Well, here’s another late post because finals were keeping me too busy.

Starting Monday (4th) I have finals so this week I haven’t been reading as much because of the amount of homework and studying I have to do. Luckily, I’m going to have a couple weeks free before I start my summer classes.

𝘚𝘜𝘔𝘔𝘈𝘙𝘠: Sherlock stared at the imperfect circle on his left wrist in horror, then sat down on his bed with a bit of a thump. After over thirty years, his heartmark was finally showing activity. This was not good.

𝘊𝘖𝘔𝘔𝘌𝘕𝘛𝘚: I’ve really found myself falling for fics where Sherlock falls for John first and thinks its unrequited but it’s actually not. It’s oddly specific but one of my favorite types of fics.

𝘚𝘜𝘔𝘔𝘈𝘙𝘠: John may be predictably average in most things, but there are a handful of areas in which he knows he is uncommonly skilled. He can make a great cup of tea, for one. He’s also good at patching folks up, putting bullets precisely where he wants them, and listening.

The one skill that John is perhaps most exceptonal in, though, is language. John is a polyglot.

𝘚𝘜𝘔𝘔𝘈𝘙𝘠: It isn’t always easy assisting a deaf detective. Luckily for John, they make a pretty good team.

One of my favorite things was how much John worries about Sherlock because in their line of work it can ocassionally be really dangerous (as we learn). I think I also really enjoyed it because I’ve always been fascinated with sign language and want to learn it eventually.

𝘊𝘖𝘔𝘔𝘌𝘕𝘛𝘚: This was a fantastic fic that I’m fairly sure was inspired a bit by Good Omens (yet another amazing series). I really love the relationship Sherlock and Mycroft have and learning about how they deal with the world and people around them as an angel/demon.

𝘚𝘜𝘔𝘔𝘈𝘙𝘠: Sometimes, only sometimes, when Sherlock is very far away and absolutely guaranteed not to return for at least three hours, John sits on the sofa and let's the tea make itself.

In which John is (reluctantly a wizard, Mycroft is (apparently) omniscient, and Sherlock is (surprisingly) oblivious.

𝘊𝘖𝘔𝘔𝘌𝘕𝘛𝘚: I have found that I really love fics with psychic/wizard!John and not only read this fic but the other two stories in the series which are HERE and HERE. It’s a Harry Potter crossover that somehow blend really well together. I love reading about how fascinated Sherlock is with this whole other world.

𝘚𝘜𝘔𝘔𝘈𝘙𝘠: Heaven finally finds the perfect punishment for Aziraphale: to rip every shred of Crowley from his mind. Each meeting, each conversation, each glance they shared--erased. As each memory is lost to him, Aziraphale loses a part of himself, loses moments that formed his very nature. At the beginning, it was Crowley who showed him there is more to creation than good and bad. That it’s more complicated than black and white. With that forgotten, Aziraphale becomes exactly what Heaven wanted him to be in the first place: unattached, blind with loyalty, unquestioning. The perfect soldier. And, as if the last 6000 years had never happened, Crowley becomes the enemy.

𝘊𝘖𝘔𝘔𝘌𝘕𝘛𝘚: This was heartbreaking. They finally think everything is alright and in their own kind of world before Heaven interfere and messes everything up. The worst part is learning about what happened before Crowley fell.

𝘚𝘜𝘔𝘔𝘈𝘙𝘠: As their lunch stretches on Aziraphale slowly comes to realize that Crowley is---enjoying him. Enjoying Aziraphale’s cnversation, and company, far more openly than he has in most of Aziraphale’s memory. And Aziraphale know that he himself is just chattering on, letting conversation tangents carry him along, and---it’s definitely relief, for him, knowing for the first time in a long time that they aren’t being watched, that no one is keeping score for now.

Airaphale realizes that Crowley’s been saying something rather loudly for a week.

𝘊𝘖𝘔𝘔𝘌𝘕𝘛𝘚: I’ve seen posts about Kirk on an all Vulcan ship and this type of reality could not have turned out better than this fic! It’s really enjoyable reading about Kirk interacting with all these other Vulcans and how exotic they think he is. Especially when Spock starts acting a little wild as well.

This week I’m fairly sure I read a lot more fic. While school and work have both kept me incredibly busy when I get free time (early in the morning or really late at night) I would relax by reading fic. As a multi-fandom person I usually read fics from multiple fandoms but this past week I went kinda crazy. 

