Shout out to all the Black ppl that can no longer participate directly in the fandom they love because of the stresses of racism 👍🏾 you contain multitudes of value and I'm sorry that the color of your skin and the power of your voice makes people not want to acknowledge that.
if you fuckers do the skeleton war shit again this year we’re deleting the website for real
I've always drifted towards clever characters, but my childhood self was fascinated with how Sandokan from the titular novel overcame every challenge with a mix of inhuman physical strength, iron-like willpower, and raw magnetism. The scene where someone attempts to flog him and he responds by lifting them up effortlessly and stating that he has in his veins royal blood and will not tolerate being insulted rewrote my brain chemistry.
Im finally reading the court of miracles, I’ve finished the court of shadows 2 years ago and I just have a thought in mind.
I want to have Rafael and Suraj angst so bad
Like, I’m still at the beginning of the book, but I want to see them finally sorting things out, I want to see Rafael having his moment of glory
I want that I need that
I want to see Jeanne and raf being besties AAAAAA
Also totally unrelated but I’m learning French because le cour des ouragans hasn’t been translated In English 🥲
Reading La Cour des Miracels and god... I should love this book.
It has vampires, old aesthetic... a fucking piece of shit protagonist.
But all it managed is making me wanting to write my own version of a vampire court, which I will manage to add into Birds of a Rose.
And I want to make an OC and let him fuck up Versailles.
Write out of spite.
Going through the Court of Shadows tag trying to find posts for La Cour des Ténèbres instead of The Cruel Prince like
Here's something funny that I can't believe I've never shared before.
So I was scrolling through the Hector of Troy tag and I stumbled upon a post referring to him as the "son of Troy".
Now, in it of itself that's all fine and dandy, but it reminded me of something.
In Italian, the city of Troy is referred to as Troia.
The word Troia just so happens to be a mixture of the words bitch and slut.
So yeah, you just end up with these marvelous expressions:
"Hector, son of Troy" becomes "Ettore, figlio di Troia" = "Hector, son of a Bitch"
"Trojan War" becomes "Guerra di Troia" = "Slut War"
"Paris, prince of the city of Troy" becomes "Paride, principe della città di Troia" = "Paris, prince of the city of the Slut"
And I could go on.
Man, do I love my language.

Snapshots of the folk dance 鹿鸣宴 (Lu Ming Banquet). The name refers to a specific type of banquet in ancient times that would take place the day after results of the imperial examination were published. It was to celebrate the scholars who had passed. The dance is about one such banquet.
You can watch the full dance on Youtube.
I have this Heartstopper fanfic idea that's a crossover between the "big 3" of gay media: Heartstopper, Red, White & Royal Blue, and Young Royals.
But I dunno if I should write it.

TLDR~ A company offered me a job *IF* I cancel "Fins & Crinolines" and don't produce anything for it while I'm working for them. I need an income desperately rn. So either my Patreon gets enough funding to become my income in the next few days, or I have to cancel F&C and take the job...
This has been one of the most difficult decisions of my life. Please share this post with any F&C fans you know, boost it, donate to my Patreon if you can. Anything to get the word around.
Please help! I literally only have a few days to make a life changing decision ;;;A;;;
Where are my fellow Gothic Fiction fans? Surely some of you ended up in here somewhere. Come out I need you.
I want to draw them more, please feel free to suggest scenarios. I feel like they need to interact. Let the fanfiction begin!
I even made a reference sheet for them and everything. I just need to practise some more. Let’s just pretend they’re my OCs.
Edit: there are now more doodles. Find them under the #Sariel's Victorian disaster men tag

