sketching is for the inside of books

• I didn’t do much yesterday outside the lab. I planned to spend 3 hours but I overdid it and stayed for an extra hour and some. I didn’t even try studying when I got back. Nell studied for 4 hours and that’s my source of motivation for tomorrow, actually today but whatever.
• One of my exams is available to write outside of the regular exam phase and the professor just let us know yesterday. It’s on the 11th of December and I decided to write it then instead of February. I’m kind of stressed about it, mostly because it feels very last minute.
• Exam registration for my department was moved to Wednesday. Not surprised. I just want to see the dates so I can plan. Ugh.

Hi!
I wanted to ask you, how are you always so productive.. I am in slump rn ..tips?
hi hana! ☺️ dw, i gotchu~ 💛
3 things to remember to get out of a slump ⛅🌼
full disclosure, i'm actually a very lazy person 🦥
when i started this blog last year, all i wanted to do was sleep and watch my emotional support kpop boys, and i knew i needed a change, so i started posting my daily accomplishments for accountability and motivation.
as kim seokjin says, “if your left hand does something good, your whole body should know about it so that you'll want to do it again!”

as a lazy person motivated by kpop, i needed to meet myself where i was at.
i did try normal studyblr / productivity challenges, which were really fun on their own, but after a while, i felt i needed an added spark, so i started doing my own silly kpop-inspired challenges!
although i was quite nervous about posting it since i thought people might look down on or make fun of me, my moots and followers were super supportive, so that was a big motivating factor as well 🥺
also, i'm a big believer in “do it scared.” you might not feel ready, you may never be ready, but never let perfect be the enemy of great. if you can turn your nerves into excitement, then you can go so much farther and longer!
actually, i think i'm also approaching that time again when i need to take a break. i've been working hard for over a quarter now, and i've even gotten myself really sick because of it. as someone who is in a constant battle with my laziness, i sometimes end up swinging to the other extreme.
i got this question about toxic productivity before that made me reflect more deeply on what it means for me. all these months later, i still need to remind myself to take care and that there's a difference between striving towards fulfilling dreams and churning out meaningless work.
💌: hope these help you! i always worry i project too much whenever i try to give advice, so please definitely just let me know if there's anything i'm misunderstanding 😅
