My first Durge!!

Dear people of Tumblr, it is my most sincere honor to present to you: my very first Dark Urge Character. His name is Li-Neer and he's a Lolthsworn Drow (I had to, his eyes are so pretty with the dark red). After some thinking I decided to make him a Monk because they’re my favorite class of all time (he’s still wearing Sorcerer robes because I started a run with him as a Storm Sorcerer but decided against it in the end).

Apart from that, he's going to be bullying I mean romancing Gale. Maybe I'll also add Astarion and Halsin to the bunch just for fun, that’s what the no romance limit mod is for, after all.

Just a head’s up: both the face and the hair are from mods that can be found in the ingame mod manger of Baldur’s Gate 3.

Kleine Addition dazu: ich find‘s auch interessant wie Pia in beiden Fällen irgendwie involviert ist und versucht für sowohl Adam (immer mal wieder dieses ‘geht’s dir gut‘ und ‘willst du drüber reden?) als auch Carla (mit z.B. ‘du musst das hier nicht machen‘ und ‘es geht auch anders’) da zu sein.. es jedoch bei Adam um einiges besser zu funktionieren scheint, weil dieser seinen Vater, im Gegensatz zu Carla mit ihren Eltern, nie so idolisiert hat.

My thoughts on the whole JK Rowling thing

So, personally I have always been a fan of the Harry Potter Books and Movies because they were very hyped when I was a child. I spent a lot of time reading the books and daydreaming myself into the HP world. Sadly enough, JK Rowling has made it harder for me to enjoy her media, because of her internalized misogyny and transphobia, that keeps popping up in her works. For example: Ginny, Molly Weasley and Hermione being mean to Fleur for no reason (Misogyny) and the description of Rita Skeeter hinting at her being trans (Transphobia obviously). I am still kind of a fan of the Harry Potter Universe but I do not agree with any of the disgusting and transphobic tweets she keeps writing. In my opinion, it’s very sad that she had to ruin her story with her stupid opinions and it’s also sad, that in order to make her shut up, we would need to make her (and in turn also her franchise) irrelevant. I might or might not watch the new Harry Potter series, but if I do I will do so illegally. One thing everybody can do is to not buy any Harry Potter merch and to not stream the movies on streaming services that earn money through that. Because these things end up earning money for JK Rowling. I just hope that people stop listening / paying attention to her bullshit and that trans people know they’re great the way they are.

Erst einmal Adam, der schon direkt am Anfang sofort checkt was hier gerade abgeht.

Und dann Leo, der richtig nervös die ganze Zeit versucht irgendwie sein Cover aufrechtzuerhalten und dann übelst von Adam aus dem Konzept gebracht wird weil der ihn sehr offensiv anflirtet.

Also so richtig flustered Leo und flirty Adam der sich n Spaß draus macht, den obviously Undercover-Cop so richtig schön rot zu kriegen. Was kann er denn auch dafür wenn die blöde Polizei unbedingt den hübschesten Cop ever zu ihm schickt, der außerdem noch richtig schlecht im schauspielern ist? Ist doch offensichtlich gefundenes Fressen für ihn.

Leos schlechte Schauspielfähigkeiten inspirieren mich:

Adam als Krimineller, Leo als Undercover Cop. Nur Leo kann genauso schlecht schauspielern wie in Fluch des Geldes und Adam merkt sofort, dass er undercover ist. Er lässt sich aber nichts anmerken weil ers lustig findet und Leo auch irgendwie heiß ist und mit einem aufgeflogenen Undercover Cop flirtet es sich schlecht.

The thing that Baldur's Gate got right is that each companion is both extremely cool, tempered with an appropriate dose of cringe.

Gale is a powerful wizard. He uses the phrase 'pish posh' unironically.

Lae'zel is a badass. She asks you to fight her and then gets emotional because you're fighting even though that was her idea.

Karlach. Badass. But we've all seen her idle dance moves.

Wyll is this swashbuckling vigilante and he has a pose he does whenever he says his own superhero name.

Shadowheart. Dark backstory, still striving so hard for the light. Makes a joke about poisonous flowers that falls incredibly flat.

Astarion. Capable rogue and a dangerous vampire. He practises his one-liners ahead of time. Within earshot of the people he wants to use them on.

I love and hate civil war both with a passion.

I mean it's so important to stony within the MCU, without it we'd never have the 'here is my heart' metaphor, when Tony gives it to Steve, we'd never have longing gazes in Endgame, the pain between them, overshadowed by the yearning that you can just feel, the 'you trust me? I do', so I love it, I do. I love the divorce for them, somehow it makes sense that those two would break apart, because that's just who they are. They love each other, but the world comes first, and they love each other but it's complicated, and in the end they will love each other.

I still hate Civil War, too though, because it is also so important to their core relationship. And it broke my heart. I feel like, while in this timeline it wasn't, it could have been prevented.

But it doesn't matter, because they love each other anyway, in whatever way all their shared, complicated history allows them to. As much as they allow each other to, respectively.
