So, I've really started to flesh out the CaitVi Pirate AU. I'm sooooo stoked for it, you guys. It's going to be very different than anything I've written, which means it'll be challenging, but I am chomping at the bit to really get going on it. I don't think I'll wait for "Low Lays the Devil in Me" to be done, so I will probably start posting chapters after I'm done with "Tethered."
this isn’t a question but oh my GOD i love chapter 7 & the VI tattoo origin story was SO GOOD AND SMART i gasped out loud 😭 ur officially my favourite fanfic author!!!!! best fanfics ive ever read i genuinely re-read some chapters for comfort aaaaa
Thank you so much. Comments like these help make an annoying work day absolutely bearable. Thank you for the kind words. I’m so glad you’re loving my little stories 🥰❤️💙
I didn't expect to love writing "Tethered" as much as I am! This Arcane bond between Caitlyn and Vi is so much fun to explore as is the more antagonistic relationship between them. An enjoyable deviation from Low Lays the Devil where they're madly in love 😂
Just finished your fic (love it by the way, your writing is TOP TIER.)
I am screaming. Crying. Throwing up.
WHY?!?!?!
Aaaaah thank you!!! Don't worry, the sequel will be coming out soon!! <3 <3 <3
If you’re wondering what my google search has looked like the last few months, it’s this.
writing really is just googling synonyms. that's it. just a constant carousel of "I used this word two paragraphs ago, what is another word for this word"
When Vi and Caitlyn are caught up in an explosion from an Arcane stone after Vi broke into some rich Piltie’s apartment, a magical bond is formed between them and won’t let them be further than 15 feet apart from one another, physically—and dangerously—wrenching them back together if they try. With the study of magic banned in Piltover, learning how to undo it will not be an easy task and they must remain close to each other until the bond is dissolved. Vi is angry that she is forced to be tethered to some privileged Piltie and, while Caitlyn is excited to finally meet someone from Zaun, she is quickly disillusioned by how unfairly Vi treats her for something that wasn’t her fault. Can the two teenagers learn to get along until their tether can be broken? Or will this magical bond only cause a bigger rift to divide two people from opposite sides of the city?

Hey everyone! Check out my new fic for CaitVi, a fun alternate universe where they meet at teenagers (I must love this idea because this is my third fic of them together as teenagers lol). I'm still writing Low Lays the Devil in Me, so don't fret. This new fic will probably be around 3ish chapters and is just for fun.
Hope you enjoy!
In the quiet of the night, with the moonlight shining through their window, a lead weight that Caitlyn had done her best to ignore since long before they left Piltover sat heavily in her chest as she thought back to what Ambessa said about the challenges they would face when they returned home. “Are you still in this fight, Violet?” Caitlyn whispered, unable to stop the way her hand gripped Vi’s almost too hard. Vi pulled her hand up and kissed it. “For every step you’ll have me,” she whispered sleepily. The weight in Caitlyn’s chest didn’t completely abate, but it did so enough that it allowed her to fall into a deep sleep.

IT'S FINALLY HERE!! Thank you for being so patient everyone!
More art from @nogaph of Vi hanging off of Caitlyn's balcony. Look how cute our infatuated "burglar" looks <3 <3
The tattooed burglar swung her legs over the balcony railing with confident, graceful movement and turned so that she was facing Caitlyn. “Thanks again for not shooting me,” she said with a crooked smile. Caitlyn felt her breath hitch ever so slightly at how handsome this burglar was and prayed that the other woman hadn’t heard it. “Thanks for potentially saving my dissertation,” she replied. There was an awkward pause and Caitlyn got the bizarre feeling that the woman didn’t actually want to leave. Caitlyn was surprised that she didn’t want her to leave, either. It lasted only a moment before the stranger lowered herself down partially. She looked up at Caitlyn one more time with a more serious expression. “You should lock your balcony. The next burglar may not be as nice.”

Inspired by this post. I'll get back to writing "Low Lays the Devil in Me" soon, but I think someone needs to take my keyboard away from me because I have a problem. And bring me an ice pack for my poor hands.
Enjoy this 12,500 word indulgence.

I'll do my best to get one more chapter out this weekend, but I really want to make sure I get this next one in particular right. I work weekends and I have an overnight trip planned Sunday-Monday, so there might not be another update until next week. Trust me everyone, it'll be worth it!
I figure posting over 75,000 words in two weeks has earned me a little leeway and good will 😅🤣 maybe I'll post a snippet to keep you guys fed until it's finished, but no promises
For my fic "Heart Made of Glass, My Mind of Stone," if you want to see any alternative perspectives for that Vi never got to overhear, put them down below. I already have 2 times that Vander and Caitlyn chat and the meeting between Cassandra and Vander.
Note: this is for things Vi knew were going on, but never got a chance to listen/overhear what was said. No deleted scenes or anything like that. Maybe once the sequel is finished I can do something like that.
Otherwise, if you have any questions about "Heart Made of Glass," send me an ask and, as long it's not going to spoil the sequel, I'll answer.
