Never let old shows die!!1!!!111!!
It is your responsibility as an upperclassman to make obscure references to past shows that freshmen will never understand! No matter what the situation is, it’s never an inappropriate time to sing the opener to your show from freshman year! In fact, it’s better to sing a part that you didn’t play! Color guard, now is your time to shine!
Elmax Magic!au in white!
I think the best thing about this blog is that sometimes I’m sarcastic, sometimes I’m passive aggressive, and sometimes I have posts like this and neither of us know which one it’s gonna be
*Reddie at an aquarium*
Richie: That’s a shark, baby, I’ve seen JAWS at least 6 times, that’s a shark
Eddie: Oh not so fast-
Richie: Huh?
Eddie: Don’t jump to conclusions-
Richie: Oh I’m jumpin, I’ve jumped. I’ve landed. Shark. It’s a shark
Eddie: Just keep in mind, things don’t always seem how they appear-
Richie: HUH?
Eddie: *falls over in laughter*
me: lumax is a wonderful pairing. both are mature, intelligent, practical, communicative, and self-aware. also it’s a good and healthy representation of interracial couples. jane and max should definitely be friends because the jealous girl trope is tired and belittling. however, jane isn’t really ready for any romantic relationship, especially one that would change her understandings of romance and sexuality when she’s so new in society and only just grasping these concepts to begin with.

Something short and sweet for you guys!
word count: 444
prompt: Jane coming out and Max realizing she likes her. requested by anon
warnings: none
Max had no idea why Jane had called the entire party to an impromptu meeting in Mike’s basement. Usually, whenever something like that happened someone had died or something along those lines. But she sat down on a couch, fiddling with a loose thread on her sweater when Jane stood up to speak.
“Guys, I have something to tell you,” She started.
“Duh. Why else would we be here?” Lucas remarked. Max punched him playfully in the shoulder, knowing the boy was joking.
“I, uh, talked to Hopper- no, Jim- wait he wants me to call him dad. Dad. I talked to dad last night and talked about some… feelings.” Jane continued, ignoring Lucas’s comment.
“El, do you want to, maybe, I don’t know, elaborate? ‘Feelings’ is pretty vague,” Mike requested.
“I’m getting there, Mike,” she huffed. “I’m gay. Announcement over.” She immediately sat down next to Dustin, who was sitting on the left side of the couch, opposite of Max and Lucas.
The entire party was speechless. Will was the first one to break the silence. “welcome to the club, Jane,” he said warmly from his position on Mike’s lap.
After that comment, the initial shock that everyone was experiencing blew over. They all talked, bonding over how stupid high school was. The only person not talking was Max.
She moved to sit with her head in Lucas’s lap, staring at the ceiling. “Holy fuck she’s not the only gay person,” Max realized.
“Yeah. Have you seen Mike and Will?” Lucas deadpanned.
“That’s not what I meant. I don’t think I’m straight either. Holy fuck, Lucas, I think I like Jane.” The last part of the sentence was mumbled, causing Lucas to ask Max to repeat herself.
“I said, I think I like Jane. I’m gay,” Max said, slower.
Lucas nodded, patting Max’s head. “Max, it was obvious. You should go talk to her,” he suggested.
“What? No!” Came the shrieked response from Max, causing everyone to turn around from what they were doing and stare at Max. “I’ll go talk to Jane now,” she mumbled in defeat.
She sat upright on the couch and got up, walking over to the taller girl who was organizing a shelf. “You wanna… talk outside?” Max asked.
“Not really. I heard what you said about me,” replied Jane
“Oh? Well, what do you think about that?” Questioned Max, starting to feel hurt.
“I don’t want a relationship, Max. I like you, a lot, but I need to think longer. Okay?”
“Okay.”
Jane hugged Max tightly, smiling into her neck. “I’m glad you understand. Just give it a few months,” she said.
Max was content with that.
Junior, Guard
During a parade we got backed up for a few minutes so we were standing still for a while, and there was this kid standing right next to me and trying to catcall me while I was spinning my flag. I got fed up almost immediately, so I started sticking my flag out a little farther and knocked his hat off his head, and he and his jerk friends backed off real quick. I guess that’s an advantage of having a 6 foot metal pole in your hands almost all the time.
