Trying to get more painterly with paintings so painted Raphael bg3 (did I trace the base and stuff? Yes but this was to paint better not to draw faces better)
Sitting here at almost 11am and I suddenly had a thought.. ‘Ma Meilleure Ennemie’ from Arcane is low-key, high-key Raphael x Tav coded.
Am I the only one getting that vibe from it? I don’t entirely know if it’s just because of the sound and general tone of the song, but to me it feels like the lyrics with ‘you’re both the best and the worst that has ever happened to me’ (I’m paraphrasing, bare with me) remind me of Raphael and Tav’s relationship, at least as it is in a lot of fanfictions that I’ve read about them. Especially those that were leaning more towards an angsty sort of feel.
But even when we don’t consider the lyrics being kind of fitting, I do generally think that the overall melancholically beautiful sound of the song does fit Tav & Raph (gonna just call them that from now on, it’s fun).
Anyway, I don’t exactly know what to do with this thought yet, but I’m just throwing it out there for now.. do feel free to add to it if you want!
Yes...I suppose his cambion form is quite attractive, but I will never stop being painfully horny for his human form specifically.

bg3 romance woes
just got the scene with talking to Gale under the night sky in act 2 (beautiful scenery btw) and GOD. HOW in the HELLS am I supposed to romance anyone BUT him now??!
On the other hand, I want to romance Astarion and as much as I CAN NOT for the life of me find it easy to reject Gale, hurting Astarion in any way, shape or form would immediately reduce me to a pathetic puddle of tears.
WHY can I not romance both of them UGGHHH this is torture.
not to mention the fact that I have the hots for like EVERY romancable AND unromancable npc in this GODDAMN game.
like Lae’zel (she’s so endearing for some reason what the hell??), KARLACH oh my GOD (Shadowheart knows what’s up, I NEED her to carry me and OMG she calls herself Mama K I CAN’T), Wyll ugggghh (he’s underrated and I WON’T stand for it) Shadowheart (fuck, god’s favorite emo princess I love her so muchhhh). That motherfucker HALSIN (what a HUNK of an elf they had NO RIGHT making him so glorious) even Minthara who I finally got in Act 2 now.
and when it comes to the UNROMANCABLE people. Don't even get me STARTED. Raphael you god damn majestic asshole. Haarlep (I’d feed him, that’s all I’ll say about the matter), Alfira (the REAL reason why I’ll never do a Durge playthrough, I CAN NOT ever lay a finger on her). Larkrissa (I love her and Alfira plus them TOGETHER so fucking much), ROLAN (stupid prickly wizard), Dammon (he’s just SO everything, don’t make me explain, I’ll go on and on for hours)
this game is a bisexual NIGHTMARE and on one hand I LIVE for it, on the other, I’d like to sue

I spent the last two weeks crocheting a Raphael doll so here he is in his insufferable smugness. He's around 9 inches/24 cm tall.
I freehanded him but I'm considering writing down the pattern... If you're interested, keep your eyes peeled for that. It's not super technical, just very long.

(BG3 act 3 spoilers) Playing the game for the first time and the only thing less surprising about Raphael than him having a personal incubus enchanted to look exactly like himself is the fact that he has a musical theater number for his boss theme. I just sat there in delight for a full minute when the battle started he’s such a fun antagonist

I really liked twentyonepairs AU where Raphael became human and fell for a mortal woman. It’s just tickles my brain in the right spot.
I tried to emulate that OG Disney look,but it still feels kinda blocky.
Anyway,human Raphael would be a whiny musical pathetic man. Period.
