“Protect” Sigil, used either on a person or object you wish too protect!
I got a LOT of these from @afledglings-guideto-witchcraft when they answered an ask I sent in, that blog is a fantastic place for information whether you've been practicing a few days or a few years imo.
I've been posting a lot about trying to find information on this subject and now I've gotten a good list compiled in a google doc and figured I'd share it with y'all, feel free to add on your own notes or just any commentary you have or experiences you've had using certain ingredients. I'm using some of these to make a hex jar to try and help a friend out with a shitty abusive household, which I might post more about if y'all would be interested in it, or if I just feel up to it.

Don't ever let anyone tell you you are a bad person or you're going to get hurt if you practice baneful magic at all no matter what. The threefold law is a rule that Wiccans follow, no one else is obligated to believe in it, I respect people who believe in it and they should respect people who don't. Always make sure to judge a situation very carefully and use this magic appropriately.
And, very very important, research on how to protect yourself from a spell backfiring (because you can get hurt), make sure that your intention is very focused on your specific target(s), and, if you're doing something similar to what I'm doing, do something (protection jars, spells, etc) to protect other people around this person or people from the effects of the jinx, hex, or curse. Oh and if you're casting a spell on someone else who practices witchcraft, make sure you know the signs if they deflect the spell back onto you and try and do what you can to prevent that from happening.

a lemon
a knife to cut the lemon
salt
a dish on which to pour salt
something to put it on (plate, bowl, etc.)
cleanse all the tools and ingredients however you feel comfortable (i use sound thru music playing and smoke cleansing)
cut the lemon in half - if you're able, envision the lemon being able to access the negativity after being opened and slowly pulling all the stale or negativity in.
pour salt into the dish you have set aside and place your intention on the salt to allow it to keep the negativity in the lemon. Focus on the salt acting as a protective barrier for the lemon so the negativity cannot break free, not as a door that it cannot get in.
coat the lemon halves by putting them open-face first into the salt. If you may choose to sprinkle the salt on the lemon instead, there is no need for the dish for salt.
place the lemon halves with salt on the dish you have designated for them and you may put them in a room of your home or living space that holds the most stale or negative energy. If the whole place is equally stale/negative, place in the main room or kitchen or place that is frequented.
if the lemon molds, redo the cleansing spell, the rotting lemon means that it has collected a lot very quickly. best result is that the lemon dries out without molding. I normally repeat this every couple months.
Materials:
Any stone associated with fire (e.g. amber, sunstone, fire opal).
A yellow/gold/orange/red candle.
Anything that YOU associate with fire/warmth.
Instructions:
Take several deep, calming breaths and clear your mind before you begin.
Light the candle and hold your hands close, feeling the warmth of the fire. Imagine the warmth spreading through your fingertips, up your arms, and into the rest of your body.
Take a few moments to bask in the warmth. Feel the cold slipping away.
Hold the stone of your choice (or substitute) over your heart. Keep your breathing slow and even as the warmth envelopes your body, fueled by the stone.
Take as long as you’d like to bask in the warmth. Once you’re ready, blow out the candle.
Keep your stone/object of choice with you on cold winter days to bring you some warmth! ☀️🔥🌟
Feel free to substitute any materials or tweak the process. Do whatever works for you!
Common Uses: Cleansing, Connection to the Goddess, Fertility, New Beginnings, Opening of the Third Eye, Protection. Elemental Association: Water Planetary Association: The Moon Hag Stones, also known as Holey Stones, Witch Stones, or Adder Stones, are naturally occurring stones that have a hole or holes in them, typically found near the ocean and other bodies of water. The holes occur due to the elements taking their toll on the surface of the stone, eventually breaking their way through in a specific manner. Known to be powerful protection charms, they are said to protect the owner from anything ranging from negative spirits to hexes to curses to spiritual harm. If hung up next to your bed side or kept under a pillow, it is said that they will aid in preventing nightmares. It is said that if one were to peer through one of a Hag Stone’s holes, it will allow you to see the Fair Folk and other otherworldly beings at will. At your own risk. Rumor also has it that if the stone were to break, it has used its power to protect a life. Who’s life? Good question.
Materials:
1 yellow candle
1 green candle
1 piece of yellow ribbon, yarn or thread
1 piece of green ribbon, yarn or thread
1 piece of orange ribbon, yarn or thread
oil meant for luck or success (such as cinnamon, clove or bergamot)
(optional) mint or rosemary oil, to enhance memory
Light the yellow candle, then the green. Make sure there’s enough room to work between the two. Take the three pieces of ribbon/yarn/thread (all long enough to make a bracelet for) and begin to braid them together. The yellow, for intelligence and clarity; the green for luck; and the orange for success. As you braid them, visualize symbols associated with studying, intelligence and knowledge (books, things relate to the subject matter, etc). Once you finish braiding, dab a little bit of the oil over the place where you will tie it, and tie the bracelet (or anklet) around your wrist (or ankle) and wear it when you study and during your test.
