Guess who finished their first ever listen of The Magnus Archives January 1st. Me. It was me. Happy new year I'm still not emotionally recovered.

So, The Glass Scientists by Sage Cotugno is one of my absolute favourite Jekyll and Hyde stories and I would highly recommend it.
It has the same tone of lighthearted silliness mixed with genuine tragedy which I loved about the original novella
I gives Jekyll and Hyde both ample screentime so you get to see both of their perspectives, and get to know them both as people
It doesn't play the "Jekyll's pure good, Hyde's pure bad" card, which I appreciate
The character designs are great and Hyde's facial expressions are priceless!
It keeps in the queer narrative, which is a major part for many people reading the novella but I haven't seen other adaptations do it very well
It has a werewolf, and he's a very nice and sweet young man
And it's Webcomic, so it's free to read on the internet!
Edward Hyde, Victorian gremlin man, I love you so. β₯ This ended up looking a bit like concept art for an animated movie art style wise, and that just makes me sad there isn't a cutesy animated classic disney musical type Jekyll and Hyde movie because that would be amazing.
Quick sketch of my design for Sir Mordred.
I've loved the original medieval Arthurian stories for a long time now, they're just so strange and so emotional.
Baldr, the norse god of light, depicted with the magic ring Draupnir on his arm.
This is actually one of my non-digital paintings, the original painting is acrylic on canvas board ^_^
Edric Montagu from The Mummy! A Tale of the Twenty-Second Century by Jane Webb (later Jane C. Loudon)
The novel is from 1827, so he's another one of those 19th century funky little literary mad scientists trying to resurrect the dead and it's great!
This is my design for him because I've been looking and, at the time of writing this, there are basically no posts on here about this book, at all.
So A Tale of the Twenty-Second Century fans, if you exist, here is some fan art. β₯
Little sketch of Edward Hyde looking sassy.
(Quick little sketch of Jonathan Harker as I try to settle on a design for him.)
So, I was looking up Nico di Angelo's official birthday, and the internet tells me he was born (around) 1932 on January 28th Β Β Β Now, If he was born 1932, that would mean January 28th this year would be Nico's 90th birthday! (Ignoring Lotus Hotel time shenanigans, of course) Β Β So, we throwing him a party or what? :D Β
Artist / Illustrator I love social history, animated movies, and spooky stories β₯ If you would like to tip me for my work you can visit my Kofi here:ko-fi.com/artemisyates
