This was actually my first test run with Spine; something looking to become a slight obsession. Unfortunately, our current game code isn't set up to handle Spine or Spine->Starling->Flash so I might end up revamping this guy a lot just so it works with old code. That or I'll just animate a slab and call it a boss. (Spoiler: I already did. Go slice a slab, players!). Oh yeah, also, it fits with Halloween, kinda. Why it took me so long to get into Spine, I don't know. But now that I have, I've been digging into whatever art I've done to, quite literally, breath some new life into them. For those who don't know, Spine is a really neat program that makes it relatively easy to animate 2D art and even deform them to mimic 3D. Great for game dev or just fancy gifs if you like. This particular piece was from 5 years ago, and looking up the old employer I discovered that they actually released the game August of this year! Too bad I don't have an apple device. 4th assignment for the zBrush class. Kudos to the oldies out there who know which 80s arcade game inspired this! Still lots of work/improvements to be done, but I had lots of fun making this one. I'm really loving zBrush... and there's still so much to learn. \( ° A °)/ For the next assignment, I think I'll just add more characters to the narrative, and slowly build on the story. Spoiler: Used to play this game called TwinBee in the arcades back in the late 80s, (6th grade?) and I remember always doodling them in class (specifically Ms. Javarta's science class). It was a really cool and simple game but with lots of personality. I liked that when your ship got damaged, he would lose his limbs. You'd then have to wait for a repair bot to give you new ones. Really great attention to detail and nuances that defined the better games back then. #twinbee #konami #zbrush
This old fart is back in school and for my first assignment I went ahead and sculpted my grandma in 3D. Kinda happy with it. Now I can import her head in some crazy cybernetic body for a videogame. Bwehehe. #cda #schoolisfun #zbrush

I wonder if anyone saw me, kneeling in this steady rain, with my flashlight, fork, and a cup, collecting earthworms from my neighbor's side of the street, just past midnight. Why were there so many there, and not on ours? Doesn't matter. The chosen ones will live a happy life in my little garden now. Rejoice! Fornicate and multiply amidst compost!
Got into playing Final Fantasy XIV lately, and the guildmates love talking about butts, so I decided to sketch one up... which led to a shinier version. Then I thought I might as well try to learn a new animation program, and so we got the jigglebutt.

I've been gone for some time, so I thought I'd post some of the mythological card concepts I had made for a client. Nice break from the usual game art I do, though I would've liked more tentacles on 'em. >_>
I noticed my nephew liked to pretend he was excavating fossils (crayons and coins) from my play-sand so I baked some clay bones for him to discover hee hee. It was surprisingly fun to do but I apologize to paleontologists everywhere for the... freedoms I took hehe. Also, I may or may not bury a unicorn fossil in our backyard. >_>
Edit: Uh-oh. I think he liked it too much. He actually thinks that, somehow, a real fossil made it into my room. hehe.

This one has a thick border around it but you can choose one from the store that doesn't. For example, if you wanted it on a white shirt. You can also fiddle around with some options such as shirt color and types as well. Zazzle is pretty cool like that.
