"The Vladimir Tiara" - HM Queen Elizabeth II

Purchased in the 1920s by her grandmother, Queen Mary of Teck, from The Grand Duchess Vladimir (Marie of Mecklenburg-Schwerin, a German princess, who married Grand Duke Vladimir Alexandrovich of Russia, a son of Emperor Alexander II, in the 1870s). 

The tiara can be worn with or without drops. Above the three versions:

- without drops

- with pearl drops

- with emerald drops (from the Cambridge emerald collection used to create the Delhi Durbar parure)

"According to the account written in the 1920s by an American journalist, Mabel Potter Daggett, George and Missy’s Malta romance actually went as far as to a series of kisses, the most important supposedly occurring on the occasion of Missy’s 14th birthday party. My heart is broken in a thousand pieces. I’ve never felt this kind of pain. Most of you know my daughter and son-in-law Davy and Natalie Lloyd are full time missionaries in Haiti. They were attacked by gangs this evening and were both killed. They went to Heaven together. Please pray for my family we desperately need strength. And please pray for the Lloyd family as well. I have no other words for now. Not my post I'm just sharing the family is asking for prayer...TammyS.

Don't let the media make what's happening with Israel, Iran and Jordan into some "middle-east problem" again. This was entirely orchestrated and encouraged by the US and the UK. Israel initiated every attack against Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, and Iran. Israel KILLED, targeted, the children and grandchildren of Palestinians political leaders. And the US could've stopped all of this by simply not giving Israel money and weapons bu they didn't.

The Western media has constructed this narrative that countries like Iraq and Iran are the problem and the western nations are the antidote keeping their 'terrorism' at bay. No, they have always and at all times started the conflicts, or worsened them.

Because they want the land, they want hegemony over the resources of that region and that is it. And they've demonstrated already by killing over 33,000 people that they'll do anything.

Stop joking about World War 3 and take the loss of lives and the horror of what is happening seriously. This cannot keep escalating

POSTCARD FROM EMPRESS ALEXANDRA FEODOROVNA, JAN 1905

Postcard with a small illustration of a horse drawn carriage. It was sent to the Prince of Wales, later King George V, by Empress Alexandra Feodorovna on behalf of herself and her husband, Emperor Nicholas II.

The message reads : 'Jan. 1/13. 1905. Darling Georgie, Nicky & I thank you & dear May ever so much for the charming books. It is so sad that we never meet now! We are remaining in the country this winter, as the air is so much better here than in town & Nicky can get out easier for walks here. With fondest love from us both to you two. Ever, Georgie dear, yr loving old cousin Alix'.
