Bruised and scraped from the battle at Stillwater and now drenched in blood while carrying a rifle was not how any of them had ever seen the Princess of Piltover before, but Caitlyn didn’t care. The panic that clawed at her throat helped her ignore the exhausted muscles in her legs and arms and the slightly foggy sensation in her brain from the effects of the drug and no sleep. Her dark eyes, Caitlyn realized, were speckled with beautiful gold flakes that anyone could get lost in, should she choose to weaponize them. “If you were an ordinary citizen, perhaps I would believe you,” she finally answered. “But to go from the pinnacle of Piltover political power to the banality of chasing down petty criminals in the Undercity? Then no, I don’t believe that someone like you would find that fulfilling.”

So, I've really started to flesh out the CaitVi Pirate AU. I'm sooooo stoked for it, you guys. It's going to be very different than anything I've written, which means it'll be challenging, but I am chomping at the bit to really get going on it. I don't think I'll wait for "Low Lays the Devil in Me" to be done, so I will probably start posting chapters after I'm done with "Tethered."

For CaitVi, and fanfiction in general, I haven't read that much lately, if I'm being honest. It's not because I don't want to, but because 90% of my free time I have has been dedicated to writing the fics I'm currently working on that there's just not enough spare time I have to read. I used to read way more, but I honestly fell out of fandom life in general a few years ago prior to Arcane, so I just haven't engaged much with fanfiction or tumblr for a bit. Only these two fucking characters could pull me back onto this gremlin house of a website 😂
