do you ever feel like you're faking but in a 'this feels forced'/'these people are too unrealistic' way? e.g, you have a headmate who can speak a different language, but can't translate said language to you when asked? or because your brain is so exhausted from dissociating constantly, headmates personalities start to get weird and fuzzy and they say stuff they'd never do (to me, it feels like they're melting back into a singlet because my brain can't hold their personalities together)?
If you're area is safe do so at all, I would recommend going to the mall and hanging out in stores like hot topic! One of the only times I've worn ears in public I was at the mall and I got so many compliments there, easy stress-free environment that lets you start getting used to public gear and have a less likely chance of getting weird looks or anything like that, I cant guarantee you wont get that but at least from my experience it was very pleasant, did get stared down from a random old dude tho- that was near the food court though so not surprised 😭
Honestly y'all need to chill with the "nonhumaness needs to be involuntary!"
The only reason you're saying that is due to wanting to present 'valid' enough for outsiders. It's not a choice so they won't bully you, like they do furries or other people.
And I hear you cry "but KFF!". KFF aren't nonhuman, they just relate. If someone comes over to me and says "I choose to be nonhuman today, I am nonhuman no matter what other ppl tell me. I genuinely identify as nonhuman." That isn't KFF, that's a nonhuman.
Truly, I'll just go "woah...that's so based". Because truly, what are our differences? We both genuinely identify as nonhuman....and yeah that's about it.
You might say, "they don't experience shifts!" There's nonhumans that don't experience shifts. And there's humans that experience shifts, we call it the "shifter's disease". Basically when a full human researches or is around nonhumans and begins feeling phantoms or feeling nonhuman, despite not being nonhuman. So it isn't exclusive to us.
"They don't have noemata!" There's nonhumans that don't have noemata.
"They don't suffer species dysphoria." Theres nonhumans that don't experience species dysphoria. Also cool transmed rethoric.
"They weren't born with it!" There's nonhumans that become nonhuman later on in life.
"They didn't wish their whole life to be a different species!" And? I can imagine there's some nonhumans that didn't even realize they wanted to be/were a different species.
"It's disrespectful to nonhumans that suffer due to their identity!" Another cool transmed rethoric. It's only disrespectful to you because you're up your own ass and believe that anyone who didn't suffer like you did, that didn't have it as hard as you isn't as valid as yourself. But what you don't realize is by having that belief you are excluding such a large portion of your community.
There's involuntary nonhumans who don't suffer from their identity at all and they're still part of our community.
The line between voluntary and involuntary can get blurry very quickly and hard to describe. But truly, you are no one to say who can use a label that rightfully describes their experiences.
Get real and truly think about why you're so upset at someone having a good faith identity.

i will explode everyone that tells us that we are not 'separate beings'. we are and thats who we view ourselves as, deal with it. like i know thats probably not how you view yourself or whatever but yall gotta remember the system and plural experience is a wide one. and there are gonna be systems and plurals that experience things you dont.
we say we are separate beings. treat us as such.
and DONT correct us or try to tell us what we are.

You are a writer/roleplayer whose fictional characters “have a will of their own” or “refuse to do what they’re supposed to”
You experience fictional entities sharing your mind/body in a unique way
You have the sense that fictional characters spontaneously or gradually take up residence in your mind as full people.
You feel like you can ‘channel’ fictional characters spirits the way a medium would channel the spirits of dead people.
You have a fully or partially realized internal space where characters interact in your mind with one another and/or with you
You ‘just know’ things about certain characters even though they were never stated in their source material, whether you are the author or not. (character’s exact height, favorite ice cream, etc)
Someone in fiction, or in real life, addresses a certain character and a reply just automatically comes out of your mouth.
You get into whole conversations with people ‘as’ a fictional character without meaning to
You experience periods of being a fictional character/a fictional character inhabiting your body (shifts/fronting)
You pose a question mentally to a character and they answer back.
You ‘sense’ the presence of a certain character in your mind mentally/emotionally
You sense that a character has a certain emotion for you/or wants something from/for you
You feel an emotional connection/friendship with a character that feels returned
If any of these sound like experiences you’ve had, you might be a soulbonder!