Funny how in spn and good omens, Metatron is always a piece of shit
Just saying
Yes! Exactly what I was thinking about Rn so I’m gonna share my opinion as well about it in a longer post. Glad to see I’m not the only one who thought about this spinoff <3
(Un)friendly reminder that if PJO and spn existed within the same universe, Sam and Dean would want to hunt Percy solely because of the Mount Saint Helens eruption, and probably the rest of the demigods too just because they’re not human.
People are wondering if the piano player seen in the trailer is a skin of P with long hair. I want to point out that the piano player's physique looks a bit fuller than P, moreso like a fully grown adult (more on that later). And when you use the star fragment to summon a "spectre" in the demo, this long haired figure appears. So I do think it may be Gepetto's son.
Also, this semi-hidden dialogue when P does a gesture in front of Lady Antonia: "It suits you. For a moment there, you looked just like... Forgive me. I'm rambling."
There's also some dialogue I may have imagined where Lady Antonia or someone else also says something like, "Gepetto hasn't been the same since..." Since what? But I'm scrubbing through playthroughs and I can't find it again. Please let us know if you've experienced that line!
Okay so I did some digging, nothing too extreme, but I looked up the original true story of Pinocchio and found some art that came with the story written in the late 1800s.
Pinocchio started as a talking piece of wood, and then was given to Mr. Geppeto. Geppeto dressed him up and told him if he wants to be apart of this world he has to go to school. Pinocchio was very disobedient and because of this, some absolutely terrible things happened to him. So basically the “naughtiness” was practically beaten out of him and he became reserved. This is canon, I want to confirm. The blue fairy kisses him and he becomes a real boy.
Do you see the resemblance???
Lemme ask again-
This is very important information because this mean that Pinocchio “P” is already human. Mostly.
This is not a “spin off” of Pinocchio, this is a continuation of Pinocchio. And I think this is just amazing.
I thought was a little weird that P had so much skin, and when this skin stretched or folded, it was like real skin, nothing silicone or artificial (silicone doesn’t exist yet in the late 1800s I don’t think) (don’t quote me on that). I heard some people say his face is porcelain, but that also wouldn’t make sense because he wouldn’t be able to turn his head.
If he was made of porcelain, then there would at least be a joint or a separation or porcelain plates on his neck and his fingers, but there isn’t.
So he’s human , to sum it up. It’s 2023, game development and 3D modeling is so advanced, that everything in his design is done on purpose.
There’s still some unanswered questions, though. Why does he have a mechanical arm, why does he wake up in an abandoned train station and doesn’t know who Mr. Geppeto, his father, is? Why does he look much older??
Classic case of amnesia.
Here’s where the plot thickens. And I’m about to jump to a whole lot of conclusions, so bare with me.
So maybe some time has passed and now P is somewhere in his teens, and Geppeto snapped, knocked out P, cut off his arm to make him into a weapon, to sell him maybe. Geppeto is canonically dirt poor, so maybe greed got to him.
That’s my favorite theory. It’s actually my only theory.
The blue fairy, or Sophia, is there to help him gain his memories, hopefully.
Then the talking thing in the lantern that P carries is the cricket. His conscience.
So the reason P finds himself in an abandoned train station is so Geppeto can test out P’s newly weaponized arm, by throwing him into life and death situations.
Now the obvious question.
Why does the official Lies of P website say that he’s on a journey to become human?
They’re lying. Duh.
Thank you everyone for coming to my TED talk.
A twisted wonderland au (perhaps even twisted wonderland x ever after high?) where the dorm leaders (and Jamil) are the sons of the original villains.
I will not be quiet about this concept :)
I have an opinion that may not be very popular because I've hardly ever heard anyone say about it...
I study a lot about mythology, I'm a big fan of Percy Jackson... But, there's something about me that I just can't keep quiet.
Let's separate the generations of Greek Mythology... From the Primordial Generation to the last. In my mind, demigods of the Gods of Olympus can never mix with the children of the primordials. Reason? Simple. The difference in power between them is worrying. Be calm dear reader, I will explain...
For those who don't know, Zeus is extremely terrified of Nyx, the Primordial Goddess of the night, not only because she is VERY old, but for the simple reason that she knows the secret behind the immortality of the Gods... So, if she wants to take away Zeus' "comfort" (immortality), he totally loses his throne.
Not to mention the other Gods who are children of Nix... Moros, Hypnos, Thanatos, Eris etc... And speaking of Nix's children... I get a little disappointed when someone refers to Hypnos as a "Lesser God" or "Weaker God", whereas if we think about it logically... Hypnos is frighteningly powerful. There are COUNTLESS Gods that many don't give importance...
So, my idea is simple: Show how good the children of these Gods so poorly portrayed can be...
In the story I'm creating of Percy Jackson, since Zeus is a bit insecure about the Prime Gods, out of sheer fear of losing his immortality, he proclaims the total extinction of the Primordial Demigods. After all, if the Olympian Demigods are already powerful enough to deal with a God... Imagine a primordial demigod?
In this story, there will only be unique children of Primordial Gods, just as there will be demigods from that same generation. I know the popular version says that Eros is the son of Aphrodite and Ares... But I prefer the version where Eros is considered a Primordial God. Same thing for Hekate, I will follow the version where she is portrayed as Nyx's daughter.
At Camp Half Blood there will be a son of Hekate responsible for finding out if there is any Primordial Demigod there, so, when he finds them, he takes the person to another hidden Camp.... The Camp of Chaos.
A camp where the leader is Nyx's son, along with the deputy leader, his considerate sister. Daughter of Erebos.
What do you think reader? Leave your opinion.

