consider: Both.
Rereading QoAaD and in the epilogue i noticed this.
“I have his swords,” said Fergus. “You might wish to see them.”
He laid them at the Queen’s feet. A larger sword with stars imprinted on its dark silver blade, its pommel and grip coated in gold. A smaller sword of black gold and adamas, a pattern of stars down its center ridge.
“Heosphorus and Phaesphorus,” said the Queen. “But they were destroyed.”
“Not in my world,” said Jace
So Clary getting her sword back is a possibility depending what come to pass in TWP!!!
this fandom's absolute refusal to extend any kind of grace to clary boils my blood.
guess what? she's a teenager who a) got attacked by a gross monster, b) has been introduced to a world full of said monsters and told she has to fight them, and c) her mom disappeared.
but no extending some grace and understanding for her situation is just too much of a stretch i guess.
if i see one more person take the boat scene, which is just another of the many scenes that slaps us in the face with the fact that jace is suicidal at this point in the series, and use it as a "that's straight?" thing for a jimon post i'm gonna pull out my hair.
i see it everywhere and it disgusts me.
oh no the teenage mc is being.... a teenager 😰😰
“I don’t want the world. I want you”🖤🌎
“Alexander. My beautiful Alexander”🖤
Could it be Bat? 🤔😭😭
CASSIE JUST SAID THAT IN THE FIRST BOOK OF THE BOOK OF TWP WE SEE THE DEATH OF A CHARACTER WE HAVE KNOWN SINCE THE FIRST THREE BOOKS OF THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS!!!!!😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
everyone panicking over Cassandra Clare saying a character we met in the first three tmi books will die in the first twp book 😭 which is understandable but I felt like we should keep in mind the book is literally called The Last King of Faerie and we first were introduced to the Seelie Queen in City of Ashes.... like shes kinda doomed it has to be her I fear
im gonna kms /j

being a former classmate or causal friend of Clary and Simon must be so crazy. like imagine being in the middle of your undergrad and opening up Facebook to see they've both gotten engaged a few weeks apart at 21 after randomly dropping off the face of the earth in high school 😭 I know all the old group chats were alive like never before that day
Quick sketch of our favorite girl Isabelle Lightwood(book version). Please give me credit if you want to reblog/repost. Thank you! :)

my growing collection of characters who were on opposing sides of a love triangle when they should have just dated each other:
I eagerly welcome any suggestions for expansion
These books are my ride or die ❤️🔥
You might think I'm normal but I actually have an unhealthy obsession with the never ending saga of unnecessarily attractive queer demon-slayers who solve generational trauma with swords, sarcasm, tragic love triangles and making-out-in-the-middle-of-war. Or best seller YA series "The Shadowhunter Chronicles" by former fanfic writer Cassandra Clare as some might call it.
I lied. It's not just obsession. It's actually the sole reason I'm still alive.
She was wearing flowers in her hair the color of his eyes…
This post isn't staying up for very long but I need to put this out in the ether. Because when it's outside of my brain, the universe is forced to know of my suffering.
My period cramps...
ARE GOING TO KILL ME ONE DAY I STFG.
MY BODY IS WREAKING HAVOC AND CALAMITY ON ITSELF. I AM THE HOLLOW SHELL OF A ONCE BRILLIANT STAR. THE DECAYED REMAINS OF A SUN THAT, MILLENNIA PAST, DIED A GLOURIOUS DEATH IN SUCH A VIOLENT BURST OF LIGHT THAT IT TOUCHED THE VERY EDGE OF THE CLOTH THAT IS TIME AND SPACE, DESTROYING EVERYTHING IN ITS WAKE.
EVERY MONTH.
anyway. that was dramatic. and nothing to do with my blog at all. but there you have it.
One thing I will say about Cassandra Clare and early Shadowhunters stuff is she stood on business ten toes down when it came to her villains. No lame nature vs. nurture debates, no last minute cop out redemption arcs for the YA audience, just demon incest, Victorian Elon musk and demon STDs that turn you into an evil worm. 10/10 no notes.
