System origin of the day ; Comfortgenic
Comfortgenic is a system origin that specifically created for the purpose of comfort. This can be the comfort of the host, someone outside the system, or a headmate.
It is an adaptive / created origin.
Kinda nonhuman because mental illness, kinda nonhuman because not being properly socialized as a kid, kinda nonhuman because queer, kinda nonhuman because angry at humanity, kinda nonhuman because longing for the unconditional love of a pet and it’s master, and kinda nonhuman because secret sixth thing.

To therians and otherhearted with canine or feline therio/hearttypes, stop leaving us out. Stop forgetting about us. The alterhuman community is made of more than just you
A message to the younger members of the community, and those who doubt there place in it:
Beings don't care.
I went to a therian meet up over anthro northwest. And it was NOTHING like the current online spaces, especially all the discourse.
There was no fighting. It was beautiful. Beings were freely using whatever labels they wanted, no one cared "why" someone identified as something, mental, spiritual, physical. Everyone was like "Hey, cool!".
Older folks talked about their time in the community while the younger ones did quads. People howled, played with squeak toys. No one cared. And most importantly, everyone agreed the infighting was pointless.
You WILL be accepted irl. This discourse doesn't matter. You are going to find your beings, and none of these online pissing contests mean anything once you meet others off the screen.
It's a beautiful place out there.
I cna tell im a system because wjhenever i hit my head relaly hard on the wall i hear screaming and noise complaimnts from The people
.
yall... some friends of mine lowkey hate furries and therians. but they're so great in all other aspects.... covering my ears and eyes with my paws rn.
being plural means a headmate pulling you into headspace to cuddle with you and help you go to sleep because of your& insomnia
being plural means smiling and laughing at a joke one of your headmates made, or having witty banter with them as you make a meal that you'll both be able to enjoy
being plural means a headmate going "its okay, you don't have to do this, i can do it" and you thanking them because yeah, you cant do that, and thats okay
being plural means thinking about your headmates when buying new clothes, or seeing a shirt or pair of pants for sale and going "they'd love that !!"
being plural means making one of your headmate's simplyplural profile, and spending lots of time perfecting it so that it fits them to a T
being plural means knowing you aren't alone
being plural means knowing that your headmates, your friends, your family, are always there for you
being plural means love.
Its like, people can ask me "why do you like this flat, two-dimensional, obnoxious fictional character and read into them a complex and nuanced inner life, and not this other flat, two dimensional, obnoxious fictional character?"
But all I can respond is that one of them I know personally and understand as a fellow being with a rich inner life and many positive qualities, and the other is just a flat, two dimensional, obnoxious fictional character to me. 🤷
aromantic soulbonding culture is noticing that the soulbonding community is very interconnected with the selfship community and feeling weird about it
no shade to folk who are romantic with their soulbonds, the romance focus just makes us feel a bit alienated from the community

Alterhuman does not mean everyone who identifies as nonhuman on some level (oh and maybe otherhearted people too). Please for the love of all that is good and holy stop saying that. It means anyone whose identity falls outside of society’s idea of “normal human” - anyone with an identity alternative to humanity or that’s an alternative form of humanity. It includes nonhumanity, yes, but also otherheartedness, hearthomes, archetropy, plurality, daemonism, furry lifestylers, othervague folks, constelics, and so much more. Here’s the coiner’s words to prove it.
Fictionfolk does not mean anyone who identifies as a fictional character. It means anyone with an alterhuman connection to fiction of any kind. It includes fictionkin and fictives and such, yes, but also fictional hearthomes, fictionheartedness, soulbonders, fictional vaguetypes, fictional constelics, and much more. Here’s the coiner’s words to prove it.
To collapse these words down to basically be synonymous with otherkin and fictionkin is to utterly defeat their purpose. Please stop defining us out of our own communities. Please stop erasing the existence of everyone outside of “identifies as nonhuman and/or fictional”.
I felt a certain way about my identities and synpathy today. Mostly how they feel through my synesthesia, I tried putting it on a comprehensive artwork.
[This is how my identities feel, not how the labels themselves feel.]
