Hello my friend, we are Jabalia Rehabilitation Society is the only institution in the northern Gaza Strip that provides services to a large group of people with disabilities, especially those with hearing disabilities. It is considered a center for health, psychological and educational support in Jabalia camp that is no less important than government institutions. It is considered one of the contributing and supporting institutions alongside the government health and educational centers in the camp and shares the burden and community services with those centers.

Since the beginning of the war on Gaza on October 7, the institution has been a center for sheltering thousands of displaced civilians, especially those with disabilities and their families who benefit from the institution's services. However, after the Israeli occupation forces entered Jabalia camp for the second time in the war on May 12, they destroyed and burned all the buildings and facilities of the association after it had been a shelter for thousands of displaced people.

Indeed, the northern Gaza Strip was destroyed and the institution was completely destroyed and became out of service,

and the residents were forced to move to the southern Gaza Strip.

But we actually started the association's activities in the southern Gaza area since the invasion of Jabalia camp and the destruction of the association the first time.

Now, through the campaign we launched through your platform, we will intensify our efforts to provide emergency services and relief assistance to the largest number of displaced persons with disabilities in the southern Gaza area.

We also work with some partner institutions in the same field in the displacement areas in the southern Gaza Strip.

If the Israeli army's military operation in northern Gaza ends, we will work to activate the institution's services as soon as possible to provide them to its beneficiaries.

I have been living with an early awareness since her birth of the inevitability of death from this disease, accompanied by the fear of waking up to losing her and losing her life. My little girl is certain that she is heading towards death in the absence of treatment possibilities and the availability of her requirements and that the expected end of her illness journey. I ask God for everyone who helps me not to complain of pain. Sickness, you do not know it. When sickness visits you, the world becomes smaller before your eyes, and all your wishes become insignificant in the face of health, and to see your child playing and enjoying good health. I’m Hanan Alanqar, a divorced woman from the war-torn Gaza. I’m living with my brother, Jihad, who battles multiple chronic illnesses, along with his wife, Ola, and their ten-year-old son, Yousef. It’s my heartfelt commitment to care for Jihad, especially as he navigates these health challenges without much support. Together, we’re finding strength in each other amidst our struggles.

Jihad is a brave man facing unimaginable challenges at just 42 years old. He lives with multiple chronic illnesses, including High Blood Pressure, Diabetes, and Celiac Disease. Due to health complications, he has lost his eyesight, his kidneys have failed, requiring him to undergo dialysis three times a week, and due to osteoporosis, his legs were broken which left him unable to move.

Sadly, the war has only deepened our suffering. Our house was destroyed, forcing us to seek refuge in Southern Gaza. We now live in a tent, struggling to find stability and safety. Being the most vulnerable member of our family, Jihad's health has worsened under these inhumane conditions, as he needs special treatment and nutrition which are not available.

Without a source of income, Jihad can neither afford the costs of transportation for essential dialysis treatments nor provide for his family's basic needs. Hence, he relies on the generosity of compassionate people to help provide for his family.

Jihad urgently needs to travel abroad for critical medical treatment and to ensure the safety and survival of his family. Every moment that passes deepens his suffering and heightens the risks faced by his family. Unfortunately, due to ongoing war and border closure, people are forced to pay exorbitant fees to escape Gaza, with costs reaching as high as $10,000 per person.
