The boys for a friend đđ
When Tim is seven, they have a parent career day at his school. The point of the project is to showcase to other classmates, staff and the parents and families that visit what their parent or parents do for a living.
A lot of the students have businesmen for dads and stay at home mums, as typical for the high class, but not all of them do. Some are CEOâs, some own a unique company or business, or got their wealth from sports or entertainment.
For Tim, his parents have two very unique jobs even if they are technically from generational wealth, that being Drake Industries that creates medical supplies as well as funds vehicles like ambulances and fire trucks. Stuff that looks great on paper and gets them support even if the two care little for it and more for their second form of income.
Janet was more into the archeology that showed history in culture and progression of society, story telling and proof of civilisations, while Jack was far more fond of the animals that existed or still do and how they have changed.
So naturally, Tim excitedly chose to talk about their extensive work in the latter.
Janet had single handedly proved several historical theories true and false, her unrelenting determination to proving she was right and using her connections and charming nature to do so.
Jack had discovered a whole new dinosaur that he named after his wife, as well as being one of the loudest in discussion of such beings and their feathers.
Tim found he enjoyed his motherâs work most, as cool as dinosaurs were, because his mother had taught him about how ropes and cogs were once all the âtechnologyâ anyone had.
So, Tim Drake set about showcasing his mums hard work and after being denied brining a rare pot she had found, he decided to make a copy of it out of clay in the schools art room. The teacher helped him with dry hands and a kind smile, excited on his behalf as he so clearly enjoyed the process and seeing how else clay crafts were used.
Tim stood proudly at his table, several paragraphs written out and printed out for people to read about his parents achievements and a diagram of the skeletal structure his father had discovered not long after Tim was born. Many people praised him, saying how well he did for such a young age, only to be even more awed when he explained he made the pot himself and it wasnât the real deal, but a replica.
It depicted Aphrodite as she stood over roses, at the time white but some clearly darkening as the thrown cut her foot, while she made her way over to a figure that was known to be Adonis as he laid dying from a boar beside him. It looked very simpler to real Greek art, though of course a little wonky and with less dirt and ancient clay, but the pottery was exceptional by a childâs hand. Hell, even a teenager.
Tim was so very happy, waiting patiently for his parents to come and see what he had done, how he had shown everyone in his school how cool and clever they were and even made some of the olde kris look at him with jealousy, butâŚ
They never came.
Not because they were hurt or sick or worse, dead, but because they were too tired from their trip they had gotten back from a week ago.
But Tim was a Drake, he wouldnât show his growing anxiety and fear, instead he stood tall and spoke animatedly too anyone who would listen and avoided questions on where Janet and Jack were just like they had taught him to when pushed for sensitive information.
Tim took the pot home and Janet smiled at him, telling him it was âniceâ.
She didnât point out the errors or anything, said nothing bad and had no disgusted expression, she just⌠called it nice. And moved on.
Seven year old Tim smashed the pot against his bed room wall and cried his eyes out until he fell asleep.
When he woke up he came to a conclusion: he simply hadnât done a good enough job and if he was more accurate, had less bumps and used more polish, heâd get a better reaction.
So thatâs what he did.
The second pot got a confused brow furrow and he was asked why he was showing it again, after all they were busy people and they had already seen it?
Tim made a different one and got a similar answer to the first, though Jack did give him a pat on the head!
Tim decided to make a few, perfect his craft more, until he showed them more so he could truely wow them.
Yet a funny thing happened while he made his replica pots and bowls.
He started to have fun.
Soon it became known to the staff at his school that if you couldnât find Timothy, he wasnât flagging school, he was in the art room. Given he had such good grades and had plenty of friends, none of them had a problem with this as it wasnât affecting him badly.
Tim made a mug for his art teacher that was shaped to look like a tree stump and asked for help to paint it from his friend Ives whose mother was an artist, who got tips from his mum and taught his friend how to shade and paint on canvas first.
As thanks, Tim made Ives a little clay mushroom charm that the other boy made into a bracelet.
Eventually Tim is having so much fun with his crafting heâs even having to buy creams and ointments so his hands donât get so cracked and cry. He has a whole draw for his art clothes lest he get too many dirtied, as well as a shelf in the art room for his creations.
By the time heâs nine he hasnât shown his parents many of his creations and while he enjoys the bits of praise he gets, the lacklustre response just bums his out, so he stops. They arenât mad about it, nor are they really in favour of it, they just donât seem to care all that much.