However, Sunday I finally decided I would dive into the Sherlock fandom. Specifically johnlock. I think over a year ago I might have read a brief fic about these two but never really dived too deep into the fandom. Even though I kinda peaked at shipped them when watching the BBC show. I feel like next week I am going to have a lot more Sherlock fics.

Anthony J Crowley is fucking great at this job. He can be sneaky, underhanded and damn ruthless but also charming and kind. It’s what makes him good at turning.

Aziraphale is just a regular Soho bookseller who loves his shop and books and good food and wine when he’s approached by a woman claiming to be MI5, wanting to recruit him for espionage. The poor man is too trusting and gets the shock of his life when he’s approached by a charming but dangerous-looking man also claiming to be MI5.

Crowley recruits Aziraphale to double cross a double crosser and Aziraphale takes to espionage like a duck to water.

Danger, hijinks, and sex ensue.

𝘊𝘖𝘔𝘔𝘌𝘕𝘛𝘚: A human au I didn’t know I needed! Somehow the author manages to blend everything really well into a human au while keeping everyone in character.

The author has an amazing talent of writing everyone in character and making sure that you get hooked and can’t put the story down. I knew by the second chapter this was going to be a new favorite and by the time I finished had already recommended to one of my besties.

I read a LOT of fanfic and so I figured why not share the stories I enjoyed reading on a weekly bases. My goal is to (hopefully) post each Monday sharing the fics I enjoyed from multiple fandoms. These lists will not include every fic I read over the week but the ones I especially liked. (I might include fic I’m rereading but idk yet.)

So, I really got into The Untamed on Netflix a couple of months ago which lead me to watching the donghua before reading the book. After that, I discovered Heaven Official’s Blessing. In other words, I’ve gotten a little obsessed with these new worlds and fandoms and have been mainly reading fics from these two fandoms.

They swirl with more emotions than he can name at the moment- emotions that he has not seen in those eyes for years, and his heart aches further as he watches the other swallow visibly, trembling hands reaching up to tentatively hold his own outstretched one, though they pass through each other like the other is made of mist.

“Lan Zhan,” Wei Ying breathes, and the shadows under his eyes darken as his face scrunches up, looking like he’s about to cry.

𝘊𝘖𝘔𝘔𝘌𝘕𝘛𝘚: I adore all different types of soulmate au’s and have never read one like this before. The idea is honestly really tragic because you can love someone your whole life and then you only find out when they die that they were not your soulmate. I would definitely love to read more fics with this type of soulmate au.

He learns that his soulmate has been injured on the shoulder- that, judging by his description, they have probably been bitten by a canine of some sort. He learns that his soulmate may not be living as sheltered life as preferred, considering that fact. And he learns the name for the emotion that had sent his heart into overdrive.

Lan Zhan learns that day that he does not like Fear at all.

𝘊𝘖𝘔𝘔𝘌𝘕𝘛𝘚: I actually read this fic after The Cruelty of Fate and didn’t realize for a while it was by the same author. One of the things I like the most is we get to see more of an inside to Lan Zhan’s emotions and feelings. This fic did make me fairly emotion though, especially when we get to the siege of the Burial Mounds.

𝘊𝘖𝘔𝘔𝘌𝘕𝘛𝘚: I really enjoyed how the difference of Xie Lian and San Lang being soul mates makes to the overall story we already know. I especially love how we get to see San Lang comforting and supporting Xie Lian when he is going through a rough time.

𝘚𝘜𝘔𝘔𝘈𝘙𝘠: It had been a decade since Xie Lian passed on.

Feng Xin should’ve let the past stay in the past, but when he found out his old best friend’s house was going to be demolished after being on the market for so long with no buyers, he made a stupid decision. He actually bought the house. He knew it would come with baggage, but he didn’t realize the baggage would come in the form of ghosts.

𝘊𝘖𝘔𝘔𝘌𝘕𝘛𝘚: I had not ready any Feng Xin x Mu Qing fics until this one (even though I was mostly focused on hualian) and I actually kinda liked it. Anyways, this is an amazing modern au that did great job at keeping true to the characters. I also really enjoyed how we get to read about how Xie Lian is able to come to terms with everything that has happened to him and get his happy ending.
