One time I was really hungry so I decided to microwave a corndog as a little treat but for some reason I wanted the meal to be fancy. So instead of using the normal microwave safe plates I got my moms fine china which had like this metallic etching in it and delicately place my corndog on it with a ring of ketchup like a garnish. So I put it in on high to cook fast and of course the etchings start sparkling and lighting the fuck up and I panic so I just unplug the microwave and just stare at my corndog through the door before deducing that I just had it too high. So I plug it back in turn it in low and of course it happens again but slower. Then my sister runs up and takes it out before calling me stupid and makes me a corndog on a regular plate and the whole time I’m just thinking corndogs are somehow metallic and thus can’t be mincrowaved. It took me years to try again

My life was between streets and alleys that held childhood memories 🍉, and friends with whom we used to share laughter and dreams. But with the beginning of the war,❤️‍🩹 every detail of life changed; the sounds of explosions filled the place, and the sky turned into a scene of smoke and fire. 💔💨 Returning to normal life became an unattainable dream.

As the danger intensified, we were forced to flee south, moving between shelters and temporary places where we searched for shelter. 🍉🏚️ We went through difficult days, and I was thinking deeply about our situation, trying to hold on to any hope that would restore my sense of security.

Then came the decisive decision; I and some of my family members decided to leave Gaza 🇵🇸. After a journey full of difficulties 🚶‍♂️, we arrived in Egypt, but we left most of our loved ones in Gaza, where they are still living in difficult conditions, facing high prices and food scarcity. 🥺🍉

Our presence in Egypt opened a new chapter of challenges for us. The cost of living is high, rents are unforgiving, and with no accommodation available, we faced additional obstacles regarding education; it became necessary to resort to private schools and universities that require high fees. 🌟📚 Despite these challenges, we try to adapt and continue, carrying dreams inside us for a better future. 🍉🌅

This is my story, and like it are many stories of displaced people who are looking for a new beginning, facing daily difficulties, but still clinging to hope. emergency situation !!