Tim knows better than to waste their time too much and just enjoys their company when he can.
When Tim becomes Robin heâs started commissions within his school and friend group, including a smoking tray for Kevin, a chess piece set for Wesley and a rose candle holder for Darla.
Ives gets the most bit thatâs because he gives them to his mum as gifts.
He stops his craft while he trains, usually too tired to do so, but finds making simple vases and bowls is calming for his mind. Batman tells him he needs to have ways to detach from his night life so they donât get too blurred, a mistake he himself made, and so Tim uses his clay craft to do that.
He makes Bruce a mug shaped like a bat for him to have in the cave and itâs the first thing that starts to break Bruce in regards to seeing Tim as more than just the new Robin.
Tim makes Alfred a kettle pot, a simple thing as itâs his first time doing so, and paints it with buttercups.
Barbara gets a big eye charm that has several little ones hanging off wires from its base. The window charm moves with her to the clock tower even years after.
He makes Dick an elephant with pink markings over it like the one he saw on the circus posters from The Flying Graysonâs. Dick still ainât happy about there being someone in his brothers suit, not really, but he was never going to truely take that out on Tim and seeing the sweet gift left in his car makes him feel a little lighter.
It still hurts them all to see a young boy in their house thatâs not Jason, but with Tim being so different they soon stop making the comparisons so much. Thereâs still damage down, words that will stick with Tim, but itâs not as bad.
Tim makes Cass whole collection of little things like a tiny duck and frog, as well as hats for them. He makes her a plate thatâs just for her with a teddy bear curled around a heart, her initials on the back.
He makes Steph a stupidly intricately engraved brick all for the inside joke between them, but the way she cackled is well worth it.
His teammates get so many gifts he canât count them all, though his favourite will be the mini versions of them he made and that they put as the centre piece of the towers dining table.
When Jason comes back he doesnât make anything, not even when the misunderstandings have been cleared up. Jason openly refuses to change his violent ways even if he promises to be more friendly, but thatâs not why. Tim is still so hurt at seeing his childhood hero so broken that he canât bear to think of it, until he watches Bridgerton of all things and starts to think differently.
Tim comers how different Jason must feel and how lonely that must feel, so he makes him something special. It by all means looks like a book even itâs an all clay, though the bones and flowers over the binding give it away with their glistening. Jane Austinâs Sense and Sensibility was hard to paint, and that wasnât never one of Timâs strengths, so he doesnât do the cover art and instead writes out the letters prettily and hopes itâs enough.
Jason never responds to the gift outwardly, but the way he ruffled Timâs hair just to annoy the other tells him enough.
Duke gets three necklaces that piece together to make one big charm, blending together in a colourful spiral perfectly. One is for him, the other two for his catatonic parents. When he realises what Tim made them for her cries, hugging Tim so tightly heâs afraid heâll pop.
Damian is the last to receive any gift, their rivalry far too strong, though it ironically Timâs favourite.
The stump like cup has several little mushroom cups around its sides and set of dips fit for a paintbrush. Tim explains the centre is for water and the other parts made for water colour paints or even acrylic, though that will be harder to clean even with the setting spray.
Damian claims to not use it and only Alfred knows how he asks how to properly clean it without causing damage.
Tim never truely gets to show his parents his hobby, not even when his mum goes and he and his father get a little closer. It hurts him naturally, though when he spots an old high school friend at a coffee shop asking for a drink in her keep cup he made her, he decides that his city has given him what he needed. Gotham and its people, his friends and those who watched him grow up, they gave him the acknowledgment and encouragement he wanted from Jack and Janet.
Itâs not perfect, his city isnât, but neither was his first pot.
I am more used to talking to older people than to people my age, I am 15 years old, and of all the friends I had of my age, currently I am only in constant contact with one, however, when it comes to adults, older people in general, it is easier to talk, I guess it's because in my family, I was one of the youngest, most of the people around me are much older.
That's also why I'm used to hearing conversations about politics, disputes at work, corruption, economics, history, there's also the fact that my dad is a man who is already in his 70s, I think...... Anyway, adults are, to put it one way, very serious and literal when speaking, or at least the ones I grew up with, that's why I tend to take literally everything people say to me, I don't understand sarcasm, I don't understand jokes, I don't laugh at jokes, I am used to speaking politely, bad words are frowned upon, I guess they gave me a good habit of being polite, but unfortunately they did not teach me the habit of making an effort.
