Eladrin with an affliction in their Summer and Winter season. A D&D commission piece. The commissioner, Tarlyn, weaves such interesting characters.
A colorful feathered raptor sniffing about.
Done for a commission.
Stuck in 2D
A work in progress.
"taketi taketi taki taketi taketi taketi tak" is what I hear.
So behind on the dino sketches but I've been off and on with this one. Taking a break before I do a clean or color pass.
08 - Just a foot.
Skeleton based on an emu, but I just gave it different type of scales.
Did you know that scientists have forced a chicken to grow feathers instead of scales on its feet by altering one gene?
We're just a bunch of scripts, switches, and sliders.
Here's a quickie: A Raptor from Utah
07 for Dinos Dragons & Droids.
Sky Wyrm meets a Shadowscale in a foreign sky.
All of a sudden the air is unfamiliar. The currents do not reveal to her their name. And what is this tiny legged creature that dare fly beside me?
Day 6 - Dinos Dragons & Droids
This was actually an old one that kicked off the theme, but never got to "finish" it until now. Mainly was trying to play with painting light again.
So behind on the dino sketches but I got into painting these two.
Was needing dino feet practice - ended up with boba carnage.
Probably not the most accurate depictions. Much thanks to The Isle (game) for great references.🦕 And @kartavacante for showing me her feet.
Dinos Dragons Droids - Day 3
I like this one a lot. I may actually finish it, animate it, or - dare I? - get back in Blender to 3D it. :O
All that fluff though.
Dinos dragons and Droids - second one.
Tiny Flappy I call it. It flaps the membranes on its head to attract certain insects or birds that prey on butterflies. I did want to animate it some more - especially the tail - but I am trying not to spend so much time on these (so I can draw more)
Pushing myself to draw more dragons (or drawing in general), so I'm gonna try to do a daily dose of dragons, dinos or droids this month. (I'm a bit behind already, I know)
Here is a tiny one with a caterpillar tail.
Fall vibes. Probably ate a bunch of pumpkins. Shadowscale meets a chubby dino. A bit of a break from Starfield to see if I can still draw other things.
Here's a timelapse:
Here's young Sarah Morgan fixing up her ship. Assistant droid with newly installed ramen and boba milk tea maker is happy to assist.
More Starfield inspired drawings. I was trying to capture a young Sarah, back in her Academy days perhaps.
A utility type suit. Low atmospheric. Suited for down to .23 gravity. Gave it a control stick for maneuvering. How does starfield control suit propulsion? Synaptic implants? Maybe a really good glove design would have it integrated.
A light suit - maybe an undersuit. Been playing Starfield. ^_^;
Drew some dragon skins for a mock hereditary chart for this game called Day of Dragons. Something I wish they'd do, since their breeding system is pretty basic at the moment. Still a fun game though, especially if you love flying. The feel of flying and animations are great! Check em out! Dragon is based on the game's Shadowscale (which is probably inspired by Toothless.)
Doing some Orcy sketches. Everytime I drew what I thought was an angry, battle-ready orc, it looked like it was just doing karaoke. So... now we have Kara-Orc-E!
It was to be a practice piece, for shiny scales, but it turned out nicer than I thought. Tis a melancholy dragon on a melancholy rock. There is a fish.
Another dargon. He likes to stick his club-tail in nests to flush out smaller dragons. Tried to be more "painterly" with it, but I do miss my lines. I just like lines I guess.
I don't usually reblog but, but I agree - it'd be nice to have more time to do the things that really thrill us.
The timelapse for some manga doodlin. It's an area I need a lot of practice on. I guess I have no choice but to spend hours upon hours reading manga. Woe! ;] Excited to make some more.
It was a character request of a gentle giant for D&D. I added cats.
Accidentally made a book cover while practicing dragon drawings. Inspired by the golden dragons in the game, Day of Dragons (available in Steam!) and just dragons in general of course.
Watching our chickens scritch-scratch inspired me to animate a raptor. But since I like to suffer, it ended up being a bit longer.
I forgot how time-consuming animating can be, and this is far from done, really. Still, it was nice to be animating traditionally again. Another bout of inspiration (insanity) and I may apply skin pattern and feathers someday.ðŸ˜
Made a little diabolical Miqo’te. It wasn’t for Halloween, but I guess it is now! Happy Spoopy day (night)!
