i am so excited yet so scared for Clea Strange finally being in the MCU. Because on one hand, I love Clea and Stephen's romance and i'm excited for it, but on the other I have a horrible feeling that the writers are gonna fuck it up. I NEED my girlboss x boyfailure dynamic. And I KNOW that Charlize Theron and Benedict Cumberbatch can pull it off. I just hope that the MCU writers and directors won't be a bunch of pussies and chicken out of making Stephen a malewife. "bUt HeS tHe StRoNg MaLe PrOtAgOnIsT, wE cAnT mAkE hIm WeAk AnD fEmInInE." YES YOU CAN. FOR MY SANITY. AND HE ISN'T WEAK HES JUST SERVING CUNT.
I want to start buying some comics of my own, but I have absolutely zero clue where to start. If you would be so kind, could you tell me where to start/what order to read comics for some characters I list? Thank you!!
(The ones I want to know the most will be green lmao)
Clint Barton | Hawkeye
Moon Knight
Scott Summers | Cyclops
^^^especially Champions!!!
Bucky Barnes | Winter Soldier
Remy Lebeau | Gambit
Tim Drake | Red Robin
John Constantine
Michael Carter | Booster Gold
Bart Allen | Impulse
Doom Patrol
I had this thought today. These two are more similar than one would think. And thus, I think they'd get along pretty well. Taskmaster being more of the serious one while Ghost being a bit more of the reckless one. And before people begin bashing on the MCU Taskmaster, well guess what? I love her and think she's fine. Y'all need to worry about Kang tbh.
Vision Portrait that's like . Almost pretty much done because I locked in for three hours during a shift after having heavy art block and got silly
Let's have a conversation.
Just because an ethnic group includes white people, it doesn't mean presenting said ethnic group as white is beyond critique. Presenting a diverse ethnic group as all-white or pale, or any specific way to cater to white supremacy (racism, colorism) is still whitewashing.
Homogenizing Roma as white caters to white supremacy.
Homogenizing black women as light-skinned caters to white supremacy.
Homogenizing Latines as white or light-skinned caters to white supremacy.
Lightening the skin tone or erasing the racial identity of canonically dark-skinned, brown, and/or black characters caters to white supremacy.
Homogenizing entire races and ethnic groups to look one way in the media created THIS:

I’m very worried for Wanda.
Like Magento’s last line makes me think he would try to kill her, and resurrect her. But if it backfires, and Wanda isn’t (still) a mutant, then technically Magneto committed a crime. So all of this could lead on the trial of Magneto.
I can imagine mutants being divided on rather to pardon Magneto or have him punished like Sabertooth. What do yall think of this???
Wolverine from that one movie… i forgor 💀
Jk just saw the new Deadpool and Wolverine, good movie to wrap up the whole fox universe. I haven’t watch any of the xman nor Deadpool movies but i get why people might like it!
[HORNY, SUGESTIVO, POSIBLEMENTE NSFW??]
Voidgazer and Nightcrawler in a slightly... horny pose. ✌😊😅
Fake screenshot that I made for my friend Sparvely (IG) his OC Echo in the style of the series [WHAT IF...]
I used a reference image of Magik from the 'A New Sun Must Rise' trailer as the animation style is a bit similar to the series.
Anyway, for the first time I've done something like this, I think I did it well.
"That was close! Are you okay, Miss Maxine?"
"Y-yes, thanks for savi- hey, I know you! You're the acrobat of that circus, The Amazing Nightcrawler!"
Milksop, I totally forgot it was a word until I saw this.
If Marvel ever adapts Werewolf by Night into a show, I really hope they include the absurdity that is The Hangman
“So much for the Tolerant Left!” Says the man running around L.A. with a scythe chasing after a mostly innocent hairy boi
My baby!!! I started reading Ms. Marvel in highschool I was maybe a couple years older than her canon age, but I still loved her so much and I still do. Kamala is what I hope my future kids will be like.
Ms. Marvel from the ‘Future Avengers’ anime.
no dubs or subtitles are provided, but you can watch the episode here.
i love cutthroat kitchen but bingewatching makes it really stand out how often alton brown refers to himself as ‘daddy’ and makes contestants wear spreader bars
Prominent Bisexual Characters in MCU and DCEU in 2017. (hopefully to be canonically seen as such on screen asap)
A part of me thinks that Deadpool suggested Parker Industries because he knew there was a chance that Peter would see her on the roof and instantly jump to save her (or at the very least stop her).
Also, I know that Deadpool's the 'merc with a mouth' but that doesn't mean his mask needs one.
One Marvel pairing I'd be interested in seeing in the comics (if done correctly) would be Spider-Man x She-Hulk. I genuinely think with the proper writing and nuance, a relationship between them could work. Spider-Man reads to me like he'd appreciate a woman of her caliber.
I read a post earlier and then lost it before I could reblog it with some interesting information so I'm gonna throw the information out into the void.
The original post was a comment about how no one who has ever inked a comic has ever met a person of color before. They had very valid complaints about bad shading and inconsistent skin tones.
And y'all know me. I am a fiend for comic industry history.
Color in comics is obviously a huge deal, not just in skin but for iconic costume designs. The oldest and most well-known characters tend to be bright shades of red, blue, green and/or black. This is true across the board in early comics and it's due to a variety of factors. The biggest one being that most comics, to be made cheaply, could only use around 63 colors for a standard issue. On top of that, the way the DC and Marvel printed their comics was basically with pointillism and shifting densities.
Before I wind up regurgitating the whole article, let me link one of my go-to resources.
And
Actually, womenwriteaboutcomics.com in general is a fantastic educational tool and a great way to keep an eye out for opportunities to submit your own comic story submissions.
Thanks for letting me nerd out about comic history again!
No, I will not shut up about this
And here's the Moon Knight pile of stuff I don't think I've posted here
(How obvious is it that I have the worst favorite no matter the fandom)