When Danny told his parents about him being Phantom, he was strapped down to a table and cut open by them. By the time he was saved it was too late, he became a Full Ghost, with it changing because he died a second time, tears constantly flow from his eyes, chains are around his wrists and ankles, leather straps are around his torso, and his logo is no longer seen, just a ripped off part of his hazmat that shows the scar left behind by being cut open.
He doesn't remember much after being saved, just that he had destroyed a lot of things in his grief, Vlad was the one to tell him, and the Fruitloop was in a bad condition when the Halfa came to him. He's the Ghost King, but the council still runs the Infinite Realms, he's just a figure head with a lot of Power and Influence used, all because he doesn't have his human half anymore, he can't make the Infinite Realms better without it, Clockwork told him that with a sadness in his voice.
One thing that Danny can do to make things better is his new power to remove curses by being close to the affected person/object/location, so Clockwork sent Danny to Gotham just as Batman was starting his career as a Vigilante.
Gotham had been cursed a lot in the past, that's why the city is the way it is, Lady Gotham couldn't undo them all herself, so she asked Clockwork, her old friend, for help, he sent Danny, still known as Phantom.
Phantom and Batman first met when Batman had gotten word of a mysterious entity nearby doing something shady, this was Phantom in the middle of removing a curse.
Batman did his usual 'interrogation' tactics, but he was stunned to see a young boy with tears falling from his face, chains on his wrists and ankles, leather straps on his torso and a part of his outfit with a tear in it, showing a autopsy scar.
Phantom had told him what he was doing, and what he is, the Ghost of a Child. This led to Batman seeing if he could help the Ghost move on, all he was told was "I can't move on, she needs help", when asked who 'she' was, all Phantom said was "Gotham" before disappearing.
What Batman didn't know was that he wasn't the only one who was near Phantom, other citizens of Gotham heard what Phantom said to Batman, they believed that Phantom was the Ghost of a Gothamite child who lingers to help the city, they spread the word about what they heard that night.
Over time, Phantom has interacted with many of the big names in Gotham as they appeared, Joker reminds him of Freakshow, but Phantom doesn't attack him, just seeing if playing Jokers games would get the Joker to rethink his ways, thinking Joker is cursed. Before Harleen became Harley, Phantom sought out the Psychiatrist to remember his sister, having told the woman that she sounds like his sister when she helps people. Before Pamela became Ivy, Phantom sought her out to remember his best friend who loved plants. When Croc began to show himself, Phantom seeks him out to talk to him, one of their talks is overhead by citizens, after that talk overheard by the citizens, they try and treat Waylon better. When Scarecrow emerged, Phantom isn't affected by the Fear Gas, but lingers near Crane to remember Fright Knight. Bane almost reminds Phantom of his father, Phantom had cowered during Banes first attack on Gotham with the him nearby, but what Phantom said will stick with the Gothamites and Bad Guys forever.
"Please Dad! Don't hurt me again! Don't put me back on that table!"
After Phantom had said that, the Ghost had run away, leaving Bane, his crew, and many citizens shocked by what Phantom revealed about himself, a child, who was most likely harmed and killed by his own father.
There are others Phantom interacts with. Riddler reminds Phantom of Clockwork, and Phantom both likes and despises Riddler because of that. Grundy is Phantoms regular, as Phantom is drawn to the Zombie because they are the same, undead beings that still linger. Phantom even tries to help the Talons that he runs into, saying that the "Baby Ghosts need to be cleaned of the rotten Ectoplasm in them to be healthy". Leslie reminds Phantom of Frostbite.
When each Robin takes flight, Gotham goes through a positive change in appearance, during Dicks time, it rained less, during Jason's time, there was less Smog in the sky, showing more of the sky during days and nights, when Tim was Robin, Gotham had cleaner air and clearer skies, by the time Damian became Robin, Gotham is as healthy as it could be without the curses affecting it.
Phantom seeks out reporters, running into Vicki Vale during one of her live reports on a attack, he goes up to her, knowing that Gotham's citizens will be watching this broadcast. What Phantom doesn't know, is that both Gotham and its people have grown attached to the Ghost Boy.
"Gotham is healthy, she doesn't need me to help her anymore, it's time for me to go"

âThis you?â
Danny pushed the newspaper down without looking at it, revealing Samâs shitty grin. âThat lost cat is not me, no.â He rolled his eyes. They had been showing him lost pet ads ever since he got back from Gotham. âIsnât that joke getting old, guys?â He kicked his way further into a slouch in the booth as Tucker came back with refilled drinks.
