can’t believe the duology’s over! I’m getting the same bittersweet feeling I get when a great book is over 🥹 honestly some of the best writing & plots I’ve ever come across in fanfics and definitely one of my absolute caitvi faves. I'm sitting down to continue writing the next chapter of "Tethered," and I am thinking about how interesting these cities are, and I really want to DM a D&D campaign in this setting. Just a cool, low magic steampunk era setting. I could homebrew some interesting ways shimmer could be integrated into the system as a potion that is both awesome and terrible for you. I know some homebrew campaigns have been made, maybe one day I'll check them out or just make my own. Gotta tackle my epic saga campaign first!

out of curiosity — do you think you’ll ever do a chapter in Low Lays the Devil in Me or a separate fic detailing Vi’s POV while in Stillwater? (Not that I’m complaining about a Cait-focused fic — she’s my fave character & I love angsty storylines in her POV!)

I don't know if I'll do a POV chapter of Vi in Stillwater. I do promise that her time in there will not be swept under the rug! I could either do a POV chapter a bit later or do a separate fic like I did for some of the non-Vi centered scenes in "Heart Made of Glass: Perspectives." Since I'm making up 75% of this as a I go long, it's hard to say yes or no explicitly to anything. Not ruling it out, but no promises either.

“You’re staring,” Caitlyn muttered quietly to Vi as the adults examined Jayce’s chalkboard of runes. He was walking them through how he wanted to use them to try to communicate to the Arcane tether. Vi smirked. “And? You’re hot, princess.” Caitlyn blushed and bit back a smile as she ducked her head. Vi swore she could practically feel Caitlyn’s heart skip inside her own chest. She sighed contentedly, resting her cheek on her hand to continue her examination of Caitlyn’s profile, which was much more interesting than the magic mumbo jumbo being discussed.

Slight Spoilers for Ch. 8 of "Tethered" Below

A lot of people have been liking how Sevika chewed out Heimerdinger and validated Vi in the latest chapter of "Tethered." I don't really share personal life stuff on here, but I'll say that Sevika's speech, in a very small way, was inspired by my own mom going off on an educator who directly told my mom, my sister (who was 11 at the time), and I that my sister never get into college because of how bad her test anxiety was. My mom basically sounded like Sevika did, and then, when we were back in the car, essentially said to my sister, "Don't listen to anything she just said about you. If you want to get into college, we'll figure it out. Even if it's hard, if you want to do it, then we'll find a way. But never let anyone tell you that you can't do something just because of something like anxiety."

My sister now has a master's degree and is a school counselor who helps underprivileged kids get into college. So, yeah. Long story short, in some ways, Sevika in this fic is very, very loosely inspired by my badass mom.
