different things will be if sora infant heart not only heal ventus heart but also vanitas?
They still be pure light and dark or instead probably pure dusk and dawn.
(I read some fics with a similar idea though they are discontinued, I just want to hear your thoughts and opinions about it both canon and AU sense)
I have considerable opinions about Sora and Vanitas because yes, sure, the fact that Sora tied himself to Ven's Heart definitely would have made an impact on Vanitas but at the same time I feel like tethering the two of them together was likely an unexpected consequence that has a closer tie to it than we currently assume, or can really prove, at that.
That said if it was more to the point of, when Ven was initially drawn to Sora, Vanitas was as well... it could've changed a lot. Like, Vanitas probably wouldn't have Unversed anymore, a lot.
And for him that would nix what is, essentially, a chronic pain issue. Creating the Unversed, feeling them die, that's a constant cycle which is pretty brutally described in the BBS novels. The Unversed are literal agony for Vanitas. It's not going to stop Xehanort, it won't save him from being beaten and broken and battered so that the old man gets his refined weapon, but-- his misery would be significantly less, his control would have to be aimed at controlling the Heartless, and it's interesting to think about how that would shift things, for them.
Would he hate Ventus half as much as he does in canon? Particularly once he learns how to use Corridors and he's not just stranded in the Graveyard, when he gets to breathe and take care of himself a bit. Would he have half as much reason to hate him? It's...genuinely hard to say because Vanitas' life would be so much easier if his own Heart wasn't nearly as broken as it is now.
Would fusing even work for them, anymore? We know that their fusion only partially worked and yes, I subscribe to the idea that part of that was Ven's unwillingness to become one, but how does Vanitas return to a Heart that no longer has a gap for him to sit in? How does he take Ven back if he doesn't have a gap for him in turn? Potentially, they wouldn't be a bomb, anymore.
Like, the implications of Sora being Sora and connecting to Vanitas are just, they're so wild. I love them, and they are so wild.
Would everything change if ventus was able to feel vanitas emotions as vanitas feel ventus emotions?

Secondly I will be starting a new fic called Time Will Tell (or, at least, these pages will), which again...will be touching on this. Which means, for the time being, I am keeping my opinions on what it would mean for Ven to feel Vanitas like Vanitas feels Ven...close to my chest. c:

One day I actually might write this concept because I am actually in love with it. I love Ven and Vanitas slowly working out their issues while in Sora's Heart because they're kind of forced into this space where they have to. I love the idea of them getting to be there for Sora since day dot.
And you know Ven would love him, adore him. He'd be the comforting whisper in Sora's ear and the encouragement when he's a little scared, the voice that laughs with him when he's happy. When the breeze picks up (and it's an archipelago, there's always wind) it feels like fingers ruffling Sora's hair, it feels like comfortable hugs. It feels like someone seeing all of him, and loving him desperately for it.
Vanitas would...take a while. It is Vanitas. Ven's there from the start, Vanitas probably doesn't provide anything but bullying and taunts until Sora's about 7-8 years old. But he'd share some of the ways to turn that fear into anger and strength, show him how to stand up against people who are bigger than him, how to protect; himself first, but others, if he must. He'd be the hovering shadow, the reason Sora stops being scared of the dark.
I'm always torn on whether or not they'd teach him anything about Keyblades, but I feel like they'd both be keen to teach him magic if they can. Teach him self defence. While he's still young Ven probably makes creative little games out of it that Riku joins in on, then as Sora gets older and him having "imaginary friends" stops being so cool, that's when Ven gets to treat it as a game for just the two of them.
Vanitas wouldn't even treat it as a game he'd either be like "you're learning self defence" or "hey Sora want to shoot a fireball out of your hand" and Sora would be there like, instantly. So excited to learn every possible thing and spend time with the two voices that have explained to him over and over (with varying degrees of patience) that they aren't in his head, they're in his Heart.
I could keep going this would rewrite the course of the canon as we know it, the moment Sora gets a Keyblade Vanitas and Ventus would be positively feral about it. But.
We'll save that for another day. <3

There's this one ongoing series that I've been following for a while which is essentially just the basis of this and just, hnrrgh. I love Ven and Vanitas getting very protective of the other Heart Hotels, angry for them, teaching them. There's something to be said about them being the ones who Came Before and had the universe dropped on their shoulders, and when that universe comes for the child who saved them they pull out a fucking gun.
Honestly there's an AU I have tucked away to potentially write one day that is actively about Ven and Vanitas just sitting there with their mouths open as they witness Sora's entire journey and when Ven wakes up, they just. Forge the X-blade. Immediately. Go scorched earth on everything. For Sora, and Roxas, and Xion.
Maybe one day.

