She is reading Neverwhere, and the octopus is reading a book about idioms.
"It really is a great day to read at the park," he mused, pleased as punch.
An admirer...?
Believe it or not, this started off as a piece inspired by Usagi Drop. That show must be the epitome of all things pure and innocent, and yet, somehow along the way, tentacles tainted the idea and churned this piece up.
I guess it could be worse.
I wonder if pants like that exist.
Bwaaaah~!
The problem with dragons is they tend to extend their wings off the page. I tell them to keep it down, but they won't be bossed around. Relax, dragon!
I think I'll leave it at this for now. I Have tentacles to take care of.
In the City Under the Sea
Working title? This one was fun, even if the tea shop I was in reached a decibel of over 9000. Jengga + high school kids + caffeine on a Saturday night = @_@
Thank you earphones.
Also, now available as a 16x20 inch print:

Hwe hwe hwe. Rough animation.
Scene I:
Wherein a narwhal feels dejected, in a bar full of humans who only see her as a horned aberration - a freak show. And yet... someone approaches her.
"There is more to you than just a horn. I know it." ...
As per requested, yet another tentacled beauty is up on the shop.

There have been some requests for the octopus umbrella as a print. Prim and proper ladies from the future, no doubt. As I am a gentleman octopus, I have made this possible.
I can personally send away a print measuring 10 x 8 inches, with a white border filling up the 11 x 8.5 paper. It will be on glossy premium photo paper by Kodak, so it's good stuff. (see images)

In the near dystopian future, proper ladies will carry octopus umbrellas. Will that then make it more utopian? Yes. Because that’s how octopuseseseses will take over the human race. They will pretend to be umbrellas and whisper into our ears while we blissfully stroll around, none-the-wiser.
Hehe. Just a quickie animation of the octogirl for kicks. Fun fun.
Maybe I'll do a better treatment later. ^_^
Would you go out with a tentacle person? What if they weren't slimy?

It rained here all of a sudden, and staying home and drawing tentacles suddenly seemed like a good idea. Good thing too, as I probably wouldn’t have drawn this at my usual boba tea place.

"When I get to the bottom I go back to the top of the slide, where I stop and I turn and I go for a ride..."
That's the song the octopus is rocking.
I don't really skate but I do love paint on wood.
Available now at the shop! You can even customize the board type!

Toink! And the set is complete! (for now) I think it's ready. No? Maybe I am being hasty. I will check again later before putting it up on the shop. Besides, it's below 59° F in my room which gives me an excuse to dig a burrow in my bed and just watch anime or something. That's what below 59° does. In the absence of a female companion, of course.
(cricket sounds)
This blog is probably not helping sales. hm.
Anyway! Hope it's liked.
Update - Uploaded to shop! -> Café Octo
This is how I feel like at the moment. Like I just had 6 shots of espresso; like there's a full moon out there; like my blood is stirring; like I'm in 7th grade and I see that girl I like heading my way in this narrow hallway gahh look a penny on the floor pickitup! Okay, that still happens now. ( ._.);;
Well whatever it is, it's weird because it's not like I've been sitting in my usual boba place drinking some factory strength cofftea concoction. At least it got me sketching. I think that piece will fit in nicely with the ones already in the shop, yah?
We shall see!
Tomorrow.. ( z_z)
The Octopus Triptych. The set as it should be. I'm hoping I can shove these up some cafe's around here. I mean, I did drink a lot of coffea/tea while doing all this at their tables.
I think I'll make one sitting in a cup of coffee. ^_^
Hope you like 'em. What's that? You REALLY like them? Well now --->

Well, here's the painting that started the whole this whole blog. Since I'm meandering about, I thought I might as well put up some art that's been crowding my head.
Actually, I am a big liar. This wasn't the one that started it all. The first one was an octopus playing Jengga. Yeah, it happens.
I made this one as a gift for a book-worm-topus my brother is dating.
Octopus and His Books by Boxyheadbry Clicking on the link will take you to a zazzle shop where you will purchase an ungodly amount of posters for all your holiday needs ( @_@)7~ (that's my hypno-face)
Seriously though, I think the prints kick ass especially framed as a set. Buy it or not, I hope you like it. :]
Let us test with this sketch. Test, test. Test!
So far so good.
:]
