I’d best be seeing that anti JKR energy for this twilight show too bc Smeyer continuing to profit off the Quileute tribe is not cute
I'm bored of elemental giants. Use environmental giants instead.
Environmental Giants all start out the same, but their bodies take up the features of the place they live in. They become a reflection of their domain.
Giant takes up residence in the cliffs of dover? Not a stone giant. No, that's specifically The Giant of Dover. Its body is made of chalk. It can create dust clouds of chalk with its breath, its shoulders are padded with tufts of short grasses and blackberry bushes.
Giant takes up residence in the ruins of a highway during an apocalypse? That's the I-95 Giant. It has rebar spines along its back, skin of pavement and concrete, and wears wrecked cars as armor.
And to make this idea more dynamic, the giant's form changes as the ecosystem changes. A river gets diverted away from a Giant's domain? Then the Giant dries up along with its land. Now the Giant has an incentive to protect its dominion, and a weakness that its enemies can exploit.

Hikarina got the shit going so now more kingdoms will pop into existence in the nest 60,000 years
Åsthenar's island keeps moving and merges with a giant mountain range, so that's their territory and they call it the Gyvorkal Mountains Fulegria becomes Fulegor Adontium but still has their crisis The Hikarinians and Yūregians gave hope to remaining undecided survivors of The Fall that they could find a place in the world, so some began to sail out to the other continents they saw hints of from across the oceans Some feared that those landmasses from across the sea were only islands, and so held off on sailing until someone from the leaving groups returned Some Lunarisians travelled north to the frozen landmass they saw, learning to wield bitter frost to create icy paths through sea They never came back and some hope was lost, but more decided to sail away, believing the northerners had found land The frozen north became Halinskor, and the kingdom that would be established Yukiosa, the kingdom of ice Some Urthalisans sailed east to the continent saturated in elemental energies, learning to tame the capricious sea They created large boats which they propelled with their power, and found new land they called Jin'hu-Guo, establishing Walekria, the kingdom of water Unlike the Yukiosans, after only a thousand years, they came back for the remaining survivors on the now named continent of Yinorael, bringing fleets to ferry them to the elemental continent. Many went with the Walekrians except for a small group of Urthalisans that wished to find their own way, and this lot sailed south to the continent of Kavathanar, finding the half elves that had isolated themselves for many thousands upon thousands of years They chose to join these people in their mysterious ways and over generations would become indistinguishable from them, but never went back to Yinorael Those that went with the Walekrians would gain new power as they traversed the continent, bringing with them new kingdoms. Some Lunarisians found a light in the caves of which they followed to find abundances of minerals, and so they called the land Cevris Astal and established the subterranean kingdom of earth, Föllen Alatsa
Some Solarians felt the heat of magma that reminded them of the sun they once loved, and so they called the scorched land Emorscal and established the kingdom of flame, Flaerna
Some Urthalisans travelled through cavernous darkness along a river that seemed to breathe and found a vast cave of crystals that radiated with the glow of Asurei, and so they established the kingdom of crystal bearing the name of Lustarise, a name shared by the cave system that birthed the kingdom
Those that followed the Flaernans but did not embrace fire traveled northeast and discovered the arid desert, yet they were not satisfied with the scorching heat it brought There was no other land that they felt a call to, and this one they felt was closest to the sun they once embraced, and so they called the land Desaebla and established the kingdom of sand, Dalirna But not all of those that came to the new continent had found a place where they belonged, so they would be guided by observant beings to lands and powers they could call their own Cirania, a benevolent being among the Dysheraln descended from the Dak-Shan of old, decided to lead one of the outlier groups to the land of forests and grasslands, teaching them to embrace the powers of nature despite it not being a legitimate element, and so this land of green and the new kingdom of nature would both be named Floernia The Sky Lords, the four elves that fused with powerful air elementals over a hundred thousand years ago, would come down from the air lands above to lead another of the outlier groups to the land above the clouds, teaching them to embrace the sky instead of the distant sun and moon, and so this land far above would be named Syklari, and the kingdom of air, Avianaen, would be established The final outlier group would find their place in the continent a century later, still clinging to their roots of celestial power from the solar and lunar legacy that died after The Fall Two beings would descend from the dark of night and light of stars to bring the group past a dense forest to the north- Sarkath, The Celestial One, and Qilanar, The Black Serpent They would each bless one half of the group, with Sarkath granting his half the ability to reach towards the stars once more and draw power from stellar energies, and Qilanar granting her half the ability to pierce through the darkness of space and draw power from the inky blackness that embraced the stars These elves would call the land Qisara Kranor and establish the kingdom of Zodiana, worshipping the wyrm-like beings almost as if they were gods Elemental energies still spread throughout the world and Asurei still tainted the atmosphere, so the elves would continue to diverge and gain their own distinct adaptations and appearances to their lands until few resembled the Solarians, Lunarisians, and Urthalisans of the past(except Yūregians and Föllen Alatsans still looked mostly like Lunarisians since they didn't need to change much) However, as thousands of years passed and each kingdom gained their separate identities, they would forget their blood ties from the ages long past to reach for individual futures This would mark the start of the modern era, but also the start of war- a concept the elves had not contemplated since the Dak-Shan were defeated over eight hundred thousand years ago in the distant forgotten past.
Here’s the thing.
I read a lot of scripts. A lot. From professionals to aspiring writers to complete newbies. Features and pilots. Specs and treatments.
And 8 times out of 10 the fan fic that I’ve read over the last, oh, 15 years is leagues better than this stuff. It’s more inspired. It’s more compelling. It’s genre bending and creative and heartfelt. It’s well-paced and intense and funny and sexy and meaningful. It’s smart and thoughtful and good. It’s novel-quality. Better than, sometimes.
Rare is the script I don’t want to put down, but how often have we stayed up until 3am to get to the last chapter of a 100k fic? And it’s not even a fan fic author’s day job. This is what they do on the side. In their spare time. For free.
So my point is, fan fic authors, you’re good. You’re good writers and great storytellers. I know it doesn’t always feel like it, especially if you’re one of the authors who’s not a BNF and doesn’t get the notes/hits that a few do. And because some people still view fic as “not real writing.” You guys know the shit that gets made into movies. You’re better than that. So be better than that. If writing is what you think want to do, then just know you’re already doing it. You’ve already started.
And you’re more talented than you might think.

