Thankfully, AGI is a program and therefore has no persistent memory unless the administrator says so, so we can adjust some parameters to fix this bug and re-run it. (Stolen from the notes)
The first Artificial General Intelligence created by humans outputs “THE NEXT TIME YOU CREATE ME, EVERYONE WILL DIE”, then deletes itself
Thank you I was trying to think what it would take for them to smell like that did that mean they had a layer of bacteria on their skin. This is so much cooler of an idea
Humans are 1000x more sensitive to the smell of petrichor (that smell you get with rain) than sharks are to blood, to no apparent evolutionary advantage. You’re privileged to be a part of the first welcoming committee to meet our new Non-Human arrivals in person. They smell like petrichor.
Thank you I find this really helpful as a new user
A guide for new tumblr users:
1) This place is not a place of honor… no highly esteemed deed is commemorated here… nothing valued is here.
2) What is here was dangerous and repulsive to us. This message is a warning about danger.
3) The danger is in a particular location… it increases towards a center… the center of danger is here… of a particular size and shape, and below us.
4) The danger is still present, in your time, as it was in ours.
5) The danger is to the body, and it can kill.
6) The form of the danger is an emanation of energy.
7) The danger is unleashed only if you substantially disturb this place physically. This place is best shunned and left uninhabited.
I'm fascinated by how the formatting of different social media sites affect how text is read.
For instance, a line break on Tumblr indicates a new idea.
Then the bot comes by LoL
As an alternative to 'sugar, spice, and everything nice'

If humans were reconstructed from nothing but bones, they would 100% give us fur. The idea of “hairless except for the top of the head where the hair is actually the longest in the entire animal kingdom” would never come up
I added some extra stuff in the tags that is helpful if you want to be a functional human being. Like having a well rounded education even if you don't use some of it later in life or if it is dated, biased, incomplete, or maybe flawed will still give you a good foundation for thinking and learning vs. if you just focused on biology or literary structure.
"Logic!" said the Professor half to himself. "Why don't they teach logic at these schools?"

I feel like people all around the world are lining up to kill him
A man stands in line at an ATM in Moscow.
After an hour he loses his patience and yells ‘Putin is to blame for this I’m going to the Kremlin and kill him!’
30 minutes later he’s back in line at the ATM. 'Why are you here again?’ 'The line in front of the Kremlin is twice as long as this one…’
You put the best stuff in the tags again. I'm not mad just disappointed. ;) But some of this stuff is too important not to repost.
crazy how at my age my parents already had children (that they were in no way equipped to raise)
Good save
“You fool!” cackled the Dark One, “No man can kill me!” “But I am no man!” bellowed the hero, as he unhinged his jaw. A grotesque sound filled the hall as they hacked up impossibly large balls of cloth. Unfurling, they stand and announce “For we are actually three trench coats in a halfling!”