Just realized. I have a bit of an aversion to hearing Dearly Beloved, and now I think I know why.
You know how you put a song as your alarm clock and then you associate it with that yucky feeling of waking up to it and it ruins the song for you?
Well, I realized that because Dearly Beloved elicits such strong, intense, often even sad or melancholic emotions from me, I've Pavlov's doged myself into avoiding it, since it's such a strong emotional trigger
True but Vanitas is also negative right?which from what I’ve remember is connected by entirely a separate thing from darkness ( i mean why unversed eyes are red not yellow like the heartless if he was pure darkness) so him having red eyes because he is also negativity, also makes sense but also he could have central heterochromia meaning he could have golden yet little red around his pupils or the other way round ( heck that what I was thinking sometime when mentally designing my Avatar but probably take years before I explain more on that because that changed completely) anyway I’m ramble pretty long enough about it, Vanitas having red eyes because is someway to connect himself with his unversed. I love Vanitas with red eyes as much as Ventus having green eyes.❤️❤️❤️❤️
*leans in close to the mic* Vanitas does not have Xehanort’s eyes. Exposure to darkness causes eyes to turn golden. Xehanort’s eyes were originally silver, as seen in dark road. As a being of pure darkness, Vanitas is the one character where his eyes were probably yellow from the beginning (excluding the LN of course).

So in this AU the idea of a Familiar is a supernatural being in a partnership with someone as in bounding their souls, not only do they share each other power but also their emotions and memories but that part isn’t controlled but yes also in a common definition of familiar in magic is a supernatural guiding and serving the person
My idea on this is kou come across this somewhere when reading some scrolls on exorcism and using it to save hanako in some extremely dire situation. soooo after that they tried to figure how this is going to work for now on. And also bunch of shenanigans in or even outside of school and the slow building of romance between the two.

To be honest I feel like vanitas real name will somehow be the opposite for what vanitas means because in the end him being killed by noe will not be his end but also gives him fulfillment and the noe true name will also be opposite of the meaning?
Or noe name has something to do with finality then vanitas name is origin?

Hi! I actually happen to have a theory on Vani’s true name in drafts! It’s not properly written yet, because I wasn’t sure whether to post it or not. Now about the connection of Vani’s real name and Noé’s true name. I agree that there must be some thematical link between them.
Unfortunately, I’m not sure about what Noé’s true name itself should be. From what I remember, so far three true names are known: Florifel ― She Who Guides Spring (Amelia), Canorus — She Who Plays Snow Crystals (Chloe), Aprix ― He Who Nestles Close to the Last Snows (JJ). All true names are Latin words (Florifel should be "Florifer" which is a Latin adjective meaning “flowery”, but FlorifeL just happened in English localization) that are somewhat relevant to the vampires’ character arcs and personalities. It’s a bit hard to choose a specific word from all the Latin adjectives… But I really like the idea that Noé’s true name could mean something like finality or grand change, especially since Vani’s real name in my theory is actually connected with the theme of origin and new beginnings!
Alternatively, Noé's true name could mean salvation (another recurring theme between these two). The name Noé already implies both "ends and beginnings" and "salvation" because of the story of the Arc of Noah.
Either way, both of them could have a set of names related to the concepts of Ends and Beginnings, but reversed. Noé and Vanitas are each others foils, they are written for each other – shared meaning of names would only reinforce it.
It would also add some inteteresting flawor to the theory (that I personally treat as a fact at this point) that Noé will become the next Vanitas/owner of at least one Book.
Overall, the connection between their true names is a solid idea. And I'll try to elaborate on that in the nearest future, when I post about Vani's name!
