Steve follows close behind, closing the bus door behind us. Everyone jumps, fleeing to the opposite side of the bus.

She’s very protective and loyal to me.”

They all stare at me blankly.

“You’re kidding right?”

I shake my head, a hand grips my pant leg. I turn, seeing Y/N. Kneeling, I grab her claw, pressing my lips to her face. Just a light peck.

Her breathing starts to slow as she settles down. I stand up, earning another tug on my pant leg.

“WHATD YOU EAT STEVE” you yelled as you clung onto the back of your boyfriend trying to pry his face mouth open to grab whatever it was he ate off the floor “SPIT. IT. OUT”. Eddie and Steve were chuckling from the couch watching you fight a monster that could clearly eat you in two bites if he really wanted to “NEVER” Steve said throw a mouth/face full of the steak you were gonna cook yourself for dinner “SPIT IT OUR RIGHT NOW OR SO HELP ME GODDDD” you continued trying to grab whatever it was while also trying to avoid his sharp teeth.

When that plan failed you decided to take more drastic measures and switch to plan B. The spray bottle, you knew the boys hated when you got the spray bottle because you always filled it with hot water. You huffed and stomped into the kitchen the sound of the sink turning on and something being filled could be heard from the living room. “Ooooo your in trouble Stevie” Eddie snickered “should’ve just spit it out like they asked” Billy grunted taking a sip of the bottle of bleach he had sitting on the table in front of him “you don’t think their-“ before he could finish you had already entered the room the dreaded spray bottle in your hand

“now Stevie I’m gonna give you one last chance, spit it out or your getting sprayed” you twisted the nozzle so it wasn’t mist but the precise stream Steve shook his head even going as far as to throw the steak in the air before catching it continuing to gnaw on it “wrong choice big boy” Eddie said before you began blasting hit Steve anywhere and everywhere you could with the offending liquid “I warned you Stevie”

It took five minutes if you spraying before Steve spit out what was left of your poor steak that you were gonna cook yourself “damn it Stevie that was my dinner” you huffed crossing your arms over your chest. Eddie and Billy were dying of laughter from their spots on the couch clinging to each other as tears rolled down their cheeks and their stomachs hurt from how hard they were cracking up. “Y’all wanna be next” you snarked pointing the spray bottle towards them “not at all sweetheart” Eddie said putting his hands up while they both tried to hold in their laughs. You rolled your eyes and went back to petting Steve’s head noticing he had began making a weird purring/growling noise “awe poor little Stevie had to get a hug after he got in trouble and sprayed” Billy snickered along with Eddie earning them both a couple of sprays from the bottle watching as you mouthed ‘be nice or your next’ before you went back to holding Steve while he kept mumbling apologies.

“Missed you, sweetheart,” Eddie says with a dimpled smile. You nuzzle into him and Eddie beams, hopeful that it meant you were staring to understand him. He’d been trying his best to teach you to communicate, but teaching the english language was even harder than learning it yourself.

“Eddie.” His name coming from your otherworldly voice would send chills of fear down his spine in any other context. Instead he feels his heart flutter in his chest, practically beaming with joy.
