As someone who joined the fandom recently through Arcane, I'm so sorry they're erasing og Machine Herald and Giopara jayvik actually. Divorce era is so good, those two were fucking menaces to society and each other and it's peak actually. We could have had BOTH dynamics smh

Watched arcane and came out of it with *checks notes* a League vikjayce fixation even though they just descimated their League lore and I never plan on playing League. Cool.

I think Silco and Vander are probably the most accurate adaptation of the League of Legends versions of Jayce and Viktor.

Zaundads and Jayvik both came together over an initial idea, one side started disapproving the other’s extreme ways (Vander towards Silco, LoL!Jayce towards LoL!Viktor) which leads to a massive fight, the two being separated for a long time until Silco and LoL!Viktor come back full villain mode.

(I don’t know much about the game’s lore but I’m going to share my opinion anyway 😅)

Hi! I discovered jayce with arcane, and i saw some people (mostly lol artists) call him giopara and not talis, but on his lol page it's talis, and i wondered why?

Riot has retconned jayce's blurb some weeks ago. that is a sloppy addition to acknowledge how arcane is now the "main canon", but it makes no sense with his game bio.

I kinda feel like writing a funny one shot of post S2 Viktor stuck in league verse (Yes this is inspired by League Viktor getting got by the Arcane rewrite gun rest in piece you will be missed). Poor guy would be so discombobulated by everything.

I also think it'd be funny if when Viktor got back the thing he couldn't let go of as like the absolute worst part of the League timeline was Giopara. Like he just grabs Jayce by the shoulders like:

"Jayce listen to me I just went to the worst timeline ever. Everyone was fucked up, Piltover and Zaun were in a full blown war. Worst of all? You were an insufferable narcissistic asshole and also White."

ngl arcane!viktor has spread propaganda that machine herald/LoL!viktor is a reasonable person. like i can kind of understand replacing your body if your body sucks and is failing. but LoL viktor is never said to have had any sort of wasting disease. there’s maybe some implication that he has a bad leg bc his design wears a brace (on the opposite leg than in arcane, go figure). but he’s just not even dying. he replaced all his shit bc he Felt Like It. because he believes that metal is so far superior that he’d sacrifice a healthy human body to become “evolved”. he gave himself an EMOTIONAL SUPPRESSOR bc he was so fucking mad. he was like “Wow I fucking hate feeling like this, I should stop feeling anything at all!” he’s not like a regular guy and jayce giopara was fairly correct in being like “Hey viktor? let’s pump the breaks on this, its getting weird.” and viktor was like Fuck You and now they’re divorced. because viktor couldnt resist the temptation of self surgery and amputation. Oh and the mind control.

Thinking of some art and fics I’ve seen where Jayce Giopara somehow got sent into the Arcane dimension and either badly hurt or kills Arcane!Viktor. Thinking of Jayce Talis coming just too late, having to watch, helpless, as a version of himself kills the man he would sacrifice anything to save.

Considering their divorce era, I think Talis would crash out harder than anyone’s ever crashed out before. Not Jinx, not Caitlyn, maybe Viktor in his Act 3 post-cult era. Maybe. Frankly I think this man would make the first interdimensional nuclear bomb. He’d become the Machine Herald of his own universe and then cross dimensions just to start the cycle over.

Yes, Jayce Talis would practically become Victor Frankenstein or a necromancer to keep Viktor with him, but you know who else would do it? Machine Herald. I just know that mf would turn Giopara half machine just to keep him alive and I honestly think it doesn't matter if is out of love, or bc he wants to prove his work was worth, because both are quite interesting to explore. That's why, for me, vikjayce is a step ahead, bc with Arcane you know is 100% devotion, in og lore?? They have a false screen of a simple dynamic, but they are both trapped in that false dynamic while also beliving thats the only way for them. It could be any reason or no reason at all. Vengeance or love, love and vengeance.
