I know I’m late for the party, but here is my highly specific favorite ship dynamics.
Still Enemies. Still Lovers.
Can you tell us more about the magic skills? Like infliction, transmania etc
Hooo okay, so I sat on this one for a few days because I wanted to decide if I wanted to bring this up before it comes up in a released form, and ultimately decided sure, though it could be considered spoilers. So that’s warning number one.
Warning number two is that I’m currently working at the alpha level. I’m really trying to emphasize that because certain elements of this list could change when I reach the editing process, or even mid-way through the alpha if I feel like it’s not working well enough. I’ve done a good amount of planning, but this is my first time putting a game together on my own. So. yeah. Keep those things in mind.
On to the fun stuff!
There are two primary trees of magic available to the MC: Blood Magic and Mind Magic. The MC is locked into either one of these trees or the other based on their choices in the first chapter, though they may be able to train up skills on the other tree later down the road.
Blood Magic includes three major skills:
Healing, which should be sort of self explanatory I think
Infliction, which is the flip side of healing, and may verge into full-blown necromancy. This school is primary concerned with encouraging disease and rot to inflict damage.
Transanima, which is the ability to transform themselves (or parts of themselves) and other living creatures into other living creatures. The ability cannot cross realms (a squirrel cannot become a Brownie, for example) but within the bounds of their realm a creature can become anything if enough power is used (a squirrel CAN become an elephant if you try hard enough.) Transformations come with varying levels of permanency.
Mind Magic includes three major skills:
Evocation, which is concerned with manipulating the cardinal elements for one’s own benefit. Fireballs, water bending, etc. all fall into this category.
Illusion, which is concerned with casting both complete fabrications and changing the appearance (though not the physicality) of objects on people.
Conjuration, which could also be termed “summoning.” This ability allows you to pull non-hostile, non-sentient Fae of a range of sizes through the veil to aid you.
There are also three other skills available to the MC of either tree:
Alchemy, which is essentially what River is doing in chapter Two with the spray bottle and bracelets. IE, using a mixture of physical ingredients and primary rules like Affinity to create tools.
Telekinesis, which is the ability to move objects around you by creating invisible gravity wells and forces.
Empathy, which in the MC will manifest only as the ability to push their emotions upon others. So Pushing empathy, but not receptive empathy.
Hello, whoever smart enough to read the epitaph of my everlasting – as long as it’s engraved on the dumped piece of chewed paper - memories. It's so kind of you to visit me in my loneliness.
I bear no name, but a tag, like an untamed beast incapable of having a family who would nurture and love me unconditionally back. I am The Harbinger, but your kin would likely call me “seer” – and this I do. I don’t wish to torment your rising, at this pick, curiosity any longer, as my intent is rather simple – to warn; and your’s will be to prevent.
1000 years ago, long before your parents’ grandparents were even born, there was a vivid in its rich colors world. There were organic trees and blooming flowers, tweeting birds who didn't gawk at corpses, smiling people not lurking at the shadows of restless night. Mother nature didn’t lash at wayward children yet, - people always have been taking everything for granted, which in turn ended up in otherworldly demise, which you, my anonymous friend, is witnessing.
Why, you would ask me, then I’m sitting under the canopy of rotting inn, writing you things you already have known the whole life? That, my dear, is the thing – when one door closes another opens: the item attached to this letter is more than just a pendant. It is but a hope – not for my generation anymore, but for your’s future one. The necklace contained with something vile, raw in its power, ready to rip and claw its way to the very fabric of the universe. In its intricate patterns lies magic – every soul has a little bit of it, did you know? Oh, how many fell victim – no, heroes – to the science, to fill up the jewelry with enough of enchantment to save what needs to be saved, to help who needs to be helped.
Use it, my lucky dearest, unleash the potential and go back in time, as you need to find The Silent Forest in its true sacre glory – it’s not a legend, child, 300 year before this exact moment there, it stood, looming above citizens. So go, child, run into the woods where, among the canopy of sturdy branches, shall be a prophet - seek help from them, gather allies and run, run again to the end of your journey, for it would be glorying, for it would be the dying of an Unknown. There, in the end, an Unknown would thank you with gentle breeze of somewhat familiar voice: "It was so kind of you to visit me in my loneliness".

Glory of the Damned is a high-fantasy/romance interactive fiction made with Twine. In this game, you play as a magic user with a troubled past who joins the Selection; the capital kingdom’s competition to search for the strongest magic users in all the lands. Learn more about the illness that’s been torturing the mages and find out its cure also while planning to confront the man who ruined your life.
It’s been 100 years since the Corruption, an illness that affected magic users exclusively, started claiming the lives of many people though out Dirinha. No one knew where it came from and no cure could be found; this caused many people to give up on learning magic in fear of losing their life.
Despite this, magic was still an important element and while there are those who have given up on it, there are a few who continue to practice it. Whether it was for a noble cause, to be rewarded generously with fame and fortune or mere curiosity, magic persisted. Those brave— some would say, foolish— individuals were invited to the capital. The Kingdom of Liestrum holds a competition every 15 years to find the strongest magic users and offer them the position of Royal Mage and serve the kingdom.
Many mages join due to the fortune the kingdom offers. You, on the other hand, will be using the Selection as a way to get back to the man who destroyed your life. You’ll take everything from him, just like he did to you.

A scream in the dead of night. A missing engineer. And a highly guarded breakthrough. Something woke up in the permafrost way north. Something man was never supposed to know. Take on the role as a for-hire investigator, sent by a private company to sort things out before the project bleeds even more funds. Dartun Station is an interactive story heavily inspired by works such as The Thing, The Invasion of The Body Snatchers and some aspects of Lovecraftian Horror.
The Icarus Plagues [WIP]
“I’ve been here far too many times, but it never feels quite right. My surroundings feel too alive to be the scene of a death. I can hear the mechanical whirring of the clockwork horses and the wheels of the copper carts they pull rattle against the cobblestone, as well as the music blaring loudly from the many clubs nearby.”
In The Icarus Plagues, you’re one of the Icarus Plagues in the steampunk city of Lanston.
When an important politician dies, it becomes your responsibility to find the soul eating Siren responsible, but when a certain monster comes into your life, it begins to seem like there’s more going on behind the scenes than you thought.
Work with the Plagues in order to control the Siren population in the city; side with the Academy and the Sirens in order to bring the Plagues to their knees and watch them burn; or try your hand at playing both sides for your own gain.
Characters:
The game feature 4 love interests, one of which is customisable to an extent. Your relationship with these characters and their thoughts on your choices will determine how long they stick around, and maybe even if they make it out alive.
Baxter/Blanche Donovan, a fellow Plague and your easy-going partner. Donovan has spent their whole life fighting for what they think is right, but maybe it’s time you offer them a new perspective.
Alex Clarke, a clockwork mechanic. Alex has had a close working relationship with both the Plagues and the Academy for years, repairing equipment and offering more difficult to acquire weaponry. It may take a little convincing, but they can serve as a powerful ally if given the chance.
Cecil/Cecelia Price, a gun for hire who has spent too much of their life trying to escape the grips of the lower city. They’ll help for a price, but perhaps you can convince them that they’re allowed to let people get close.
Cassidy/Cassius Gray, a Siren, Academy agent, and your “guardian angel”. Cass went missing three years ago, but has suddenly resurfaced with an Academy badge and an insistence that they mean you no harm. But Cass is a rogue Siren, the very thing that the Plagues seek to destroy.