Tucker laughed, and then there was a silence. âDanny? Are you sure this isnât you, man?â He sounded uncertain.
He felt his jaw twitch and he had to tell his friend off. âIs it that funny that thereâs a sad kid out there? Honestly, guys-â Danny opened his eyes fully to roll them and then saw the lost pet ad being brandished in his face. He blinked at it. His brain did a full reboot and he reached out to take the paper.Â
It looked like him, sleeping on the cushion in the batcave. Had they gotten that photo from the security footage? âItâs me.â His voice came out way too high.
Danny pulled the paper over in disbelief and realized that it was a two page ad. âOh wow,â he said faintly. There he was, leaping across the kitchen. And there, that must have been taken by Damian when he fell asleep on the bed. There was a cat toy partially in the frame.
Samâs snorting laughter cut off. âUh.â She kicked him lightly under the table. âIs.. Is that little kid going to be okay?â She asked in a small voice. She sounded like she felt bad for poking fun.Â
Danny felt guilty. He stared at the evidence that Robin was missing his cat terribly and felt like the biggest jackass possible. âShould I go back?â he wondered. He squirmed, pulling a foot up onto the bench to perch on. âI mean⌠How long does a cat live? A few years?â
âTry about twenty,â Tucker said flatly. âI feel bad too, man, but you canât defer admission that long.â
âThough Snitches was clearly not a little kitten, so you could really just give it a couple years,â Sam mused. Both boys stared at her. She blinked. âNot that Iâm suggesting you do that!â She waved her hands at them. âThe longer you stay with him, the harder heâs going to take it when his pet âdiesâ,â she said with finger quotes. âYou did the right thing by leaving as soon as you could.â
âMaybe we could answer it, do a photoshoot, tell him that Danny was your cat or something and heâs come home,â Tucker mused. âHeâd be sad that he couldnât have the cat, but surely it would be better than worrying the cat died, right?â
âWhat are you losers talking about?â Star said, giving their booth a wide berth. âYouâre not hurting cats now, are you, weirdos?â She eyed them like they were gross. âIt would figure.â
âFuck off,â Sam said pleasantly. All three of them gave Star a rude gesture in unison, just like they had practiced. âThat shitâs uncalled for.â
Star sniffled and turned away on her heel, cheer skirt flouncing behind her. A few moments later she clearly reached her table because the sounds of popular kid conversation got a lot louder.
âShe should be a reporter,â Sam said darkly. âI would love for her to get sued for slander.â She snapped open her clutch and began applying even more black eyeliner, as if that would differentiate her from the other girls in the restaurant.
Tucker groaned and pulled his hat down over his eyes in despair. âThatâs gonna be a bad rumor,â he complained.Â
Danny couldnât find it in him to care as much as he usually would. He was still stuck on the fact that Damian had put an ad in the Illinois Times. âDo you think he realized that Snitches got on a highway bus to Illinois?â he hissed, now aware that other people might be listening in. âHow would he know that?â
Sam frowned. Tucker lifted his head and pulled out his phone to search. âThatâs a good question,â he said to himself. He hit buttons rapidly. âUh, same ad is inâŚâ He trailed off. âHold up, hold up, lemme search this backwardsâŚâ Whatever he saw had him raise his eyebrows high, look at Danny in disbelief, and then shake his head slightly. âYou must be a really good cat. I'm kind of jealous.â
âWhat?â Danny hissed. âJust tell me.â
âHey, hey, paws off.â Tucker moved his device further away. âUh, this poor kid- well.â He paused. âPoor is the wrong word. Heâs put ads in newspapers all the way up to Ontario and down to⌠Well, in Mexico at least.â
Danny and Sam stared at him in disbelief. âYouâre fucking with us,â Sam said after a long moment.
Tucker silently shook his head. âThereâs a nationwide Gregâs list ad,â he said grimly. â20 dollars an hour to print and staple missing cat photos to telephone poles. And a private detectiveâs agency on the case, asking for witnesses to come forward.â
Danny put his head in his hands. âI have to go back,â he said, haunted by the responsibility. âI canât let him be this sad.â
âDanny, no.â Tucker said. Sam nodded her agreement.Â
ââŚYeah, thatâs crazy,â he said unconvincingly. He gave a fake laugh. âHeâll get over it.â Danny stared into his drink, watching bubbles. Robin was not going to get over it. That kid loved hard.
