Huitzilopochtli and Coyolxauhqui -
The God of War, who acts as the Sun, Huitzilopochtli was threatened by his sister, Coyolxauhqui, Goddess of the Moon, when he was yet to be born. Along with her hundreds of siblings, the Gods of the Stars, Coyolxauhqui went to attack Huitzilopochtli on the day of his birth. When he came out of his mother’s womb, he flew with a snake covered in flames and beheaded and killed her, then proceeded to slay the rest of the Star Gods.

One time I was going for walk at night on July 6th 2024 because it was hot and stuffy and I was bored so and saw a streetlight flicker so I decided to play with it with my magic powers so I thought about ollin and how the movement of my heart was the same as the alternating current powering the streetlight for a few minutes and electricity and ollin are both governed by Xolotl and nothing seemed to happen so I stopped and right after it flickered which made me giggle because it was like he was trolling me so I walked a little more saw an owl fly by and then BOOM. 12:19AM Heard a pair of explosions one right after another and saw light flash on trees nearby. And then a couple weeks later explosions that night made the news and it was this huge big mystery people thought that the government was covering up. And I'm the only person who knows the real cause. But the explosions everyone else heard that night don't match up chronologically with the ones I heard. It doesn't make sense.
Pls don’t blow the power grid we need that
Fuck but because I feel bad eating him and there’s too much for me to reasonably eat
The Feathered Serpent is a prominent supernatural entity or deity found in many Mesoamerican religions. It is called Quetzalcoatl among the Aztecs; Kukulkan among the Yucatec Maya; and Q'uq'umatz and Tohil among the K'iche' Maya. The double symbolism used by the Feathered Serpent is considered allegoric to the dual nature of the deity: Being feathered represents its divine nature or ability to fly to reach the skies; being a serpent represents its human nature or ability to creep on the ground among other animals of the Earth, a dualism very common in Mesoamerican deities.

I cried listening to this.
I can’t stop imagining the Centzon Huitznahua singing this to annoy Coyolxauhqui
“What were you holding? Why did it shine?
Did I glow like the moon when impaled by the pines?
You think that you've killed me, but watch my chest rise
How am I breathing if I've already died?”
(Warning for slight gore under the cut)
Update for some reason tiny dancing Huitzilopochtli infiltrated my dreams
I don’t know if I like this version or the version where his buttass naked selling chilis more
A lil test I did since I haven’t experimented with editing in a while
Thanks tumblr for throwing this on my feed while I’m drawing something bittersweet
I am actually ill about Huitzilopotchli right now
like can you imagine having to watch your entire family die, some by your own hand, and hearing everyone cheer. This is a good thing. You're so young. Your mother is dead. This is a good thing. You will be celebrated for this. You didn't protect her enough and yet this is a GOOD thing
And there's a pain you can't imagine
A special kind of torture you can feel
A cut that bleeds from somewhere deep inside you
A past regret you can't heal
And no one guesses all the while you’re praying
That screaming little stranger in your arms
Might just grow up and save you after all
Might just grow up and save you after all