This silly plan of the Cambrian Crew,
This challenge to write rhymes, by a few
Of the boredest of us - Varyn and Shiloh,
To push the limits of where syscourse can go.
We can be clever, we can be kind,
We can disagree or be one in mind...
But can we say things in rhyme that are meaningful, wise?
It can't hurt to at least give it a few tries.
So this is our first test, and so we say, we see:
Whatever your kind of system, what caused you to be
Many in mind, not an I but a We...
We welcome you, see you, respect you, believe:
The intertwined lives that your systemmates weave
Is a beautiful, wonderful living tapestry.
Each thread of your life, whether bright or grim,
Is stronger for having been woven as Them.
I love you spiritual systems that are also psychological
I love you walk-ins of any kind

I love you spiribonds (+ other walk-ins) who struggle to take care of a human body
I love you intrabonds
I love you exobonds
I love you walk-ins who have relationships with non-spirutual headmates

I love you mixed origin systems with spiritual headmates
I love you mixed origins who have been told "you're either a spiritual system or you're not/you can't be both" (or have had thoughts of someone saying these things)
I love you systems/headmates that have spiritual practices and those who don't
I love you walk-ins who wish to see more people like you and get upset when you don't
I love you bondsystems
I love you cosmagenics
I love you gateway systems

Here's to proxy systems!
A proxy system is defined as "where one functions as a singlet (or approximately close to one[...]) due to a frontstuck host, yet members of the system are [...] distinct in headspace" [via Pluralpedia].
Shoutout to proxy systems who:
Are median
Have OSDD-1A or P-DID
Live life as a singlet most of the time, or only tell close loved ones about their system
Also identify as specutien
Didn't initially know they were a proxy system due to lack of information in plural spaces
Thought their system might've been something else at first, such as a kin system, or thought that they were just a singlet
Please know you are so important to us! You deserve as much place in the plural community as anyone else! Did you know how amazing you are? Well, now you do! It's going to be ok, and you'll get through anything you might be facing right now.
We love you!

Tiktok therians piss me off SO BAD. beacuse why did I just see someone say "well!! You can't identify as a song! that's just stupid!!" We are in the same community, we aren't supposed to judge eachother,
also shotout to songkins! You guys don't get enough attention
'Archetropes aren't alterhuman, that's normal human experience '.
No. It's normal human experience to feel that you fit an archetype or trope. It's normal human experience to have a favourite archetype or trope and gravitate towards characters who display it or even try to display it in yourself or your OCs.
It's not really going to be considered normal if you say you are the embodiment of that archetype or trope, partially or completely. Or if you identify with it in such an intense way that it completely shapes the entirety of your being including possibly your therio/kin/fictotypes.
It's not generally regarded as average to see yourself not exactly as a person but as an archetype of a person, a trope of a person. To the side of being human because you are a concept and apply to humans but you are still basically just a concept with a body. That's alterhuman.
I keep seeing "transotherkin" flag creation posts in the otherkin tag recently, and I just - takes your hands gently in mine. You are already otherkin. I don't know how to say this more gently, but - regardless of your feelings on other transx/transID identities and how well they are or aren't handled, transotherkin is a word that does not make any sense basically no matter which way you slice it. It's like saying you're transtransgender. It's already an internal identity determined entirely by your feelings and how you see yourself. If you want to be nonhuman/feel you should be nonhuman enough to be calling yourself transotherkin you are already otherkin - genuinely, what else do you think is required to qualify, exactly? And even if you well and truly are absolutely certain you're not already despite those feelings, you can just... become otherkin, or an otherlinker (a term that will yield more "okay but how do I do that" resources if you look into it), whatever term you prefer. It's okay. With all the gentleness in my heart, stop enshrining questioning doubt and gatekeeping-inflicted self-doubt as part of your identity and just claim the word that you have every right to anyway. It's okay. You're allowed. Come sit with us.
