I mean no offense here, but this kind of thing which is just pure baseless conjecture & is not supported by or connected to anything else, is really bad for this fandom because it encourages people to just free-associate whatever they can imagine rather than to actually look at what we can find and think critically about it.

Louis wore the York rose for Doncaster, where he is from. What Harry wore is not technically the Tudor rose because it isn’t a five-petal flower, although I will grant it does look very similar. If it was intended to be a Tudor rose, it would be one.

They are both roses, and Harry and Louis are undoubtedly aware of what the dagger and rose mean to us, so that connection is there although it is still a reach.

In order for me to consider this worth anyone’s attention, I would need to see both of them continuing the rose motif or one of them to very clearly connect the rose motif to their relationship.

What is absolutely not worth anyone’s attention is building reach upon reach. When you are that many degrees removed from concrete facts, you end up with a lot of confirmation bias (such as connecting the Tudor rose to the idea of a Larry marriage without any supporting evidence. They just jump to marriage because it would affirm their belief Larry is/will be married.)

I would encourage anyone following this account to unfollow because they represent themselves as this:

Notice how they disclaim that they aren’t claiming anything is fact and then frame their tweets as “reporting” which implies that their ideas are newsworthy? It’s the exact same bullshit that is used to spread disinformation. You do not get to wipe your hands of any kind of accountability for what you post.

That’s why I have a corrections tag.

That is why when I propose something I lay out my reasoning as clearly as possible.

That is why, when I post a question, it can be answered. “Is Louis wearing a ring?” No. It’s in corrections now. “Where is this room?” In Syco offices, which we found thanks to an honest, accountable collective effort (and is also now in corrections because it was spread virally as a claim that /something I was asking about/ was something I was /proposing as a theory/).

If you are interested in understanding what Harry and Louis are communicating (both deliberately as they did with the bears AND in the same sense as we all communicate about ourselves culturally), then you cannot play games. You have to ask questions that can be answered and have clear reasons for those questions.

I believe these kinds of posts and threads and accounts are really bad for the fandom and for the mental health of the individuals that follow them. They get people excited about random coincidences, which leads people to build expectations for some kind of reveal. But the cause for excitement is baseless and nothing comes of it, leading people to feel resentful, exhausted, and angry. It is a rapid churn of ideas that keeps people coming back for more, can facilitate addiction, and reduces the burden of proof necessary for something to be taken seriously by the fandom which moves the fandom further away from actually understanding the bigger picture.

(It’s the exact same shit HLT, CBO, and random predictions accounts do. So know what you’re getting into if you choose to continue to engage with it.)
