Was drawing and thinking about how Nephthys would fit in the dynamic between Coyolxauhqui and Set since she is Seth's wife in Egyptian mythology.

I fear I sent myself into a pit of despair. Nephthys, from what I've seen, been depicted by others, is always as someone whose mirror to Seth. Like someone who can balance him out. I think she would serve a similar function with Coyolxauhqui, but she would allow the space for her to be vulnerable. Allow a sense of sisterhood without the feeling of having to be a role model or be judged for your actions. She would be an equal for Coyolxauhqui.

I think Nephthys would allow Coyolxauhqui to process her grief and frustration when it comes to her relationship with Coatlicue. I think she would also be key for Coyolxauhqui and Huitzilopochtli reconciliation. Someone who allows Coyolxauhqui to be angry and frustrated and defends her to Huitzilopochtli. (In the sense of Huitzilopochtli making off comments when he rarely does talk about her sister). But I think she also allows the support for Coyolxauhqui to rebuild that relationship instead of just being like fuck Huitzilopochtli (that is more Seth's vibe).

In conclusion, I think Nephthys is a good thing for Coyolxauhqui and is her number supporter!! If there's no Coyolxauhqui fans, then nephthys dead! She for sure gave Chang'e the shovel talk. She also would just toss hands on sight for anyone who continues to shit talk Coyolxauhqui. Like she would try other methods but if all else fails it's like WOAH IS THAT NEPHTHYS WITH A STEEL CHAIR

Why would you do this to me

"What if" fanfic idea I have with Coyolxauhqui and Huitzilopochtli-

What if Coyolxauhqui wasn't trying to kill her mom, what if she was actually trying kill Huitzilopochtli instead? What if Coyolxauhqui interpreted her mother pregnancy to Huitzilopochtli as one would see a parasite?

What if he was a parasite? What if he was killing his mother and he simply didn't know, so safely crawled in his mothers womb, sapping away to many nutrients that his mother couldn't keep up? What if Huitzilopochtli's death was the only way to save her mother form certain death?

What is her mother wanted to die? What if her mother loved her unborn child so much, that she push through the pain, run away from her own daughter that simply wanted her beloved mother to live, and protect the thing that was slowly dying.

What if Huitzilopochtli was born hearing his mothers gently sorries? Sorry for having him, sorry for running from her daughter, sorry for failing as a mother?

What if his first world was sorry? Sorry to his mother, who he failed to save, who he failed to protect, who he never even met? What if he was sorry to the sibling he would have to kill, never meeting them but knowing they must die, for his mothers sake, because it was them who killed her.

They had to have killed her, with they way they stared at him. With malice, contempt. With the look of someone who wanted him dead.

They wanted him dead. They wanted him dead, that they killed their own mother.

For that they'd pay. Huitzilopochtli may have failed to protect his mother, but he will avenge her. He will kill the people who killed her. Because it was them who killed her, not him. Why else would they be here? Why else would Coyolxauhqui look at him with such killing intent?

I THINK SETH AND COYOLXAUHQUI WOULD BE FRIENDS. LIKE. YEAH.

Like they are both siblings that get painted as purely bad or purely evil when they are both more than that.

Coyolxauhqui is expected to sacrifice and expect to not get angry. The idea that her brothers that far from her and their bodies decorate the night sky that surrounds her because of a brother that she hardly knew protecting a mom that she felt as if broke her trust.

For seth being a god of chaos and while what he did with killing his brother and contending of horus wasn't cool. There's also some good that he does that may get overlooked because he is labeled as an evil god. He protects Ra when he goes through his journey through the Duat and faces Apep every night. He is one of the war deities. Also, with him being a chaos God, he has to balance the scales. For every good, there has to be a bad. Sometimes, he has to be that.

Anyways I think they would match each other's vibes.

Coyolxauhqui: I hate this guy.

Seth:we should beat him up.

Inspired by that trend from a few months ago with "Fukuouna Girl" from Stomach Book I just think she's be so angry if she knew her own story, you know? I feel like she'd have this kind of rage that only comes from being goddess of the southern stars, and then all of your brother's bodies becoming the stars that litter the battleground of the angry night sky you rule. I don't know if I'm onto something or just think older sisters deserve to be angry

Aztec mythology headcanons three!

(It’s mainly on Coyol and Tecciztecatl because I’ve been thinking about them)

• Huitzilopochtli has a mega sweet tooth and will drink straight syrup

• he’s done it before and will do it again

• Coyolxauhqui was originally quite annoyed with Tecciztecatl’s presence but eventually accepted him as a sibling figure

• I imagine its quite hard to talk to the stars when they’re so far away

• a home four hundred strong to just you must be a very hard transition

• Tecciztecatl and his goofy ass might’ve made it easier

• Coyolxauhqui would definitely force him help him train

• if we’re going with the version that Tecciztecatl turns into the goddess Metzli

• then Coyolxauhqui would probably be happy to have a sister for once

• I feel like she also has some weaving skills due to caring for four hundred brothers so she would teach Metzli how to make her own clothes

• She (M) would love this

• honestly either Tecciztecatl or Metzli would just love having a supportive figure right after becoming the moon

Huitzilopochtli and Coyolxauhqui -

The God of War, who acts as the Sun, Huitzilopochtli was threatened by his sister, Coyolxauhqui, Goddess of the Moon, when he was yet to be born. Along with her hundreds of siblings, the Gods of the Stars, Coyolxauhqui went to attack Huitzilopochtli on the day of his birth. When he came out of his mother’s womb, he flew with a snake covered in flames and beheaded and killed her, then proceeded to slay the rest of the Star Gods.

The four Tezcatlipocas each have illustrations where they have Tez' face markings for their different colors so I thought. For my designs. They would have them for their. Fucking. "Tezcatlipoca forms" in which they get a buff, since he's written to be the strongest of the four

They get his face markings and their own smoking mirrors! Quetz' smoke looks like a wind jewel, Xipe's looks like roseate spoonbill feathers and Huitzi's looks like Xiuhcoatl

Also appreciation for these Huitzi and Coyolli that I drew for a little lineup

Because I didn't draw Coatlicue big enough last time. Woah mama
