Okay, the next chapter is done but I still need to edit and I’ve run out of time to do that. I can probably get that done tonight or early tomorrow. We’ll see how work goes. I gotta say, I’m pretty proud of how it turned out 😁
Cassandra hummed. “You mentioned before that you are not trusting a Kiramman, you are trusting me as Cassandra. Would my last name have anything to do with why Caitlyn was upset after the Remembering?” Vi felt her heart squeeze painfully. “What does that have to do with anything?” “Because I am her mother who loves her dearly,” Cassandra stated very simply. Vi looked away from her, the pain of her and Caitlyn’s conversation on the bridge that night clawed at her throat. “It wouldn’t be fair to her for me to hate her name and be with her,” she confessed quietly. “She’s an honest person, who loves people deeply. I don’t know if I could return that kind of love after everything I’ve been through because of people like you, or how you used to be.”

The Harrowing: (Rated M) Pirate AU; Pirate captain Vi and Piltovan Commander Caitlyn Kiramman are bitter rivals who have spent years crossing paths in Caitlyn's effort to thwart Vi's piracy. After entire crews of ships throughout the seas begin to vanish, leaving behind nothing but empty vessels, the Council of Piltover and the pirate haven of Bilgewater call a truce to uncover the reason behind the mysterious disappearances. Vi and Caitlyn must work together to end this plague before it spreads to the mainland. Can they set aside their differences, or will their rivalry lead to the end of the world as they know it? (Plot heavy, focus on world building, slow burn, enemies to lovers, WIP)
"I Will Give You my Rebel Heart" Series: (Rated M) A canon divergence AU about Vi and Caitlyn meeting as teenagers and becoming entangled in the ever growing divide between Zaun and Piltover. They do what they can to help end the corruption of their home, slowly falling in love through it all. (Plot heavy, focus on world building, slow burn, 350,000 words. 2 parts; Completed)
Tethered: (Rated M—might change) A canon divergence AU where teenagers Vi and Caitlyn become magically tethered together after an Arcane explosion, which results in them not being allowed to be more than 15 feet away from each other. As the tether evolves, more than just magic begins to bond the two girls together and soon, Cait and Vi wonder if they truly want to get rid of it. (Relationship focus, rated M; slightly enemies to lover. WIP)
Burglars, Books, and Balconies: (Rated M) A modern AU one shot where Caitlyn catches a pink haired burglar breaking into her apartment and is shocked when the woman offers her advice on her dissertation research she had lying out. (Cute, funny, fluff. Completed)
Upcoming Plans for Fics: Divorce AU (possible, not committed to the idea yet)
I am feeling things. *screams into a pillow*
Maybe one day I’ll do an AU where Felicia lives and Caitlyn meets her. What a dynamic that would be

Writing tip to myself: try to sleep on a finished chapter before posting if it's late. I almost posted one at 2 am last night (which I have before and been happy with) but something didn't feel right and so I just slept on it. Looking at it now, I love what I wrote, but the "off" feeling was it's not placed in the right spot in the story. I'll use it later, but now I'll have to change up the chapter contents a little, which I'm already loving where it's going instead of what was going to happen. I think you guys will like it :D and what I will use later, as well.
I'm 1500 words into the next chapter of "Low Lays the Devil in Me" and I'm just so excited about this story after the short break from it. I love "Tethered," but this cute little Romeo and Juliet steampunk spy fic is just so juicy and fun to write!! And since we're coming up on the last bit of this wild ride, it's even more fun!
I love writing 🥰
I know I just put out the new chapter for "Tethered," but I'm extra excited for the next one. It's a completely new one, besides the prologue, of this rewrite.
I'm already three chapters into the new "Tethered" rewrite (since I can copy and paste a lot of it right now, it's going by very quickly), and it's already, in my opinion, a more interesting story. I think I will keep the alternative POV as I solidify the kind of story I want to tell. Hopefully you guys like the changes. <3
I have never, in my life, believed I would ever actually complete even 1 long-form fanfic, let alone the 2 I have now completed as of today. If you look at my fanfics before this, it's a few one-shots and a WIP that'll never get completed. I am usually not one to talk about being proud of something I did, but I will absolutely say it today. Writing this series was creatively fulfilling, an absolute joy (and at times, a headache) to write, and one of the craziest things in writing I've ever accomplished.
Thank you to everyone who left me such kind words on this site and in the comments. You are all amazing ❤️💙
In a rare moment of self-plugging: for anyone who wants it, I'll leave a link below. This is an almost 350,000-word, 2-fic series of an episode 1 canon-divergence (with some major liberties taken with canon). It's an alternative, slow-burn story of what could have happened if Hextech was never invented, Zaun and Piltover's clash was the focus, with Caitlyn and Vi meeting and falling in love as teenagers who are caught in the middle of it all.
Almost like a steampunk Romeo and Juliet spy/revolution story, in a way. ❤️💙

“She already feels really bad, okay. You don’t need to make it worse,” she spat, sitting up and looking Cassandra in the eye with a stubborn furrow of her brow. “Vi, it’s okay,” Caitlyn whispered, but she ignored her and just glared at Cassandra. The woman met her gaze, but narrowed her eyes as they darted back and forth between the two teenagers suspiciously. “You two are getting on strangely well considering what you said when I was here last,” Vander observed, also looking at them curiously. Neither of the girls said anything. People knew about their shared emotions, but talking about it with others seemed almost wrong. Too personal. Vi looked at Caitlyn and they both sent through the tether a mutual understanding to not discuss it with others unless they had to.

Vander and Cassandra are not pleased with their daughters. More experiments are done on the tether.