A collection of head canons about each Witcher school.
Specialization: Curses
Wolf Witchers specialize in the breaking of curses. By the time of their descent from Kaer Morhen, all Wolf Witchers know cures for common curses such as lycanthropy. They are also well versed in discovering curses, their origins, and their possible cures. Many Wolf Witchers die at the hands of Cursed Ones during their first year on the Path as they try to cure instead of kill. Typically, those that return to the Path for a second time have discovered how to tell when Cursed Ones are lost causes.
Specific/Distinct Mutations: N/A - The School of the Wolf still uses the same mutagens first used by the Order of Witchers before it split into the separate schools.
Combat Tactics/Fighting Styles: All Witchers will develop their own fighting style with time, but most wolves have a tactic in common: exhaustion. Similar to their animal counterparts, which are endurance hunters and will follow their prey for miles, Wolf Witchers often rely on tiring their opponent out through the strategic use of oils, dodges, and Signs.
Trial of the Medallion: Any Witcher to emerge from Kaer Morhen goes through the grueling Trial of the Mountain during which they ascend Troll’s Head Mountain without being killed by Old Speartip, the cyclops in the caverns, or by the trolls beyond the caverns. Then, the trainee would place their Withcher’s medallion in the Circle of Elements to activate it. (Canon)
Headquarters: Kaer Morhen in Kaedwan near the Gwenllech River.
Fun Facts:
Geralt and the others that died during the second round of mutations were the first attempts at a specially mutated Wolf Witcher. Vesemir was afraid Geralt would end up with the Madness common in Cat Witchers as a result, but it never materialized.
Wolf Witchers are considered by most to be the most traditional of the Witcher schools and many of their teachings date back to the Order of Witchers.
Wolf Witchers have a relatively good reputation with humans, as far as Witcher-human relationship goes because Wolf Witchers are reliable and fair with their prices.

I Will (aha aha yeah I know I’m not funny-)write a fanfic about this bc gODS-
i firmly believe that will is one of the greatest healers of all time - to the point that like asclepius, he too could have the power of resurrection if he pushed himself hard enough (or was desperate enough)
which leads to some interesting questions. how would zeus react to another of apollo’s sons being able to do this? would he kill will too? or maybe they try hide will’s ability from zeus? is that even possible?
how would hades react to will bringing someone from his realm back to life?
how would hades react if that person was nico?
I’VE SAID THIS COUNTLESS TIMES AND I’LL SAY IT AGAIN:
- NICO IS SO DEPRESSED AND IRON DEFICIENT THAT HE COULD LITERALLY SLEEP FOR DAYS ON END AND STILL WAKE UP TIRED
- WILL PUMPS HIMSELF FULL OF CAFFEINE AND GOES DAYS WITHOUT SLEEPING BECAUSE HIS SAVIOR COMPLEX CAUSES HIM TO FEEL GUILTY WHENEVER HE LEAVES THE INFIRMARY FOR MORE THAN A COUPLE HOURS
- NICO GETS WILL TO SLEEP AND WILL GETS NICO TO WAKE UP AND GO OUTSIDE
thank you for coming to my tedtalk :)
