Humans cracking their knuckles as an intimidation tactic against aliens
Can you imagine being an alien and this thing just broke its bones at you?????
I'd be scared tbh
Why did it make that noise
That's a bone breaking noise
It's like those ppl who bite off their acrylics before a fight
I see a lot of Humans pack-bonding with creatures they view as their own young, but I also wanna talk about how young humans pack-bonding with creatures older than them because they view them as a guardian.
Like, think some sort of human kiddo is wandering around a massive spaceship. No one knows who they belong to, nor where they came from. One of the resident aliens sees that there's a very young (read: age 9) human wandering around alone and without another human around. The kiddo probably got lost or something.
So, this alien tries to help find this kid's pack or their guardian, whatever, and well...the kid kinda just. attaches to them.
As like a This Is My Guardian Now scenario.
And now the alien has a little human to worry about because they won't go stay with anyone else. The kiddo pack-bonded with the alien. That's it. The kid won't leave, and they get really sad when the alien tries to give them to another human.
Imagine all the shenanigans with this big, fearsome alien...and the little human kiddo that attached themself to the alien.
Do you think aliens would get freaked out when we crack our joints?
*human stands up after too long spent hunched over the computer, all joints cracking*
*alien coworker whose only experience with human anatomy comes from movies where crack = broken bone*
Ok so some bit ago I learned that why humans fingers and palms prune up in water is to get a better grip in water
What if aliens don’t have that funky little feature?
So imagine a human and their alien group are trapped in a little area and there’s a bunch of water and it’s rising (absolutely terrifying experience) and the aliens are trying to get a grip on the kinda rough wall and can’t but they look at the human and are shocked because they’re clinging to the wall like a spider
So ima say they get out safely and they update the human guide/manual

"Hey guys I got whooping cough."
"OH! OHOHOH! BEGONE SICKLY ONE! QUARENTINE RIGHT F*CKING NOW I CAN'T BE GETTING THAT."
"Woah calm down--"
"Do not tell me to calm down! Do you have any idea how contagious this shit is?!?!"
"Well, I heard but I'm wearing a mask and I'm literally on the other side of the glass wall, talking to you on the phone right now!"
"Like I give a rat's ass! I work at the child centre!! I. CAN'T. GET. WHOOPING. COUGH. BEGONE. NOW."
"Okay okay okay! I get it, going now! only like 8 of the kids could get it anyways...not even the same species."
"Love you!! I'll make you some cabbage soup!" with that she goes back to her lunch. Oblivious to the strange looks from her co-workers.
"Uh, what's whooping cough?" asked Op reaching for the salt with her tail.
"A very contagious human disease that gives you a nasty cough for several days to a few weeks."
"Oh, that doesn't sound too bad."
"Yeah but it can make you feel just awful and is actually very dangerous for infants, young children, and the elderly."
"How dangerous?" Fenrir asked
"Well...they could die."
*silence*
"Its not often though, usually rare, they're just more at risk. I mean I had it when I was a baby and look! I'm perfectly fine."
For a while no one said anything. Just eating. Until Fenrir asked another question.
"Why is it called whooping cough?"
"Because that's what it sounds like. The inhale sounds like a whooping noise. But according to my parents I sounded more like a barking seal."
"What does a seal sound like?"
"Hold on." she fishes out her phone and finds a video of a seal barking.
*Seal noises*
"...and what does whooping cough sound like?"
*Whooping coughing noises, which honestly sounds like someone coughing up their heart and soul*
"...how the f*ck are you alive???"
"I second that."
"My Dad tucked me into his coat and walked out in the winter air so that it would clear my lungs."
"That's it?!"
"Cold air is what saved you from death?!"
"...I mean I probably had some antibiotics but yeah. There's no real cure, just a vaccine."
"THERE'S NO CURE FOR THAT?!"
my prof just explained on the syllabus that he’s included more pionts in the class than we needed to pass, so we could skip up like?? 20 small assignments/quizzes/participation!! and still get a very high grade!!
the idea was that we could focus on assignments that played to our strengths - only do the participation stuff if we like to talk out loud - only do the quizzes/readings if we want to do the class remotely - only do online discussions if we like to talk and share opinions but struggle with anxiety in class ect.
and that’s cool enough but then he pulled up DnD character sheets with drawings he’d done of these hypothetical student player classes and how our various accessibility needs could be gamified to ‘max out’ different aspects of the class to get high grades and like!!!!!
hell yeah!!!! let’s treat accessibility in higher education not just as a necessity but as the fun, engaging, and creative aspect of learning that it is!!! I love this!!
All Might: Wow, you bought a lot of vegetables. What are you making?
Aizawa: Soup for Eri
All Might: What kind of soup?
Aizawa: You will not fantasize about my soup.
All Might: Oh…ok
Last minute piece for a competition. Love how this turned out!! Used the anime trope of a deep blue sky with tall, fluffy clouds to frame the focal point, v fun v kosher v demure. This is just a sword in the stone type thing, izuku is a half deer cause I feel like it makes him more underdogs. When he gets trained by all might though those deer legs become WEAPONS let me tell you