âI could use 20 dollars an hour,â Tucker said in a thoughtful tone.
âNo,â Sam said flatly.
Tucker shrugged, smiling slightly. âI wonder how much Iâd get for bringing you back.â He shrugged theatrically. âYou could send me to college, man! Donât you want me to go to college?â
âNoâŚâ Danny said weakly. âI⌠Is that fraud?â Still. Money would be nice.
âGuys, no.â Sam knocked them both in the head with the pile of napkins. âYou canât do that to this little kid. Heâs clearly not well.â
âExactly,â Tucker argued passionately. âImagine how happy he would be to get his cat back! We could reunite him with his pet!â
It was tempting. He felt, like, so bad about how sad Robin was. The little guy had been so proud of his pet. Danny could spare a few years to make a little kid happy, right? It was kind of greedy otherwise.
Danny stared at the bubbles in his drink again, really thinking it over. âI think I would have to fight crime with him,â he said dully. âThatâs a minus.â
âDanny?â Sam rapped the table with her fingers. He looked up to see her pointed eyebrow raise. âWhat are you talking about?â
He hunched his shoulders up. âNothing, nothing,â he lied hastily. He forgot they didnât know. He couldnât dox someoneâs crime fighting identity, though, it would be really unfair.Â
âYou could buy me a house,â Tucker wheedled. Sam hit him.
DP x DC: The Dead Man at the Diner
Danny has a hard time maintaining regular jobs. At this point heâs pretty much nocturnal after years of being attacked at night, and possibly just part of his ghostly nature. Heâs odd, and a basic google search brings up various news articles about him getting into fist fights with the mayor of a small town. He barely passed high school and college was out of the question, so who in their right mind would hire him?
Whatâs a job that would work with his odd hours, doesnât require a college education, and a possible criminal record and a tendency to be ready to throw down is NOT an issue?
Danny is a cook at a 24hour Diner in Gotham
The man just needs to be able to flip a burger and make breakfast food and doesnât mind a gun in the face because heâs well used to it. So what if the robber was dumb enough to pull that shit next to the fryer. If he didnât want something to end up extra crispy he should have stayed out of Dannyâs kitchen
Just think of all the folks he would meet.
Sure, the vigilantes of the city would be obvious and you canât tell me spoiler isnât dragging folks there to eat. Maybe they notice some weird things about the cook, like he doesnât breath, his eyes reflect light like an animalâs, or the time he accidentally cut off a finger and it was fine the next day, or maybe the time a robber shot him and he just... didnât react
Something is weird about that guy
And of course the person I think would love a jersey style diner breakfast at all hours: Harley Quinn
Technically sheâs not supposed to bring the hyenas in, health code and all that, but everyone else is to freaked out to tell her and Danny doesnât care. Frankly he spends his break petting them and they like him because he smells like food.
Okay so the Fentonâs have a family vacation in city with a science convention. They get arrested though they donât know why but arenât worried or complain.
Instead they ask the nice hero (superman) to go make sure their son remembers to take his heart medication or it might spasm. Their daughter would usually do it but sheâs been out like a light since sheâs finished mid terms. They should be in the hotel still sleeping.
Iâm thinking they didnât go to any major cities but it was close enough to one that a big time hero had to stop the disaster the Fenton driving caused (it wasnât just their driving).
Anyways the hero does go and (they gave him the key and trust him to bring it back) check on the kids. Jazz is out and nothing short of her brotherâs distress will wake her. Danny is sleepy and mistakes the hero as his dad with his blurry eyes and half a wake mind and gets coaxed into taking his medicine before going back to sleep.
Danny is pretty mangled from his accident but he looks much better now. The scars went up to his face and he can still kind of see out of his weaker eye, his arm has trouble sometimes but heâs okay.
He needs medicine for his heart but other wise fine.
Of course not talking about his ghost half.
Do his parents know? Nope! Would they love him? Yep!
Would they break out of jail to protect him? Absolutely! Would Jazz have her dadâs strength and use it to protect her brother? Yes!!!
They are a loving family and Iâm tired of ignoring it!!!!
Jazz is tall, has her dadâs strength and the anti creep stick. Would her dad be a meta? He doesnât know what that is!
Is Amity in a pocket that technically interacts with the outside world but still behind in the timeline? Maybe! They donât know what a Justice league is or modern news but they can go explore the world and think everything is just weird like that.
