CW: mentions of running away

the random urge to run into the woods bc we think we can survive and it’s better than here is always a fun one.

you know that feeling when you leave your Spotify playlist alone for a few weeks and suddenly you hate every song on there

real question . is it wrong to be overly dependent on headmates ? i mean i know that’s. kind of the whole thing about did that it’s formed to survive when there’s nothing else that can help you and stuff but . ?? i feel like a lot more . dependent ?? ig ? we’ve never really had close relationships in Sys and so idk it kind of feels odd

ill answer this one for our collective ...... our stress, exhaustion, and pain has decreased drastically due to our system. we're all here for each other, both on our good, and our bad days. we're here to listen to each other when no one outside will, and we are here to spread positivity and love throughout our system and take the brunt of the blow for each other so we can keep on going. we do playfully banter a TON, but in all seriousness, we genuinely all keep each other alive.

Tell us something positive about your system/alters/headmates/plurality:

We'll go first. If it wasn't for our system and the ability to relieve each other from fronting there's no fucking way we'd be half as functional as we currently are with the excruciating level of pain we're in. So god damn thankful I don't have to do this bullshit alone.

Friendly reminder that declaring your blog a "safe space for systems of all origins" makes your blog explicitly safe for trauma survivors, "weird labels" and indigenous people. Allow sheep and lambs, and you'll only end up with a fluffier flock than before.

curses! you think you are a system but you also have always have a really fucking strong imagination from day 1! time for FOREVER QUESTIONING AND DOUBTING IF ANYTHING IS REAL

shoutout to the headmate who does things that their headmates can’t do anymore in their place because it’s too difficult or triggering for them. love you all out there. you do a lot of work for your system. <3

Can we get a very polite “fuck you” to people who intentionally trigger others? Especially ones that cause a split. /slightly targeted

being susceptible to splitting and anxiety is the worst fucking combo ever ... like what the fuck are these guys here for when that shit didn't even happen yet

tw: mentions of flashbacks and panic attacks

the flashback and panic attack combo right after is like stubbing your toe on a lego brick and then immediately tripping and face planting into a pool full of legos.

SERIOUS TALK . CENSORSHIP

the amount of censorship and ignorance regarding anything that isn't remotely 'normal' or seems 'realistic' to the average eye is absolutely disgusting and genuinely ableist. see someone who's visibly disabled? oh, no, you can never go up to them! come on! avoid them! they're too different from you. you would never be able to understand them. they would never be able to understand you. have a friend who has a stigmatized mental health condition? oh! they must be faking! nobody *actually* has that! it's too rare! we should stop being friends with them! they must be a monster! have someone tell you that you have an invisible disability? that doesn't exist! if i cant see it, then you don't have it! i know your body better than you do! prove you have your disability, then! and the funny thing is, these types of things are completely censored- viewed as 'wrong' or 'not something to be talked about'. when really, it's just an excuse to not talk about, spread awareness, or allow those who are troubled by these conditions to speak up. TALK ABOUT YOUR ILLNESS. TALK ABOUT YOUR DISABILITY. TALK ABOUT YOUR 'ABNORMALCY'. show the world that **you aren't weird or crazy or monstrous for not fitting the norm.**

my fandom is actually composed of quite a few plural collectives- and many of the fandoms we're in (besides a select few) have creators who are outwardly plural friendly and have supports for plural collectives (eg. pluralkit). so, id say in my experience personally in the few inbetweens ive interacted with my own fandom, its mostly been fine, besides the few outliers here and there, along with some strange ships id rather not think about again... - sun ☀

hello. systems. plurals. especially introtives/introjects/what have you. etc. i have a question! a few actually. what would you say your general experience(s) with fandom has been like? has it been well? did you feel respected in fandom spaces? id assume itd vary between them so if youve seen any patterns id like to know them as well. weird as hell post ik ik but work with me here

you know the switching is crazy when you go from paranoid about dying and being extremely depressed and unable to get out of your bed to being extremely restless and motivated and just. hungry.

i remember all the times we were forced to go on long walks or standing for long prolonged periods and whenever we told and literally BEGGED someone that we felt faint and our chest and neck was hurting and we needed to sit down because we thought we were going to collapse, that we were told that it was just because ‘we were weak’ or ‘we needed more exercise’, and so, us, 8 year old child, just learned to deal with it. turns out we had POTS.

People often tell me that they feel they're disrespectful when they ask questions about systems and I'm like

ITS BETTER TO ASK A QUESTION THAN BE IGNORANT FOREVER IF IM UNCOMFORTABLE WITH SOMETHING I'MMA JUST TELL YOU

when you're sleep-deprived, woke up with a nose-bleed, dehydrated, overstimulated, water isnt watering, temperature regulation isnt temperature regulating, your body aches, you have therapy today, two projects are due that you haven't even started, and you have an orthodontic appointment.

(dont have adhd but) painfully relatable.....

ADHD at night: I could write a book. I could get my Master’s Degree. I could go to the club and come home with 12 new friends. I could get a job at that club and meet the mother of my children. I could cure every disease and use my wealth to bring world peace.

ADHD during the day: Fold laundry too hard :( Come back next week

there’s a difference between being polite and infantilizing. no, talking to an autistic person like they’re a child is not polite. it’s rude. you aren’t helping anyone by talking to people like they’re stupid.

this is a problem with disabled people in general, not just autism. i just saw a video where someone was talking to a disabled army vet like he was a child. that was a grown man. he made it clear he could understand “grown-up” conversation and words.

it’s one thing to treat a child like a child, it’s another to treat any disabled person like a child. we aren’t children. we are just like anyone else.

this is ableism, know it or not.
