I didn't expect to love writing "Tethered" as much as I am! This Arcane bond between Caitlyn and Vi is so much fun to explore as is the more antagonistic relationship between them. An enjoyable deviation from Low Lays the Devil where they're madly in love 😂

A scene from a reverse au in a modern setting. A zaunite Caitlyn and a piltovan Vi's first meeting (whether they swapped in a way that makes Vi a Kiramman + Cait Vander's kid or if The kirammans are zaunite and Vi and Co are piltovan is up to you). Possibly in a bar where Caitlyn is the bartender

Forgive me if the prompt is not written in a way that makes the most sense, I was struggling with how to word it as I haven't really written a prompt before.

CaitVi Fic Update

I'll do my best to get one more chapter out this weekend, but I really want to make sure I get this next one in particular right. I work weekends and I have an overnight trip planned Sunday-Monday, so there might not be another update until next week. Trust me everyone, it'll be worth it!

I figure posting over 75,000 words in two weeks has earned me a little leeway and good will 😅🤣 maybe I'll post a snippet to keep you guys fed until it's finished, but no promises

Writing Rant

"Write a political intrigue in-universe CaitVi fic," my brain says. "Write and post 60,000 words in less than two weeks," my brain says.

"Have a huge gala scene with lots of characters and advance the intrigue and have Caitlyn and Vi be each other's date to it, so there's gotta be some tension, but also don't forget the plot, oh and make it opulent and majestic, but be sure that Vi has conflicted feelings about being at such a party because she's from Zaun, but also make sure her and Cassandra have some great moments, too. BUT DON'T FORGET THE PLOT!"

I just saw that "Heart Made of Glass, My Mind of Stone" has surpassed 2000 kudos 😱😱😱 That's an absolutely wild number, and I can't wrap my head around the fact that many people have enjoyed my writing. Okay, for real this time, I plan on having the next chapter of "Low Lays the Devil in Me" out either late tonight (US time) or tomorrow morning, but most likely tomorrow. I'm happy with how it's turning out, and it's a nice little set-up chapter for the last arc of our story. Sorry it's taken me longer than planned, but it's coming along! I'm about 4000 words in and maybe have about 1000 words left, but alas, I must work.

I will let you guys know now that there will not be a sequel to this fic. I already have the ending planned and have had the same scene planned since the first chapter of this fic. It's been a lot of fun to write, but it will be a complete story that ends this series nicely, if I may be so bold as to say so.