They donât know that they are the weird ones.
Something like that.
Today, for some reason, I feel very happy, full of energy, today I participated a lot in class, today my friend did not come, but I did not feel alone, today I talked to them, I didn't feel upset, today feels so good, today feels so light, nothing special has happened, yesterday I took a nap in the afternoon, is that the reason for my happiness? My energy? It feels so good, I feel so good to sleep what I need, not much, not little, just what is necessary, or maybe just what feels right, when was the last time I felt like this? When was the last time I slept properly? When? ........... It does not matter, today I feel good, today I am happy.
Everyone knows who Phantom is. He was one of the very first heroes though he inexplicably chose to dedicate his life (metaphorically) to micromanaging the hell out of some random town no one has ever heard of. He's a specialist hero, only really useful for ghost stuff. He comes every time someone contacts him for help but it's only happened a few times in all of his years of operation.
Then, kid heroes become a thing. Robin, once perpetually hidden beneath the shadow of the bat emerges into the metropolis sun just in time to make the front page.
When Batman's child-raising skills are called into question, Kid Flash is brought out at a press release by Flash to show that these exceptional children are around. They just aren't common knowledge for their own health (aside from the villains - being a child star wrecks your brain).
A few villains do come forward and say "no, the sidekicks will go out on their own if their hero doesn't let them. And they have all the powers and none of the restraint. Please don't separate them."
(Batman and Robin are both very flattered that all their rogues think they have powers. Robin is â¨glowing⨠with pride.)
Cyborg calls Robin at 3am. He asks if he's seen the new 'BooTube' page.
Phantom has set up his own website. It's a dark and moody ripoff of YouTube with 1 channel. His.
Introduction Video: Transcript Hi guys, I can't lie to you, I was as up-in-arms as anyone when I saw what people are now calling "The Robin Reveal". But then I remembered that I started my hero work when I was mentally and physically fourteen years old...
Danny doesn't mention he was also chronologically 14 at the time. Secret identities and all.
...and I had no mentor, no training and no backup. It was just me and two humans, neither of whom even had powers at that time. I understand the call, in a way that none of the non-hero people criticising you could ever hope to comprehend. I'm glad to see most of you fellow child-heroes have an experienced adult watching your back. But if you don't. If there's even one of you out there who need a mentor, consider Amity Park open for business, and consider adding my number to your speedial. I'm not like those people in interviews saying "Oh, someone needs to help the children!" I am helping you, I am helping you whenever you need with whatever you want.
The ghost swallows and seemingly forces down his brimming sincerity.
And for those of you who do already have backup? Consider checking back here. I'm going over my old reports from my first few years on the streets to see what I most needed to hear, and what I wished I knew sooner. Hopefully no one else will have to learn what I know the hard way.
You know how to fight, this channel won't be for that. This is about coping with secret identities, and the messed up situations that can only happen to a vigilante or hero.
Anyways, the first video is already ready to be edited so in a few days I'll be back here to discuss what you do when you've been cloned. How to deal with that emotionally and physically. My clone isn't very well known outside of my town but I think she'll add a great perspective!
Within weeks, without his knowledge, Danny is somehow remote-mentoring heroes of all ages.
I know the fandom had named Valerie's ghost hunters identity "Red Huntress" (and I fucking love that name, don't get me wrong, it's rad as hell) but I had a thought about a potential other name she might have ended up with.
Specifically I'm imagining Danny giving her a hero name completely by accident.
Like, they're fighting a ghost together. It's low stakes, more just a bit of fun before they go grab a shake at the Nasty Burger or something. Neither of them are on edge or really thinking, this is basically just a quick chore they have to take care of before they can hang out. They've been joking and throwing banter back and forth, all that fun stuff.
And it's so chill and low stakes that Danny, in typical Danny fashion, isn't really thinking.
He's about to do something to show off or make a terrible pun or something and wants to make sure she's paying attention and goes to shout to her.
But uh... he uh... he forgot until he's already got the "Val" part out that she also has a secret identity and at this point watching them fight ghosts is a pass time for the people of Amity Park so they have a pretty big audience. One that includes the news.
So, now panicking, Danny tries to cover the only way he knows how:
He Puns it out.
And so, Amity Park's ghost hunting hero Valkyrie is named.
If we want to double down on Danny's "Hero identity name is just a slight change to his civilian name she could be Valkyrie Red (in place of Valerie Gray) though I think Red Valkyrie flows a little better lol
