Are you a slytherin by chance?
When I tell people to delete anon hate, to not publish it, it’s not me saying “ignore it and it’ll stop; don’t fight back.” It is 100% petty and spiteful. Honestly, I can’t think of anything better than the person who sent the hate obsessively checking your blog and refreshing and refreshing, waiting for you to reply, and getting increasingly frustrated when the ask they so masterfully crafted never pops up & you just keep posting cute pictures of your pets and talking about how nice your day was.

Me, on the outside: I did!!!
Me, on the inside: I have no idea what I’m doing, please, this is a call for help, if you see this message—
but mom how will other people know that you, a white Texan, are a Christian
When you are at a public pool over the summer DO NOT FLOAT FACE DOWN OR ATTEMPT TO HOLD YOUR BREATH UNDERWATER FOR A PROLONGED AMOUNT OF TIME.
These are actually dangerous behaviors that can easily lead to hyperventilation which can cause you to pass out in the water.
and I promise the lifeguards will jump in after you even if you are not drowning.
I relate so much

Abled Person: Hey man, can you hold this wad of $2,000 and this one penny for me while I open my wallet?

American Customer: you’re English right? Do you know the bookshop between Wales and Bristol that has lots of books in?
Me in my head: yeah mate, I know that one. Classic. Love to pop down there on a cheeky break between work. What a wanker…

I’m a life guard/swim teacher a common one is yelling WALK! At people when they are running while I’m off duty.
But since I’m a swim instructor too and work with kids I will go into teacher voice at random times.
Itold my 14 year old brother “walking feet buddy, thank you.”
And my 24 year old cousin “you gotta wear sun glasses because too much sun is no fun!” And I died inside the second I realized what I said.
I worked with toddlers and pre schoolers for three years. Sometimes I accidentally slip and tell a friend to say bye to an inanimate object (“say bye bus!”) & occasionally they unthinkingly just do it.
It’s also important to listen to those who have experienced racism when they call you out on behaviors that don’t seem harmful to you, or you think is fine.
Remember even if you believe in racial equality you are still susceptible to racist behaviors through toxic social conditioning.
Even other people of color can show racist behaviors to other minority groups.(I am NOT talking about reverse racism)
my opinions on racism will always be limited as I’m from a position of white privilege, so whilst it’s so important to call out racial inequality and oppression when I see it, it’s also important for me to recognise that my voice should not shout over those who have actually experienced racism and have a far better understanding of how it operates then I ever will
