If anyone hasn’t been following awful fandom twitter things in the past week, you might have missed the horrible racist harassment campaign directed at Krystina Arielle, who is a delightful person I’m sure many of you know from things like “Sirens of the Realms,” Critical Role’s “Honey Heist 3,” Dimension 20′s “Pirates of the Leviathan” and lots of other online D&D content. She’s also a part of “Into the Motherlands,” a great TTRPG stream using the Cortex system.
The harassment was tied to the fact that she’s the wonderful new host of an official Star Wars show on youtube! The first episode came out today and is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v5phi7oXDms
Please go and give it a like to shower the first episode with love and show we support Krystina! Give the video a like and, if you’re up to it, join me in reporting the harassing comments.
Let’s show that the D&D and ttrpg community supports Krystina’s Star Wars adventure!
i couldn’t fit it in but a bonus level is: i hope trump doesn’t die just yet bc it could affect the election/i would like him to experience intense suffering first.
I’m always delighted when I write down a new subject that I should talk with my therapist about. A new addition in a long line of things that I’m anxious about.
So this is a phenomenon known as “Fata Morgana”
Essentially it is a mirage, but it looks like an alternate dimension.
Along the shore the cloud waves break, The twin suns sink behind the lake, The shadows lengthen In Carcosa. Strange is the night where black stars rise, And strange moons circle through the skies, But stranger still is Lost Carcosa. Songs that the Hyades shall sing, Where flap the tatters of the King, Must die unheard in Dim Carcosa. Song of my soul, my voice is dead, Die thou, unsung, as tears unshed Shall dry and die in Lost Carcosa. —"Cassilda’s Song" in The King in Yellow Act 1, Scene 2
Add in the fact that there is another mirage that can happen,
Now, in the book “The King in Yellow” specifically the story “The Demoiselle d'Ys” a young man ends up in a weird place with a bunch of weird characters, and one is named “Hastur.” The ending makes the whole thing seem like it was an illusion.
What if Carcosa is not another planet? What if it is a dimension that exist right here simultaneously with ours? What if it is a mirage, that we can only see in certain circumstances, and thus why it is called ‘lost Carcosa.”
Hey y’all, I rarely use this site but I’ve been kinda feeling like absolute garbage lately so here is a photo of my cat. He’s babey and the only thing keeping me somewhat together.
Crazy how quiet everybody was and is about chechnya. Like lgbt people are being tortured and murdered by chechen officials and by their own family and people. When the news first broke out in 2017 there was barely any posts on tumblr despite the fact that we found out a literal gay purge was happening and now the documentary about it was released two days ago and im one of the only people doing posts about it here on tumblr. Honestly the most heartbreaking part about the documentary wasnt all the fucked up things but the fact despite these horrible fucking things happening nobody cares barely anybody is talking about it. Youd think a website with huge amounts of lgbt users would make this trend but no when you go in the tags theres literally less than ten new posts. Putin isnt gonna do shit about it the lgbt chechens and the people evacuating them need support from other countries russia is not gonna fucking help them. Every day this fucking site is filled with stupid lgbt discourse and shit that doesnt fucking matter but when an actual gay purge happens and actual people are being murdered and tortured yall decide to be quiet and do absolutely nothing.
This is probably going to be an on & off again game diary for the 5th edition campaign I am running for my friends.
It's the first of Evening Chill. The year is 922 A.K.C
Our heroes, (an aarakocra wizard named Klauce Sextius, a satyr fighter named Kéfi Dieben, and a tortle druid named Herb) have found themselves in one of the largest cities on the continent. Unlike the capital of the kingdom of Alavast to the north, the people of Elaine have declared it to be one of the few free cities on the continent. Though whether it's truly free is up for debate. Many smaller towns in the region rely on Elaine for its vast resources, oftentimes at the cost of local resources and independence. Elaine has become what it had always dreaded, though not all see it that negatively. The party spent the day screwing around and getting supplies after their healer departed from the group. Klauce potentially found a lead for the next step in solving a great magical mystery which plagues the cosmos, by way of a soon-to-be-starting excavation of a small town just northwest of the city. The excavation was for a small series of tombs in the town, which had served as the last holy bastion for empires of old.
What happens next? Find out next time we get our session scheduled.
One of the perks of playing “Call of Cthulhu” is that you get to play a table top game that isn’t based on a Tolkien Inspired High Fantasy world.
Happy Todd Howard Day everybody!
Have a dump of the outfits I've done for Animal Crossing New Horizons so far:
*goes to Coachella in a white linen suit like an antebellum lawyer, sweating profusely and dabbing at my forehead with a handkerchief* now, I’m no fancy scientist, but would you folk know where a simple gentleman such as myself could obtain some acid? Now, I’m no big city lawyer, but could any of you fine youths point a country boy such as myself in the direction of some fucking acid?
(they/them, he/him) Here to begin exploring the horrors of fiction and to have a good time.
