I cannot get over the assassination happening while I was trying to get coverage for my testosterone. Imagine going into the pharmacy all excited to get your first ever testosterone prescription but find out it costs 800$ out of pocket for a three month supply and UHC won't cover it. So then you wait for your provider to get back to you about changing your prescription for an entire week and a half, and during that wait someone just. goes and fucking murders the CEO of your insurance company. Like they just kill him on the street. They had so much calculated hatred for this guy that they even engraved each bullet that hit him. Then, as if the heavens themselves opened up entirely to watch brian thompson descend into hell, your testosterone is ready two days later for pickup, and only costs 10 delicious dollars.
We should beatify Luigi Mangione. He basically checks all the boxes.

Guys, this whole uhc shooter thing is simply not that funny. Best comedy comes out of tragedy and Brians death was no tragedy.
I think the police should have to go through a couple suspects that are clearly not right before they are allowed to even entertain the idea of getting the right one.

There are people going beyond just thirst and are writing straight up smut about a man sitting in prison with the death penalty hanging over him. The guy has already lost autonomy and now he’s being sexualised to a dehumanising level tbh.
The instances that I’m referring to in the post aren’t inherently sexual. I fully believe that the examples that you’re bringing up — people sexualizing a real man going through all of this — are unacceptable and incredibly inappropriate for the situation for many obvious reasons. Downplaying this event in such a substantial way as that can easily lead to misinformation and false perceptions of it in the future, as well as just being incredibly immoral anyways, and I understand that. I’m mainly talking about teenagers online that are idolizing him and manifesting it in trivial kinds of ways, but nothing that borders on actual perversion.
And like I said, I don’t believe that it’s necessarily a good thing either. My point is that, unfortunately, in this day and age, it seems like it’s really the only way to keep the common public’s attention on the situation. Especially the younger generation’s. Looking back on it, I didn’t word the original post very well, especially with my use of the word “thirsting”. and that’s on me.