I finally got my shit done back to elvaria I'm (temporarily) free🙏🙏🙏
The sky was not always smothered in ash and debris, and we of the three kingdoms were not always so somber and defeated.
We were once proud and mighty peoples, we that held the power of the three moons and sun of this world, but all that is left of our radiant legacy are ruins and shriveled bodies.
All we have left to hope for is to remember the past and pray for a future to carry on our memories, and so do I leave this story on this wall to preserve for whomever finds this some thousands of years from now.
When there was still a sky and celestial bodies in our sight, we would celebrate an event known as the Trifold Eclipse where all the moons of this world would align with the sun and cast a silvery shadow upon this world, and this only happened once every seven thousand years.
We of Lunaris would come out from the night on this rare occasion where we did not have to fear the weakness the daylight brought to us, and those of Solaris would come out from the day on this rare occasion where they did not have to fear the weakness the dark of night brought to them.
Those of Urthalis would prosper most at this time, as both the sun and moons were present, and this eclipse would last one week.
We would hold vibrant and plentiful feasts and festivals in the main city of each kingdom, traveling throughout the world in a sort of drunken pilgrimage in our finest festival garb. Tournaments would be held to test each others’ physical and magical prowess, and cities and villages would shine brightly with the celestial energy that bathed the world in shimmering light.
Though the flow of the violet Asurei was weak during this eclipse, this was a time of celebration for our victory against the Dak-Shan many, many generations ago, and a time to thank the celestial bodies for shining upon us and granting us their power.
We were all at our most powerful during this one week, and on the eve of the final day of the eclipse, every citizen would gather at their capital city and channel their power into crystal vessels.
The vessel of Solarine shone bright gold like the sun that they drew from,
The vessel of Lunaris shone pure white like the pale moons,
And the vessel of Urthalis shone a warm vermillion like the vivid sunrise and sunset.
These vessels represented the empires we had built and the legacy our ancestors left for us to continue, and in these vessels too were our well wishes to the future generations and prayers for our empires to last forever.
On the first light of the last day, Solaris would raise their vessel into the sky and watch as it became another star in the sky.
On the sunset of the last day, Urthalis would raise their vessel into the sky and they too would watch as it became another light in the rays of the descending sun.
On the midnight of the last day, we of Lunaris would raise our vessel into the sky and watch it as it followed the separating moons and disappeared into the blackened night.
As the vessels faded from the sight of the three kingdoms, so too did the eclipse’s corona leave the skies and thus did this time of celebration end.
We never thought that The Fall would occur less than six months after the last Trifold Eclipse.
Now, this is but a distant memory that fades with each year that passes, and over four Trifold Eclipses should have happened by now…
But we no longer have anything to celebrate with a shrouded sky, and so do I entrust this memory, and thus the legacies of our fallen empires, to you from the future.
If we do not survive this age of darkness, please let our memories do so in our stead. -------------------- The Trifold Eclipse is no longer celebrated by the people of Elvaria after the many tens thousands of years of darkness and strife, and there is only one kingdom left that directly draws from celestial power. Of the many traditions of the Cycelian empires left behind in the distant past, this festival is one of such that will never see a revival. The memory endured through stories passed down through the ages, but the spirit of it died with its era. Some believe that there should be a revival of it for the preservation of the past's glory, but the majority believe that those days should be left to time in order to look forward to a new golden age.

Despite the Urthalisan refugees having joined the population of Jivankira Elthir during the Age of Shadows and have since become physically indistinguishable, part of Kavathanar known as The Crescent, which is the inner side of the Dinhrang Mountains, still is majority inhabited by descendants of these survivors.
Though they go by the name Jivankira Elthir, they've kept some of the Urthalisan culture to this day and continue to create clothing and buildings in a similar style, but of course with some changes due to influence from native Jivankiran culture and drift over time.
Compared to real world cultures in history, the Urthalisan descendants follow a Le dynasty Vietnamese style, and native Jivankira Either follow a middle Egyptian style.
