The scientists are close to figuring out what’s wrong with us, and I’m sure I’ll be back in no time.” The younger girl’s lower lip trembled. “Can I come with you?” Caitlyn’s own heart squeezed in sympathy as Vi sighed. No one was allowed to know about the tether, and Caitlyn knew if it hadn’t been for the Arcane, Vi would bring her sister back to Piltover with her. Now that she could feel how much Vi loved and missed her family, especially Powder, Caitlyn was starting to understand Vi’s resentment of the tether.

Caitlyn felt Irelia sigh contentedly, and the pulling stopped. “Compromising with the tether,” she answered. “I don’t know about you, but I’m exhausted after today and would like to sleep instead of fighting it. I’m not saying we should let it do what it did last night, but maybe this will tide it over.” Vi hummed uncertainly, but Caitlyn felt her relax against the mattress again. “Fine. But the little parasite better not try anything.” Caitlyn tutted in disapproval at the nickname. “You’re incorrigible.”

I've read chapter 10 of Low Lays the Devil in Me and it's been one of the most interesting because of the information that has my attention and how Mohan's role will be, will it be a great help or a disaster because of his sense of justice.

Like:

1: This plan was devised by Cassandra, Vi, Caitlyn, Vander's family, Grayson and half of the council (Shoola and Mel) in collaboration with Noxian spies, a clandestine operation (the stories remind me a lot of the Black Ops games if you know the Call of Duty saga).

2: Will the next chapter be about Vi and her time in Stillwater and Section 41 or Room 41? (correct me if I'm not wrong).

3: Will there be a romance between Jayce and Mel like it happened in S1 of Arcane?

4: Will Renata Glasc (if you know the character) appear in the future?

1. I haven’t played COD in literally 20 years so I’ll have to take your word for it 🤣

2. Next chapter will not be from Vi’s POV at all.

3. Not sure if there will be an actual romance or just have it be a running gag.

4. I don’t think I’ll have Renata Glasc in this fic, but not ruling it out. We already have some enemies established so not sure if I want to add another one at this point. We’ll have to see.

Writing is such a weird hobby. You have these characters in your head that talk to each other and you write down what they say while waiting in the drive thru at McDonald’s because if you don’t you’ll go crazy.

Omfg don't look at me. What was supposed to be a cute little one shot has turned into what will be over 10,000 words of pure indulgence 🫣🫣 Hope to have it up before I go to bed but no promises.

I swear on Janna I'm not abandoning Low Lays the Devil in Me, but I have to write a CaitVi one shot inspired by this. I'm already 3000 words into it and it really only will a one shot. Think of it as like a little balm to the angst in Low Lays the Devil 😂😂

She inhaled sharply, feeling her heart protesting the lack of oxygen in her chest—that was the only reason it was pounding, Vi told herself. The Zaunite cleared her throat and said. “You look good, Cupcake.” Vi mentally cringed at how awkward she sounded. Caitlyn let out a light laugh. “Thank you, Vi. You clean up rather handsomely yourself,” she said, not even bothering to hide the way she slowly looked down and back up Vi’s suit. More than Vi’s ears turned hot.

I started rereading today and saw the aside of Cassandra being jealous of the chemtech battle bots. I’m curious, do you have any plans of that get her, powder, and Jayce in the same room together? I foresee the ultimate chembot if so.

I don’t have any plans for it but I’m not ruling it out completely. If I don’t do it in this one, there’s a chance I will in the sequel. It would be pretty epic if they built a bot together though. They’d destroy everyone 🤣 so glad you’re rereading it 🥹

I am really loving the writing challenge this CaitVi Pirate AU is presenting, but at the same time, I feel like it’s the most coherent I’ve felt my writing has been since I got back into 6 months ago. It’s a bit more emotionally charged than I was anticipating, but not in a bad way. I’m almost done with chapter 4, which will be up tonight, and then I’ll write a chapter of “Tethered.
