I lurk when it comes to your fics, but just want to say that I very much enjoy them, and your pure excitement/enjoyment for writing them is really wholesome. I'm kicking my feet over here for you đ
âI saw an article that you got back from abroad a few months ago. Did you stay in one place or did you travel around?â Caitlyn absently rubbed at her forearm as she answered. âI went to several places, but for most of the time I was in Ionia.â âOh? With your dadâs family?â âI saw them, of course, but I stayed in the mountains on the northern part of the main island,â she explained. Vi furrowed her brow slightly as Caitlyn shifted, appearing almost uncomfortable as she didnât elaborate. Her heart reached out to comfort the other girl and a fresh wave of pain flowed through her at the brick wall she was met with instead.

Vi and Caitlyn go for drinks and Vi has a difficult conversation with Sevika.
If anyone is wondering, a great album to listen to while reading "Low Lays the Devil in Me" is the official soundtrack to "Candela Obscura" by Colm R. McGuinness. It's definitely good for a more seedy underbelly in a steam punk Victorian era setting, which is perfect for this fic's grittier scenes. Plus it's just dope as hell. I've listened to it on repeat when writing Caitlyn working as "Officer Kiramman."
I know I just put out the new chapter for "Tethered," but I'm extra excited for the next one. It's a completely new one, besides the prologue, of this rewrite.
The tattooed burglar swung her legs over the balcony railing with confident, graceful movement and turned so that she was facing Caitlyn. âThanks again for not shooting me,â she said with a crooked smile. Caitlyn felt her breath hitch ever so slightly at how handsome this burglar was and prayed that the other woman hadnât heard it. âThanks for potentially saving my dissertation,â she replied. There was an awkward pause and Caitlyn got the bizarre feeling that the woman didnât actually want to leave. Caitlyn was surprised that she didnât want her to leave, either. It lasted only a moment before the stranger lowered herself down partially. She looked up at Caitlyn one more time with a more serious expression. âYou should lock your balcony. The next burglar may not be as nice.â

Inspired by this post. I'll get back to writing "Low Lays the Devil in Me" soon, but I think someone needs to take my keyboard away from me because I have a problem. And bring me an ice pack for my poor hands.
Enjoy this 12,500 word indulgence.
Posting cuz I canât be the only person who hadnât thought of this. If you toggle the speak screen option under accessibilities on an iPhone, you can put your fanfic in reader mode or download it and have Siri read it to you with the screen off. As someone who doesnât need to use this feature, I just never put it together until I started writing fanfiction again after an 8 year break.
Itâs not exactly like an audiobook in that, for example, Siri canât tell when a word like âokayâ should sound bright and happy or serious and reluctant, so it can be jarring. But itâs super handy for writing as it will help you finding missing or repeated words or help you come up with ideas while youâre driving or something. Itâs amazing! I feel dumb I never thought of it sooner.
Petition to make the âpostâ and âpreviewâ button on ao3âs chapter section in two different places or two different colors or something to differentiate them more. The number of times Iâve almost clicked post instead of preview is a lot đ¤Ł
Damn it all. I am so torn. I don't really want to rewrite "Tethered," but Caitlyn's journey throughout Runeterra that she experienced is such a cool idea that to waste it on an exposition or even just a flashback chapter upsets me. And it's inspiring me to do a whole new story with full world building and exploring the magic of Runeterra that would explain the tether more.
I am deeply, deeply tempted to rewrite the story and have it be alternating perspectives between Vi and Caitlyn and change some things now that I know where the story is going to have it make more sense. Ugh!
Edit: I also know that a lot of people really like this story and I would hate to disappoint them, but I honestly think I could write a much better version of it that would be much more satisfying.
I just had a revelatory idea for Low Lays the Devil in Me and I am super inspired to write but my poor hands need a break after the looooong one shot I wrote in 24 hours. God damn it. đ
Cassandra hummed. âYou mentioned before that you are not trusting a Kiramman, you are trusting me as Cassandra. Would my last name have anything to do with why Caitlyn was upset after the Remembering?â Vi felt her heart squeeze painfully. âWhat does that have to do with anything?â âBecause I am her mother who loves her dearly,â Cassandra stated very simply. Vi looked away from her, the pain of her and Caitlynâs conversation on the bridge that night clawed at her throat. âIt wouldnât be fair to her for me to hate her name and be with her,â she confessed quietly. âSheâs an honest person, who loves people deeply. I donât know if I could return that kind of love after everything Iâve been through because of people like you, or how you used to be.â

Heyyy I love your fic thank you so much for it
I was just wondering does silco not exist in this universe?
As of right now, no. If that changes, his name will appear in the character tags. Glad you love it! đ
