If last year was weird, this one has taken the cake! Although I can't complain, this year has also brought me beautiful projects and wonderful moments!

CLIMATE CHANGE IS REAL (2019)

ESP || Hace un tiempo la ilustradora @emmaillustrate creo la Interesante campaña “ kidlit4climate” para solidarizarse con "climate strike", un movimiento muy necesario para luchar contra las políticas que no tienen en cuenta el medio ambiente. Yo me quise unir aportando mi granito de arena con un universo que tiene claro que el cambio climático es real y pide ayuda para parar la contaminación que generamos de mil maneras diferentes y que está matando el planeta y muchas de las especies que lo habitan. 🌙🌎☀️ ENG || Some time ago the illustrator @emmaillustrate created the absolutely awesome campaign #kidlit4climate to show solidarity with the much needed #climatestrike movement. I wanted to contribute with a universe who has it clear: climate change is real and we need to stop the pollution that we generate in a thousand different ways and that is killing the planet and many of the species that inhabit it. ☀️🌎🌙

ES|| Aquí tenéis el retrato finalizado de la adorable Haizea que seguro que allá donde esté estará corriendo entre la nieve o entre las flores y las mariposas y durmiendo en sofás y camas muy altas, tal y como le gustaba a ella! Es increíble lo mucho que se hecha de menos a estas criaturitas peludas… Ella no vivía conmigo pero sus visitas era maravillosas y seguro que seguiré echando de menos sus miradas pidiendo compañía (o comida!). La verdad es que ya hace bastante que tenia acabada esta ilustración pero hasta ahora no os lo había enseñado, no sé si ha sido por todo el trabajo que tenia entre manos o si no me veía con ánimos para ello… En fin! Espero haber captado toda su belleza y ternura! ♥️ Deseo que os guste! EN|| Here’s the finished portrait of the adorable Haizea who wherever she is I’m sure is running in the snow or among the flowers and butterflies, and sleeping on very high sofas and beds, just the way she loved it! It's amazing how much these furry little creatures are missed when they are gone... She didn't live with me but her visits were wonderful and I'm sure I'll continue to miss her and her looks asking for company (or food!). To tell you the truth it's been a while since I finished this illustration but until now I hadn't shown it to you, I don't know if it was because of all the work I had in my hands or if I didn't have the strength for it... Anyway! I hope I’ve captured all of her beauty and tenderness! ♥️ I wish you like it!

ESP || Esta ilustración, aunque hace unos años que la hice, sigue siendo una de mis favoritas. Ayer fue el día de la madre y no hay mejor día para contaros la historia detrás de ella. Hace unos años mi madre se embarcó en el proyecto de abrir un espacio propio como terapeuta, como todos cuando empezamos un nuevo proyecto tenia mucha ilusión y nervios. Yo quise contribuir con una ilustración que le diera buena suerte y pensé en esta ave majestuosa, la cual en muchas culturas esta relacionada con la buena suerte, la compasión, la bondad y la resurrección, acompañado de diferentes flores como el lotus, símbolo de la espiritualidad, e insectos polinizadores esenciales para la vida. Aunque en estos momentos casi todos los autónomos vivimos momentos de incertidumbre, espero que esta ilustración le siga dando toda la buena suerte necesaria para volver a florecer!🌻

ENG || This illustration, although I did it a few years ago, is still one of my favorites. Yesterday was Mother's Day and there is no better day to tell you the story behind it. A few years ago my mother embarked on the project of opening a space of her own as a therapist, like everyone when we start a new project, she was very excited and nervous. I wanted to contribute with an illustration that would give him good luck and I thought of this majestic bird, which in many cultures is related to good luck, compassion, kindness and resurrection, accompanied by different flowers such as the lotus, symbol of spirituality, and pollinating insects essential for life. Although in these moments almost all the freelancers live moments of uncertainty, I hope that this illustration continues to give her all the good luck necessary to flourish again!🌻

CAT || Aquesta il·lustració, encara que fa uns anys que la vaig fer, segueix sent una de les meves preferides. Ahir va ser el dia de la mare i no hi ha millor dia per explicar-vos la història darrere d'ella. Fa uns anys la meva mare es va embarcar en el projecte d'obrir un espai propi com a terapeuta, com tots quan comencem un nou projecte tenia molta il·lusió i nervis. Jo vaig voler contribuir amb una il·lustració que li donés bona sort i vaig pensar en aquesta au majestuosa, la qual en moltes cultures està relacionada amb la bona sort, la compassió, la bondat i la resurrecció, acompanyada de diferents flors com el lotus, símbol de la espiritualitat, i insectes pol·linitzadors essencials per a la vida. Tot i que que a hores d'ara gairebé tots els autònoms vivim moments d'incertesa, espero que aquesta il·lustració li segueixi donant tota la bona sort necessària per tornar a florir! 🌻

EN|| Hi! Perhaps this little frog looks familiar to you, I made a very similar one in a square format more than a year ago (Wow! Time flies, it almost seems like it was yesterday when I had to put on the headlamp to paint it, because the electricity had gone out). This one, unlike the one from a year ago, is in a vertical format, has more little characters and, together with the snail, the fish and a toucan (which I haven't shown you yet), they’ll be on @gallerynucleus collective exhibition "Power in number 7 ”, opening on September 3rd in Alhambra CA. The entire postcard, like the others, is 5”x7” and is made with watercolors, gouache, polychromos, neocolors and watercolor pencils Remember the exhibition will debut in person only and is “cash and carry”, meaning once someone buys a piece, the buyer takes it home instead of remaining on display. Quizás os suene un poco esta ranita, hice una muy parecida en formato cuadrado hará más de un año (Uau! El tiempo pasa volando, casi parece que fuera ayer cuando me tuve que poner el frontal, porque se había ido la luz, para poderla pintar). Esta, a diferencia de la de hace un año, es en formato vertical, tiene más personajillos y, junto al caracol, los peces y a un tucán, estarán en la exposición colectiva de “Power in number 7” de @gallerynucleus que se inaugura el 3 de septiembre en Alhambra CA. La postal entera, como las demás, hace 5”x 7” y esta hecha con acuarelas, gouache, polychromos y neocolors. Recordad que la exposición debutará solo en persona y es “cash and carry”. Cuanto antes vayáis, más piezas podréis ver! Podéis encontrar más información sobre el evento en la web de la galería!
