sometime in the past few decades movies stopped being movies
whatever happened to throwing a dart at a board and coming up with the most random plots that no one else could ever think of? what happened to weird kids and disgraced scientists needing to come up with 1.21 jig-o-wots (not how it's pronounced btw) to power their time machines? what happened to saving a town by dancing? what happened to stealing the declaration of independence? what happened to dinosaur fossils and wax mannequins coming to life? what happened to towns of anthropomorphic chickens being attacked by aliens in want of acorns? what happened to mean girls getting hit by a bus while storming out of a school left in shambles by teen drama?
what happened to cinema?
I’m really glad I grew up in the age of Pirates of the Caribbean, The Mummy, and National Treasure because they just don’t make movies like that anymore.

Many people think that Tony wanted to kill Bucky in that bunker in Civil War. But not many watched the movie frame by frame. Look at this:
Did Tony just save Bucky from the falling structure? This is STRANGE, isn’t it? Let’s take a closer look:
Tony is punching Bucky. The structure is falling on them.
They noticed it.
Tony turns back to Bucky.
And throws him away from the falling metal.
While Tony stays there and gets pinned by the rubble.
Well, looks like he indeed saved him by throwing him aside and took the hit himself instead. Strange move for a guy who wants to kill.

I’m just thinking about how many times I’ve heard my dad on a long call with an obvious scammer and I’ll start begging him to get off the phone because I always think he’s a very easy mark and he’ll just keep going and then after a while he’ll say something like “I died 20 years ago” and hang up.
leia organa truly has one of the best bait-and-switch character introductions of all time because when you meet her she's this brave, stoic picture of elegance and justice and always knows just what to say to vader and tarkin and is clad in white like an angel and is this perfect two-dimensional archetype of pureness of heart. and then approximately half an hour later into the film she meets luke and han and she IMMEDIATELY shows her true colors as a sarcastic, bitchy control freak with a massive impulsive streak and a deep mine of hyperspecific insults. 10/10 character design i'm obsessed with her

not only does this serve as Enrichment in his Commander's Enclosure, it's also a good test of his men's situational awareness
not to mention, it's a good mechanism for a little petty revenge every now and then
he'll occasionally also 'loan her out' to Wolffe or Cody as a chance to stress-test their own troopers' level of vigilance (and give Torrent a break from her reign of terror)
