As far as I can see you've found my refs helpful. Here's one more)
PS: Hope someone will notice this post too, not only previous, hah.
for @breadygarden, you can complement it with this other one I made long ago and SPECIALLY WITH REAL LIFE PICTURES! Mostly this is to point out the things you gotta pay attention. Always always check the head-torso radio. You can mix it up with more body fat too!
Les’ get organic, cuz bones should be insects.
Also , hip dips <3
how do you bodies/torsos so well? i love them!
first off - thank you so much! i don’t believe i’ve ever had anyone ask me about the way i draw certain things, but i’ll certainly try my best to explain the way i do it…
you won’t hear anything from me that you haven’t heard from any other artist already if i were to give you tips for drawing realistic human bodies!
i believe most of the charm comes from the angularity of my style, so every time i have to draw a body i basically break it down into simple geometric shapes. i dont like the whole ‘draw a line, draw a circle, draw an oval’ business so i just go ham with triangles and squares
you can of course polish the sharp angles and make them smoother after you’re done sketching - that’s up to you
you could also combine straight lines, rough shapes with curvy lines and smooth shapes
if you’re using references you’ll actually notice how common the triangular/rhomboid patterns are on a body
lack of realism when using simple geometry also allows for flexibility and creativity (HUGE shoulders, torsos wider than 3 human heads lined up, etc. im my own cop and i say go ape shit with this stuff)
hopefully this is clear enough to answer your question!
i wanted to practice portraits from photos ;_; but i ended up colorpicking a lot

You should make more of these tutorials! They are very helpful :3
Well… I once made a torso tutorial.
do you have a reference/tutorial for the way you draw teeth??
I kinda just freehand it myself since i got it memorized but i made one for ya- i hope it’s alright;;v;!!
francis how would you do a vampires teeth so that theyre like. more unsettling in ur opinion
i think honestly a good place to start would be just looking at blood sucking animals in nature, because in most cases their mouths would look pretty unsettling when applied to human anatomy
vampire bats are an obvious starting point but they dont look too uncanny for the most part until you take some liberties w/ it
if youre thinking more along the lines of “nah id prefer to enact psychological warfare against anyone who calls vampires sexy” a lamprey is a GREAT starting point
or a tick
these are just ideas for starting points of course, theres no Rule That Vampire Must Resemble Animal but i think looking to nature is really helpful with creature design and combining animal traits onto human shapes is a great way to make a really fucked up scary looking creature.
but really all a vampire needs to do is to be able to access blood (either by opening a wound and lapping it up as the victim bleeds or getting its mouth into the body and sucking) so like you have a TON of options so you can kind of just go wild with it.

Although I dont have anything to submit, (and the submit seems closed anyway.) Do you have any tips on how to draw suits? Ive used references, but I still dont feel like I have the hang of it.
This was from a while back but I’ve gathered some suit references to help! aaa.
Drawing suits is different than “regular” clothes, I guess, because there’s a specific way for them to look. Very sharp and angular! So when I block in creases, I tend to use triangular or boxy shapes instead of soft curves, to give it a crisper look!
I also don’t use TOO many creases because that can muddy up the simplified style I tend to work in. For more realistic styles, or detail-oriented styles, definitely look towards something like this:

(hakubi8888 on Twitter has fantastic suit reference)
(Same person. This is their blog; only japanese but you can glean most of it from auto-translation)
An exercise you might consider doing is taking a pillow you’ve got and twisting or punching it a few times, then drawing the outcomes. The pillowcase has a sheen to it that looks like suit fabric. Although it might be a bit thinner than a suit fabric, you still get that cloth fold you can practice from!

If you post it on Instagram you HAVE TO TAG ME and or put my name in the bio of the post. If you don’t I will report you and send my fucking goons to get that shit taken down, be respectful.
Enjoy! If this goes over well I’ll post some more like legs, arms, hands and feet ref sheet, perspective ect.
