She is reading Neverwhere, and the octopus is reading a book about idioms.
"It really is a great day to read at the park," he mused, pleased as punch.
We all know this dance.
People rushing, always rushing, towards something that they're afraid to miss out on. Nevermind the elbows to the eyes and the toes to be stepped on. If they stop pushing others around and instead made way for the their neighbors, maybe the ones who actually are in need - if they start stepping back, saying, "Oh hey... you go on ahead. I can wait," - we, all of us, may never get what we really want, but at least the line to get there wouldn't be so uncomfortable. We might actually find that it's quite pleasant, waiting in line, if we're all in it together.
This is what happens to the Christmas leftovers, so clean up your plates. Or don't, if you're lonely this Christmas and want a buddy.

"taketi taketi taki taketi taketi taketi tak" is what I hear.
So behind on the dino sketches but I've been off and on with this one. Taking a break before I do a clean or color pass.
I've been gone for some time, so I thought I'd post some of the mythological card concepts I had made for a client. Nice break from the usual game art I do, though I would've liked more tentacles on 'em. >_>
4th assignment for the zBrush class. Kudos to the oldies out there who know which 80s arcade game inspired this! Still lots of work/improvements to be done, but I had lots of fun making this one. I'm really loving zBrush... and there's still so much to learn. \( ° A °)/ For the next assignment, I think I'll just add more characters to the narrative, and slowly build on the story. Spoiler: Used to play this game called TwinBee in the arcades back in the late 80s, (6th grade?) and I remember always doodling them in class (specifically Ms. Javarta's science class). It was a really cool and simple game but with lots of personality. I liked that when your ship got damaged, he would lose his limbs. You'd then have to wait for a repair bot to give you new ones. Really great attention to detail and nuances that defined the better games back then. #twinbee #konami #zbrush
Drew some dragon skins for a mock hereditary chart for this game called Day of Dragons. Something I wish they'd do, since their breeding system is pretty basic at the moment. Still a fun game though, especially if you love flying. The feel of flying and animations are great! Check em out! Dragon is based on the game's Shadowscale (which is probably inspired by Toothless.)
