Alien: Human Avery I have noticed that you have repeatedly put off tasks today but never get back to them.

Human: I'm not sure if it's the exact reason but i have ADHD

A: I assume that is an acronym, what does it mean?

H: Attention Deficit Hyper-activity Disorder

A: so you are saying you are very easily distracted.

H: yup!

A: Well surely humanity has come up with ways to help deal with it yes?

H: there are various medicines and drugs that supposedly help but none of them really worked.

A: Well surely removing any potential distractions helps right?

H: … 

A: Right?

H: ………..

A: your silence does not instill hope.

H: you know how some people experience vivid hallucinations when they sleep right?

A: yes?

H: Well some people can do that when they are awake whenever they are bored or lack stimulation, such as whenever they don't have any distractions. 

A: Don't tell me. it's common in people with ADHD isn't it.

H: as far as I know that is spot on.

I see a lot of Humans pack-bonding with creatures they view as their own young, but I also wanna talk about how young humans pack-bonding with creatures older than them because they view them as a guardian.

Like, think some sort of human kiddo is wandering around a massive spaceship. No one knows who they belong to, nor where they came from. One of the resident aliens sees that there's a very young (read: age 9) human wandering around alone and without another human around. The kiddo probably got lost or something.

So, this alien tries to help find this kid's pack or their guardian, whatever, and well...the kid kinda just. attaches to them.

As like a This Is My Guardian Now scenario.

And now the alien has a little human to worry about because they won't go stay with anyone else. The kiddo pack-bonded with the alien. That's it. The kid won't leave, and they get really sad when the alien tries to give them to another human.

Imagine all the shenanigans with this big, fearsome alien...and the little human kiddo that attached themself to the alien.

Oh my god that's it!! The End! Who would have thought that a circus au recommendation from twitter ended up as a 150+ page comic. The feedback from you guys has been amazing, and that has made that project so much more fun for me too!

Aliens witness humans going “Babyyyy” when they see other animals and mistakenly believe that humans are liable to believe ANYTHING is a member of their young if it acts/appears similar enough; this has resulted in MULTIPLE cases where aliens leave their children at human orphanages instead of on their own world because of humanity’s pack bonding ability and it becomes some huge scandal where aliens are like.

“Manipulating them into taking care of our own young is immoral”

and

“Have you seen humanity? The moment they figure out what we’re doing, they’re freak out and go on a murder spree!”

Meanwhile, humanity is just like ‘sweet, we’re taking care of alien kids… we can handle this :)’

Bonus points if a human brings something like a puppy on board a ship and call it by saying ‘babyyyy!~’ and, despite knowing that it is DEFINITELY not a human infant, they try to treat it as such despite the fact that it is not a human.

Humanity appreciates this.
